No. She is charged with making a false rape accusation against a minority. She should have done what everyone else does, make false rape accusations against lower income and/or rural members of the majority ethnic group of males.

It is reasonably safe to accuse minorities, but even safer to accuse male members of the majority race and ethnic group, safer still to accuse the out of power faction of the majority group.
Oh, I thought I was providing evidence for your case rather than a critique. She was not actually charged with a crime, you’re right. But she was systematically publicly humiliated, violating allegedly iron-clad norms about doing such things to alleged rape victims. I’m not even sure her allegations were false.
