The brilliance of Sarah Palin

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they attack you, then you win.
We have been noticing a lot more attacks on Sarah Palin lately. The latest concedes she is brilliant.

The speech was inspired drivel, a series of distortions and oversimplifications, totally bereft of nourishing policy proposals — the sort of thing calculated, carefully calculated, to drive lamestream media types like me frothing to their keyboards. Palin is a big fat target, eminently available for derision. But I will not deride. Because brilliance must be respected, especially when it involves marketing

Needless to say, all the examples of “drivel” he presents are examples of Palin telling the truth in clear and folksy language.  Where others talked of “rationalizing” health care, she said “death panels” – for death panels they are.

She was the inventor of the mythic, noxious “death panels.” In Nashville, she retailed nonsense about stimulus funds going to nonexistent districts. (A spokesman for Vice President Joe Biden, who is monitoring the stimulus package, told me that all funds went to actual places — but recipients occasionally didn’t write down their correct congressional districts.)

Business management 101. If the CEO cannot find out where the money was spent, it was embezzled. Sarah Palin knows this. The moron press does not.  That is what makes her smart, and people like Joe Klein who wrote this shit dumb as posts.
