We discovered that those massive caravans of illegals had been funded and organized by USAID through a chain of cutouts. A single man Pablo Sanfras, was the chief executive officer who organized the caravans, a man who had been funded by South American ngos, who had been funded by American ngos who had been funded by USAID, to the tune of four billion.
Supposedly this was humanitarian assistance to the poor suffering people in the caravans, but the money was sent to these poor suffering people through the man organizing the caravans.
According to Pew Research center migrant encounters at the US Mexico border at the lowest level in more than 50 years.
It is not just that Border Patrol is stopping them, it is not just that ICE is throwing them out when they get past border control, it is that they are not coming. It is not primarily what Trump changed in the United States, it is what he changed in Latin America. What did he do to change things in Latin America? He sicced Musk onto USAID.
Defunding USAID defunded the Democrats — USAID funded the ngos, and the ngos funded Democratic party candidates
Pride went broke. Suddenly no one shows up.
Rap leaves the top 40. Country and Western replacing it. Maybe this is a spontaneous change in public taste, but if so, it is a change that just happened to happen at the same time as USAID stopped pushing rap down the throats of the public
The problem with Socialism is that one day you run out of other people’s money.
Sounds like for the Dems, “one day” just showed up.
Would all the people competing with each other online about how much they all hate Donald Trump also all go away if someone pulled the plug on the money supply to them?
So who’s going to start Civil War II? The Left has no money and no leadership, and openly hates the only people capable of providing those things, White and Jewish straight cis-men. That’s not a political position, it’s a mental illness. Unless Trump does like Tsar Nicholas and loses World War III with millions of Americans killed, Civil War II just isn’t going to happen.
All civil wars are one part of the apparatus of state going to war against another part of the apparatus of state.
Civil War II will proceed with state governments going to war with the federal government, or one part of the federal government going to war with another.
One side or both sides will make the pretense that this is a spontaneous popular uprising.
Are you insane? The Left has all the money and all the leadership, and has for 100 years plus. It’s the Right that doesn’t have these things. The Left might well win by default because we can’t get it together enough to put up a large-scale fight; the reverse is beyond delusional.
Since Musk couped USAID, Maga has three times the funding that the Democrats have. As for leadership, what leaders do they have? Kamala Harris? Biden? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? Nancy Pelosi? You call those leaders? The Democrats are in chaos.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to back off from woke, but leftism must get ever lefter ever faster, so we are looking at yet another swerve on the road to the left singularity — but plainly leftists are not in agreement as to which way to swerve. The glaringly obvious direction is Nick Fuentes, James Fishback, and Dan Bilzerian plus socialism.
>Since Musk couped USAID, Maga has three times the funding that the Democrats have.
My god. USAID was a victory, but it was only one of the hydra’s infinite heads, and DOGE fell to pieces immediately after. As for MAGA vs Democrat funding, I’m extremely skeptical of your 3-to-1 number, but even if it were true, formal funding of the political parties is a tiny sliver of the equation. Every American tax dollar goes to the Left to pay off its votebanks, to propagandize the public in their ideas, to prosecute their enemies, and to accomplish their ends. Total spending on the midterms, from both parties, is estimated at $11.6 billion. In New York state alone, Medicaid homecare spending (money for the Left’s pets to stay home and care for their own aged parents) is $11.9 billion annually. Somali fraud in MN (one favored ethnic group in one state) is likely comparable, albeit over several years. These are just small slices of the vast pie the Left feasts on as a matter of course. Every government agency at every level – state, local, or federal – is required by law to have numerous well-paid sinecures for professional Leftists, as is every business larger than mom-and-pop. Anarchonomicon’s piece on “organization” is essential reading: https://www.anarchonomicon.com/p/can-you-organize-your-way-out-of.
For leadership, you’re looking for a Great Man of History, and there aren’t any to be had on either side. What the Left has instead is every Organization Man in the country, and the Organization Men make and enforce the decisions: 1000 kings one mile away. They have every high military officer, every bureaucrat, every professor, every judge, every HR lady, the vast majority of the billionaires, and the vast majority of the artists, writers, filmmakers, journalists, and other propaganda-creators. Could a Napoleon sweep them all away in a season? Maybe, maybe not, but we don’t have a Napoleon.
The whitepill is prog leftism is less of a live faith then it used to be the blackpill is with the economy broken seemingly beyond repair since the covid bullshit and with crushing debt old fashioned socialism is becoming a live faith again.
And yet, today, the Democrats are still broke.
You don’t know who is going to be the great man of history until his time comes. Trump’s time came, but he fell short, fishing in the Rubicon. Up next, Vance and Pete Hegseth, both of whom have potential. And Baron is so determined to keep his potential under wraps as to lead to a widespread suspicion that he has something worth hiding.
Will Pete Hegseth be General Monck? He certainly has that potential.
Well obviously they do not. The Oligarchs have deserted them en masse. They don’t have the vast majority of the billionaires.
Nor to they have the vast majority of the artists, indeed they have scarcely any artists. What they have is people whom HR has given the official job title of producing art. Their artists are manifestly incapable of producing art.
What is the pinnacle and queen of leftist official art? Kathleen Kennedy. I am two times the artist than any of them. The left cannot meme, neither can it art.
When they installed their preferred “artists”, their art went to shit. Observe how when Musk couped USAID, country and western replaced rap, and country and western is rather right wing. Similarly video games. The video game industry was artificially helicoptered full of leftists, and now it is collapsing, being replaced by reactionary video games that outrage, enrage, and infuriate the left — thus Palworld has slavery, guns, and capitalism, Stellar blade infuriates the left for sexism. World of Warcraft was cheerfully racist and Christian, became leftist, is now dying, and pretty soon we are going to see another massively multiplayer on line role playing game based on something like the Palworld universe to take over what World of Warcraft has abandoned. Just add fantastic racism, group combat, Christianity, and sexism to Palworld, and it will be a better World of Warcraft.
Consider for example Yukiwaru, hired by a left wing art company to produce leftist art. For a long time she walked on eggshells, and said only politically correct things, then eventually she said something forbidden, got thrown out and now is producing explicitly right wing art — and she was the only artist they had who was any good, she was their primary source of revenue. Much the same story has Joe Rogan and so many others. If anyone on the left is any good, they are only faking being on the left and sooner or later the truth comes out.
When Waifu Wares deplatformed and defunded Yukiwaru, they found they had instead deplatformed and defunded themselves.
If you look at the art that people actually want, it is right wing art.
And the same for journalists and journalism. Today, where are people getting their news? Not from the legacy official journalists.
Please stop using the Left’s vocabulary like ‘cis’ etc. It’s how they take over, by altering language definitions.
This is great, but it can all be reversed the moment the demo-KKK-rats take power again. It isn’t enough to close the border, we have to start shooting at anyone who even comes close to it.
Killing USAid stopped a lot of bad stuff it certainly made South America a lot better and it seemed to shut down certain of the worst cultural excesses in the US (not all of them, there are still a very large minority of foids defending Lindsay Clancy and all the old ugly ones need to be killed and the younger ones be put in rape camps) the problem is there was a lot of other bad stuff in other bad offices and Trump chickened out when the cuck republican leadership started chimping out about DOGE impoundments infringing on congressional terf (yes they really did this) instead of shutting down all the leftist purses. Why wasn’t the office of refugee resettlement shutdown permanently…
How did the fasting go? I’m impressed by your discipline. I also fasted yesterday, about 30 hours, and had a good breakfast this morning.
It went well I’m not ussually disciplined but I can be disciplined in spurts, I’m trying to follow Gurdjieffian exercises to develop a true will and practicing self struggle the long fast was mostly for health but partially for that. I went for 110 hours I would have kept it up even longer except I felt woozy and weak in the legs I broke my fast this morning with plain greek yogurt with added raspberries and blueberries (all greatly more edible in combination with each other then they are by themselves) and a bit of kerrygold butter. Next time I will use specific electrolytes and try to go for 7 days though I’m not sure how long in the future that will be. I do not think I will ever go beyond 7 days.
BTW as far as developing discipline goes (which certainly helped me do a 5 day fast in accordance with my greater will against my lower will to gorge myself) I highly recommend a youtube channel called “Magnetic to Models” its supposed focus is pickup but its really about the development of the will. Trigger warning its not anti Christian (the guy said he hated satanists because they were a bunch of libtards and that he worships God not satan because God is power) but its very very into what anyone would call the occult not in terms of weird symbolic rituals and blood magic but its into the occult as in the intersection of human psychology, neuroscience and physical reality. Oh he does support Jimian ideas of what women want but if you hate and fear anything that would touch on the occult and think it will damn your soul to even know about it its not for you.
If otherwise its great and very practical stuff to help you become a mentally stronger person.
Promises magic powers to make you attractive to women.
I doubt it.
And, supposing it to be true, which seems unlikely, you are getting aid from beings who do not have your best interests at heart.
“how to use the magical power of words to brainwash women to …”
Nah. That is the wrong frame for picking up women.
The development of the will stuff is useful if nothing else is…
Also his content about male and female attraction psychology is the closest to what you say that I’ve EVER seen nobody before you said psychopathy is just masculinity except he came to the same conclusion if you watch his “serial killer aura” video…
It is a pity that the devil has all the good puas.
That I genuinely find it difficult to refrain from killing people helps a lot with women.
I’ve NEVER seen anyone as close to your POV on women before (and it goes beyond what I’ve said he sounds like hes been ripping you off on lots of things). He denies being affiliated with the devil because he says “satanists are libtards” and he likes god because god is power. What he has says is he has demons he is in control of (and that psychopaths end up in trouble because they are not in control of) and women love that whereas you have said I have little monsters and I let them out to play and women love that.
The next current thing is that Elon is drying up all the rivers, turning fertile green pastures into desert, to power his data centres (large black inhuman cubes). The ideas get passed into children from teachers. The teachers are unpurged and still at it, though the USAID stuff suggests that without the money and prestige behind current thing, all the attempts at finding the next current thing will fizzle out
The Left already has an “evil black cube and desert people” religion that they are rather in favor of, despite it being contrary to all of their pretended values, simply because it isn’t Christianity.
Musk is an asset and I would like to have seen him go much further with auditing government waste. Maybe we’ll see more of him in government. He has a big X account where it’s easy to pick up followers by replying positively to his posts.
I recall Musk talking about property ownership and businesses can become an attack vector. Perhaps he meant a way for government and leftist to strip your assets.
It occurred to me today that hero worship can also become an attack vector to yourself. Role models can add character to your life, but in the end we are all just human. Despite that, we are gifted with a very long life. See the good, but know that all things end.
Can you show your work on this? I don’t get anything just putting “Pablo Sanfras USAID” into search engines, even non-Western ones.
Adding my request for this too, in case the original was ignored/dismissed as coming from a random anon.
Considering how specific the claim is, I’d expect to be able to find something, but there is literally nothing. I wasn’t lazy in my search for corroborating sources, either; figuring it might be one of Jim’s quaint misspellings, I tried several variations across multiple search engines but found no matches in any relevant context (there’s a “Sanfra” tied to Brazil but I’m sure that’s not it).
I doubt that Jim personally made it up, but I wonder if it originated from some dark, unindexed corner of social media where someone else made it up. Either that or the names and details have been mangled beyond recognition.
Obviously I don’t expect mainstream media to cover a story like that, but there are enough immigration hawk blogs and xitter accounts that one of them, somewhere, ought to register a hit. The only one that comes up, on Russian search engines, is this post right here.
Hierophant of Corona-Chan David Morens pleads guilty to deceptive deeds:
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2026/08/18/fauci-senior-advisor-david-morens-pleads-guilty-to-conspiracy-to-defraud-the-united-states/
This and last week’s arrest of former SPLC CFO Heidi Beirich for both figuratively and literally sleeping with the enemy are glad tidings.
Since the Great Data Loss a few months ago apparently ate the prior discussion of the Austin Metcalf murder case, I’ll update here.
Jim, you were closer to the mark on Anthony’s motive than me as the evidence revealed during the hearing for a potential new trial paints him as a nigger waiting to explode. Texted fantasies of barbaric murder along with his being committed to a psychiatric diversionary program at the age 10 were withheld during the original trial by the prosecution. The vague reasoning reminds of the prosecution in the Henry Novak murder case in England also keeping damning evidence from the jury. The defense allegedly deserves a fighting chance at a not guilty verdict, so the jury needs to remain ignorant of certain facts, so the argument appears.
Off topic.
The Ghost in the Shell reboot is fascinating, it got me into the original manga and really highlighted the flaws. It has been over 30 years since the original Oshii adaptation, and the franchise has been through everything that works (Oshii’s movies/SAC), doesn’t quite works (Innocence), doesn’t work (Current adaptation/manga), outright flops (Arise), and being absolutely butchered (Hollywood/Netflix).
Shirow Masamune explored concepts significantly better than telling a story, and without the original adaptation the franchise would have never become a classic. He was great at building a world around those concepts, he was the ideas man. Oshii was the artist, great at constructing a narrative based on the foundation and giving it the right flair. Production I.G, management, kept Oshii’s artistic flair under control, see any of his works when given complete freedom/Angel’s Egg/Red Spectacles/Vlad Love (really bad).
Arise, while produced by Production I.G, lacked narrative cohesion and artistic flair, which was obviously going to happen in hindsight when they put a Kazuchika Kise whose entire career is only know for character design in charge. The current adaptation skims the ideas, has no thematic or narrative cohesion, and just falls apart.
Nothing needs to be said about the American adaptations for there is nothing positive.
What this should inform us, and media producers if you’re reading, is that 3 components need to function in harmony. The ideas guy, the artist, and business management who keep both moderately under control. In essence it’s all social tech.
Where did DOGE go?
USAID was just a name, one name of something else – did they get all of it?
James Fishback and Dan Bilzerian were crushed last night. [*deleted for all the usual reasons*]
And a good thing it was. Fishback and Bilzerian , like you, are leftists pretending to be right wing.
You should never be so racist that you forget that white liberals are the worst people in the world.
As a Christian and as an American I have lots of grievances against the Jews, but everyone pointing at the Jews is pointing away from our more real and serious enemies and problems. The Jews are the matador’s cape.
The liberals are more like Scar, and the Jews are more like his hyenas.
Randy Fine (who weighs about 300 pounds) said “let them starve” in response to a picture of a starving Palestinian baby on X. [*deleted*]
Every Middle Eastern ethnicity has a pile of very good reasons for going genocidal on most other Middle Eastern ethnicities. Not my problem, provided they are not targeting me as well.
I think the Jews in the form of people Bibi wanting to prematurely attack Iran. Then somehow forcing America’s hand undermined the momentum of the offensive against domestic political enemies.
And undermining the popularity of the Trump administration by causing fuel problems.
This disproportionate influence I don’t really like. In undermining Western interests.
Pretty much. My only quibble is that the campaign against domestic enemies had already stalled out, so the administration foolishly thought it could substitute some easy foreign victories. The Great Orange Boomer tossed America’s last chance into the toilet because his decaying mind was was traumatized in 1980 by footage of Iranians chanting, “Death to America!”
Although the deportations including mass deputization is in effect. So there is good progress. There is still a ton of fraud and welfare funds still serving as funding for our enemies that needs to be dealt with.
Who are our more real and serious enemies and what are our more real and serious problems? It is assumed they are not mutually exclusive. Serious question as it is increasingly hard not to notice what has and is being done by said group.
Never be so racist that you forget that white liberals are the worst people in the world.
Fair and good point. These people are absolutely corrosive to the foundations of an advanced, free, and civilized society. I suppose the question is which one came first. They seem incapable of having an original thought yet maintain all manner of irrational ideas when reality is smashing them in the face. The 1965 immigration and naturalization act seems well beyond their ability. More useful idiot foot soldiers. What is the solution to neutralize them when others are trying to use them for nefarious purposes?
You imply that white liberals are bad because of evil Jewish mind rays.
On the contrary, Jews are bad because of evil white liberal mind rays. Orthodox Jews, the guys in funny hats, are not really causing any very substantial problems. They may be screwing their own children in tunnels under synagogues, but they are not transitioning other people’s children in the public schools.
The Orthodox do cause problems for us: they’re crooked, clannish, and ruthless, and the ultra-Orthodox are utterly shameless welfare queens with the smarts and self-discipline to milk more from our systems than Shaniqua could dream of doing. Still, you’re right: they’re manageable. The Reform Jews are the real problem.
The secular Jew is a hideous chimera of the smarmy libtard and the devious Shylock. You’re eager to blame everything on the gentile Leftist, because you don’t want to be mistaken for a lumpen anti-Semite, and plenty of blame belongs there, but there is a particularly Jewish element in our decline and fall. The secular Jew buys into the Lennonist Imagine vision, but he keeps some of the old Jewish ethnic loyalty and still nurses the ancient fears, hatreds, and grudges against us.
Kalergi said the man of the future would be a Eurasian-Negroid hybrid, all racial strife dissolving forever into beige homogeneity, but still he envisioned a small caste of pure Jews ruling over the mixed masses for eternity. The modern libtarded Jew says America is just an idea, open to all; Britain has always been a Land of Immigrants, and Europe “will not survive” unless it becomes multicultural. And he truly believes it. But Israel is a different story: to deny it its moral right to ethnic purity is to call for genocide. In A Serious Man, the Cohen brothers give us a guided tour of the modern secular Jewish id, and it’s clear that they hate, fear, and look down on us. Allowing these people to control entertainment, news, and finance – the nervous system of our civilization – has proven to be a fatal mistake. Would the White Leftist have done the same? Sure, but the damage the secular Jew does is supercharged by his unprincipled exceptions to Leftism.
Exactly so: And that vision is an evil white liberal mind ray poisoning the Jews, not an evil Jewish mind ray poisoning the whites.
Your indictment of both secular and orthodox Jews is true — but still, you should never be so racist that you forget that white liberals are the worst people in the world.
Kalergi was not Jewish, therefore it is unlikely he envisioned a small caste of pure Jews ruling over the mixed masses for eternity, nor do his writings contained anything that can reasonably be interpreted as expressing such a vision.
Reform Jews are the first and greatest victims of the Kalergi plan that they are implementing.
The confusion arises because people are reluctant to blame an evil plan to destroy the white race on whites, particularly when the plan has obvious Jewish support, and Jews are heavily involved in the most obvious and most evil aspects of the plan. But whites are wolf to whites, always have been, always will be, and the most dangerous and difficult whites of all are the Aryans, a race forged in endless war between Aryan and Aryan. Jews are involved in the Kalergi plan merely as servants and tools.
Those implementing the Kalergi plan intend to eradicate the Jewish race even faster and more urgently than they intend to eradicate the white race, have always intended this, and are in fact successfully doing so.
Jews are implementing the Kalergi plan as the tools of evil white liberal master minds who have it in for the Jews, not the other way around.
Also, I can’t believe I posted all that and didn’t mention Maurice Samuel’s, You Gentiles. I can’t recommend it enough.
>Kalergi was not Jewish, therefore it is unlikely he envisioned a small caste of pure Jews ruling over the mixed masses for eternity, nor do his writings contained anything that can reasonably be interpreted as expressing such a vision.
Huh. I thought he was Jewish. I guess I might be one of the lumpen anti-Semites you don’t want to be mistaken for. Anyway, he did marry a Jew, and he most certainly proposed that the Jews should rule the world. Practical Idealism has a chapter titled, “Jewry and the Nobility of the Future,” and he goes on and on about all the ways Jews are superior to gentile Europeans and why they should and must rule us. Admittedly, he mentions a few flaws that they will have to overcome to achieve their destiny, but the gist is clear. He also proposes some mixing of the Jews with the very best of the Europeans, but submerging into the Eurasian-Negroid masses is clearly out of the question.
No, did not. The chapter on erasing whiteness, the Kalergi plan, immediately follows “the Jewry and the Nobility of the future” chapter, and explains that his Jewish nobility gets thrown into trash compactor with whiteness. It is the classic evil white liberal mind ray: “Hey Jews, destroy yourselves and us”
Yes, his plan is that those extremely irritating left liberal Jews are going to rule the world — but they are not going to reproduce, least of all with each other.
Which is, of course, exactly what is happening, exactly how the Kalergi plan is playing out. Jews get disproportionate influence on their way to the graveyard. The Kalergi plan is that Jews are going to be the new nobility and dissolve into the brownish mass to the extent that they have any children at all.
With friends like Kalergi, the Jews do not need enemies.
BTW bitcoin apparently bounced on shorts being taken out was this likely the reversal or a dead cat bounce?
Shorts symptom not cause. The faggot panic’d and bailed the bunds. But he’s gone kinda hard in other areas, so maybe gave him a pass. Keep the 20% anyway.
I don’t follow Bitcoin day to day, or even month to month. Do that, and you will lose money.
Bitcoin is now near bottom. Maybe past bottom, but if so, not going to imminently shoot up by a lot. Probably the real bottom is not yet. I expect bitcoin to wander around at near the current price for around eight months to a year.
What has happened is that people fled the dollar for gold and silver. They will discover that gold and silver is inconvenient for international transactions.
The Maxis have been selling Bitcoin as a store of value. This is foolish. Lots of things can store value, and many of them have high and obvious non monetary value. Bitcoin’s great strength is movement at the speed of light without regulators being able to intercept it.
Cutting USAID stopped some shit, but didn’t stop the flood of Infi-Nigger and Infi-Islam, didn’t stop the in-country births and birthrights, and the unreported/buried/manipulated crime data is always 10x the reported amount…

MarkZuckerberg is now publishing info guides on all his platforms aimed at “migrants” covering how to get free food/housing “asylum/citizenship” etc. He’s a piece of shit, and a lying traitor for claiming to be in support of USA/MAGA/West. This Jew is no better than the Soros/WEF Jews.
The Pope actively supports the Migrant Importation Plan against White Spain too. Gives them all rhetorical talking points, travel guides, white-knight liberal women with food baskets.
The interviewer was more angry about Elon posting about 250,000 girls in the UK being raped than about 250,000 girls in the UK being raped.

There are large numbers of well-armed western White Men bored working the 9-to-5 just waiting for the order to come that makes it legal to begin the purging of all the Leftists/Globalists/GovPols/Jews/Media/Banks behind all this shit.
Not just Evropa, the USA will soon be the proud Islamo-Nigger rape capital of the West, just one more birthrate generation away, so about 10-18 years until the Infi-Diversity rape news becomes even more undeniable than it already was 10-18 years ago.
Bullshit.
Zuckerberg knows which way the wind blows.
Are you not posting my thoughts on Florida elections (Fishback and Bilzerian lost horribly) because it makes Boomers look bad?
I am not posting your thoughts because they are leftism pretending to be righter than thou.
For that matter Fishback was leftism pretending to be righter than thou.
Yep, I knew immediately when he said he wanted to give money to teachers… what good right winger doesn’t generally hate teachers (my HS teachers were mostly alright but my middle and most of my elementary school teachers should have all been impaled) and this guy wants to give them money.
Unrelated but, @Jim, what do you think about this paper about the shrinking birth rate?
https://www.sas.upenn.edu/~jesusfv/Demographics.pdf
It is becoming kind of popular around certain circles of the economics academia. He seems to tiptoe around the real answer (women emancipation) when he mentions modernity as a possible cause.
Bullshit. What they actually means is that “We understand the clear and glaringly obvious mechanism behind this collapse in marriage, fertility, sexual activity, sexual love, and sexual relationships, but it is unthinkably impolite to speak of them out loud”
It is the elephant in the living room.
The article can be summed up and paraphrased as follows: “The collapse in fertility might be caused by this thing, that thing, or the other thing, but it is positively definitely not caused by that thing that no one should mention. No it is absolutely nothing to do with us criminalizing men hitting on women or passing shit tests, nothing to do with the state crashing into families and destroying the lives of men attempting have a wife and children. Clearly that has absolutely nothing to do with it.”
I have posted umpteen posts on relationship game, on picking up chicks, on long term relationship game, on marital game, and in every post I tell you that if you are not willing to seriously break the law, you are not going to have a long term relationship.
Marriage 1.0 has been criminalized, and Marriage 2.0 has a one hundred percent failure rate. There are no successful Marriage 2.0 marriages, none.
I say this as a man with two successful marriages, the second one over a very large age gap, who has banged more women than I can remember. I know whereof I speak. I understand women. I know what women want.
If you are not willing to routinely break the law, you will not know sex and love, you will not have children and grandchildren.
The collapse in fertility is a downstream consequence of the collapse of heterosexual relationships, of love, sex, and family formation. And the collapse of love, sex,and family formation is a downstream consequence of media that spitefully, stridently, venomously, and hatefully demonizes the mating dance and normal sexual relationships, and a state that criminalizes them.

The “Modernity” excuse is a linguistic psyop whitewash used to pacify you into accepting even more of the destruction being done to you.
Obviously one step is to own and control your women again.
“Japanese males are terrified of women, and Japanese women have enormous power to capriciously destroy the lives of any male in the general vicinity. Hence the calamitous collapse of fertility
Pretty sure Japan does have absurdly high female status. Spandrell has a anecdotes about them destroying the lives of men around them, anime has jokes showing males terrified of being accused of touching women: Some schoolboys are on a train with schoolgirls. The train gets crowded and they raise their hands in the air as if surrendering at pistol point, for fear of being accused of physical contact with the girls. I see a lot of indicators of Japanese men being terrified of the capricious power of females to destroy their lives.
Rather more Japanese females than males receive a university education, though the ratio is not so brutally and savagely extreme as Saudi Arabia or Iran. What is brutal and extreme is the capricious destruction of the lives of males on female whim”
Interesting comment, excellent.
Please elaborate on how women in general & Asiatic women in particular capriciously destroy the lives of men in their general vicinity & the deep mechanism behind it, also do elaborate on the deep stechiological principles that leads to women wielding such omni-incompassing, untranscendable omnipervasive social power where they can capriciously & randomly punish men at large in their general vicinity, what specific teleological failure mode leads to this omnideprecating civilizationwide decrepitude & what causes Men to obey the wicked commands of women & punish their fellow inculpable men.
How can it all be transcended? Are all normie NPCs True believers in the state-religion & that leads to ad infinitum self-incrementating hyperexponential positive feedback loops on some specific hyperniche doctrine that is a subcomponent of leftism as a whole leading to infinitating spiral on said doctrine leading further to totalitarian mass murder?
Observed fertile subgroups have a faith that resist the state faith,

Unfortunately, the National Endowment for Democracy was still funded to the tune of 300+ million in FY2026. A globohomo institution effectively just as bad as USAID.
Can’t really blame Trump or DOGE for that one though. They tried to defund it, but courts stepped in and disloyal Rs sided with dems to keep the money flowing.
Where Trump is to blame is he should have just said the courts have no jurisdiction over the executive long ago stating that Marbury vs Madison was a fiction the courts invented themselves and after the Kirk assassination the rule of law should have been suspended in favor of what breaker Morant called rule 303 which should have been applied to every democrat office holder, major donor and judge in the country.
Trump is to blame for not crossing the Rubicon. He could have done so with the detail mentioned above or used any other opportunity. If he had done so, one thing would quickly have lead to another. @Pax give me the real rundown with what happened to this. How can the army “scrap” this when the president and SecDef support it and how did they kill it. Second of all WHY did they kill it. I would think anyone who is not the shitlibbiest of shitlibs would think that you know its probably a good idea to keep stupid people from becoming officers. During WWII and before disparate impact it was definitely the policy of the army (and surprisingly the Marines which I was surprised to learn actually had the highest IQ requirements of all the services in WWII which is not the stereotype of Marines even their officers).
Should be easy to enforce an ASVAB standard of 90s across the board for OTS. Also lose the beards (accept Navy) and guts.
I’m waiting to here from Pax who from what I understand is a current army officer on
A) How this could be killed
B) How anyone could really object to this, I know the military has shitlibs but not wanting a minimum slightly higher level than average intelligence among military decision makers is like zealous SJW shitlib territory and I’m surprised there is a lot of that in the military.
This is not insisting they all be geniuses just that they apparently have about a 110 IQ.
I won’t comment on which service I’m in. Take that as you will.
It works like this. Say I’m a plt cmdr. The company cmdr. order me to have my enlisted do maintenance on the barracks. Maintenance that actually needs to be done and that the contractors who own the bldg. won’t do or will delay beyond reason. Now there are a ton of ways I can fuck with the order. The contract is written by someone much higher up than the company level, and it forbids the military from doing any maintenance… fucked isn’t it? I can therefore tell higher to pound sand until they have proper authorization. Higher can’t outright fire me because I’m appointed by the president (technically congress but they ceded that legal authority a long time ago). They could try to take legal action, but that is a 2 year process, that they will likely lose. Their recourse is to go much higher to the base cmdr. and have him sign a COA which then makes it a lawful order. I can then tell my enlisted that the maintenance requires ladders they do not have, and thus it is not safe to conduct the maintenance (it’s for replacing the damn ceiling fan light bulbs). Company can then say, we’ll just stand on the furniture, to which I can say, it violates other stamding SOPs/COAs for which they’ll need another COA from base cmdr, or they could provision ladders, which would then take time and a lot of paperwork. Keep in mind that the base cmdr. has a shit ton of other issues and he’s probably not going to take the time to write any COA for such a petty issue, which means the company staff needs to do that and present it to him to sign off on, but a legally compliant COA requires legal expertise which requires going through the JAGs, who are swamped in legal cases because these days we litigate everything. By the time everything is above board and the company can actually force me to make the enlisted do something, there has been a change of command and the issue gets killed.
Of course this would be really bad for my relationship with company staff, but if I have a good relationship with Battalion staff…
Ok, not exactly the same situation, but the under sec does not exactly fall directly under the secretary, the title is a misnomer. Think of the relationship as that between a company cmdr. and the senior enlisted advisor to the battalion cmdr., technically I can tell master sergeant I out rank him, but he’s outside my chain of command in a sense that he answer directly to my boss, so he can tell me to pound sand. It would take my Battalion cmdr. to order him on my behalf, which he probably won’t do because that’s like my higher now working for me inverting the chain of command.
The under sec is appointed by the president, and confirmed by congress, not Hegseth, and so he answers to the president and not Hegseth. So Hegseth would need to get Trump involved, but it’s not clear the president can easily fire or directly order someone in that position without legal involved going through all the hoops.
I’ll post a follow up later to answer your other question.
“…probably not going to take the time to write any COA for such a petty issue,…”
Greetings…
If this is literal, not example, “petty” is the correct word. One should not ruin their life over orders unless grave.
What they will likely do is make a note about leadership on your OER and replace you with a lieutenant.
If the enlisted defy you, make them assemble and do squat-thrusts in the sun and tell them you will not be defied.
Case closed, Humungus is always available for career advice.
I was talking about what officers can do to other officers to not comply and avoid major trouble while doing so. The example of barracks maintenance for something as simple as light bulbs taking almost two years was based on a real incident for which no one except the enlisted suffered for it.
More to TC, officer quality has been falling since WW2. Even in the Marine Corps has seen a major decline.
https://qz.com/458372/over-40-of-todays-new-marine-officers-wouldnt-have-made-the-cut-in-world-war-ii
Hell, between 2020 and today there has been a very noticeable decline. Back in 2021, the only ones that could not write well were born overseas. Now we have domestic born ones who can’t write basic leave requests.
Officership today is not the same job. Look at the o to e ratio of ww2 vs now. There are significantly more officer jobs today due to needs of the beurocracy needing to expand to deal with prior expansion.
You don’t need to be all that bright to be the SAPR, or EO, or the SARCO, but units are mandated to have them. Many officers today are not in leadership roles as what the public imagines as an officer, but more as compliance enforcers and HR. Supply is also pretty brain dead. It’s where they put all the dumb ones in.
Combat arms, intel, comms/signals, are generally pretty smart, but the expansion of everything else required a need to just have bodies.
If you as a lieutenant had your captain told you he wanted the barracks fixed (assuming the enlisted men did have the skills among them to do it) and you tried to weasel out of doing that witb bureaucratic BS wouldn’t your captain even if you were on firm legal ground potentially have a lot of ways to make your life very miserable though?
The old movie from Here to Eternity was about a guy (enlisted) who’s captain wanted him to box, now legally he couldn’t order him to join the boxing team but he made his life very very miserable because he refused to join the boxing team. I thought that was a general problem with going against the wishes of your superiors in the military.
Thank you for your reply. Show courage and the enlisted men will fear you. Fear is better than respect.
Yes, the captain could make your life miserable, but he would have to be careful otherwise he could get accusations of retaliation, which opens up a whole bunch of rather uncomfortable possibilities.
Tech people are making moves, there is a new Omarchy linux foundation that has received an 8 million dollar donation from various tech ceos including Jack Dorsey, Dell, Stripe.
If only omarchy wasn’t a giant pile of crap engineering wise.
The great advantage of Arch is that it is totally configurable. The great disadvantage of Arch is that it is totally configurable.
Omarchy is one man’s opinion of the ideal linux configuration.
I have rather more opinions than he does.
There are Linux distros where everything is totally configurable, but easier to configure and with less footguns.
Omarchy is a brittle pile of bash scripts and global mutable state. It’s not even about arch, the whole thing could be a nix flake and work on multiple distros and be so much more reliable and legible.
I know you are suspicious of the politics around nix which is very reasonable but the tech is just so much better.
The whole project is kind of ridiculous when you look at it, basically DHHs buggy arch rice dotfiles repo with millions of dollars in backing. Like you said, one man’s opinion of the ideal Linux configuration. Regardless I’m glad that DHH is popularizing Linux rices and is explicitly anti woke.
FreeBSD is just refined goodness for like 30 years now still smooth sailing, no systemd or other bloat filling up your process table, plus native ZFS, crypto, linux compat, virtual, 37,000+ app packages, etc.
FreeBSD fails to recognize my hardware. Nor does it run many apps. Does not run steam.
> FreeBSD fails to recognize my hardware.
Your hardware choices are not the same as everyone else’s hardware choices, thus moot comment. Choose and enjoy your own hardware.
> Nor does it run many apps.
Bogus. It runs every port and package it provides natively, plus everything you can port/compile on it, everything it has binary compatibility for, and everything you can run in a VM on it, which is damn near enough to everything in the x86 world on a numerical basis as to be indistinguishable from everything. Plus Android/ARM/RISC/Nintendo and just about any other popular hardware emulator.
It has 38,120 native downloadable binary packages, and many more ports, including via other Unix port systems such as Nixos and so on.
https://archlinux.org/packages/
15965 packages, oops.
What “apps”, which you actually use, for which you have no reasonable alternative for, can you not run on FreeBSD?
> Does not run steam.
Your choices in gaming are not the same as everyone else’s choices in gaming, thus moot comment. Choose and enjoy your own gaming.
No one wants to run Steam in a vm.
Steam is itself a compatibility layer for the windows gaming environment, and when you run a compatibility layer on top of a compatibility layer …
And the reason that FreeBSD is way more popular as a server than as a desktop, is that it just will not run most people’s hardware correctly.
Tyko if you like FreeBSD that’s fine but it’s a fact that Linux has much better software compatibility.
> No one wants to run Steam in a vm.
Nowhere can be found where I said to ‘run Steam in a vm’, because I didn’t say that. What I did say was choose your own.
> Steam is itself a compatibility layer for the windows gaming environment
It appears that FreeBSD may have packages for Wine-Proton, Vulkan, and other related things that may help, don’t know, because I don’t care about what Steam has on offer.
My choice is the FreeBSD’s games section, which you can find in the ports search below…
> FreeBSD will not run most people’s hardware correctly.
Bogus sweeping majority statement without evidence.
If defining ‘most peoples hardware’ as open x86 PC/Laptop platforms, then FreeBSD ‘runs’ ‘correctly’ on all of them, ie: the pairing doesn’t just go off running random instructions with random results, that’s a stupid assertion.
Blame your vendor for choosing shitty closed proprietary chipware, and blame yourself for choosing and supporting that closed shit, not FreeBSD which runs fine on commodity open hardware.
Users can even contribute to porting to even more non-“most” hardware.

But since you refuse to name the open ‘hardware’ and/or open software ‘apps’ you claim don’t run, then either

This is the second time you’ve posted your sneering contempt for Steam and users of Steam. You may sneer all you want, but Steam is the dominant PC gaming platform with daylight second, and that is not going to change any time soon. If your OS can’t run Steam, it may as well not exist for 95% of the tech-literate population.
It’s like admitting that some OS can’t run any Chromium-based browser “but who cares because Chromium sucks lol amirite?” The natural takeaway from that sort of talk is “OK, so not only is the OS itself lame but its users are snarky dweebs, why would I want to be a part of that club?”
They’re not going to do that, mostly because they can’t, but even if they could (and I’m in the “could” group), they still won’t, because it’s not the 1990s anymore and they don’t have to. There are plenty of options available now that work out of the box.
Nobody’s reading all that. Nobody wants to listen to the classic 1990s nerd snark, “stupid luser, RTFM and if you don’t like it then send a patch”. What incentives to do so exist for someone who is not already emotionally (or financially) invested in the platform? You’re presupposing a level of prior engagement that doesn’t exist, and has no reason to exist.
BSD does have one fairly successful niche and that is in appliances–Cisco, NetApp, Sony and several other companies run BSD on their commercial hardware, and others like TrueNAS maintain commercially-supported dual-licensed software projects. This makes sense because BSD is largely unburdened by the restrictive copyleft licenses found at every level of a Linux distro.
If you want to start a business based on something vaguely Linux-like, BSD is a very good choice to avoid shooting yourself in the foot later, legally and financially speaking. But a marketable desktop OS, it is not.
> sneering contempt for Steam and users of Steam
Nowhere can be found where I expressed either of those two concepts, because I didn’t express them. What I did say was that *I* don’t care about what Steam has on offer.
If Steam is *your* thing, go for it.
Just quit trying to claim that Steam, and proprietary closed chips, are, and must be, the exclusive top priority with which ‘95%’ of other people, who are not you, must evaluate their own HW/OS choices… they’re not.
> If your OS can’t run Steam, it may as well not exist for 95% of the tech-literate population.
Presupposes without evidence that ‘95% of the tech-literate population’ requires Steam, which is obviously false.
> If your OS can’t run Steam
FreeBSD might actually have ports for the bits now, it’s amd64/x64 platform so there’s no HW/SW reason it can’t, I’ve no interest in Steam so I can’t say if it does or not.
> Chromium
Yes, Google Chrome sucks, same as Google Play Store, same as Flock.
No, stripped Chromium ports do run on all BSD platforms.
> links
Are for people who like to read/learn/use/try as they wish, if you don’t wish to, that’s your choice, just move on.
> mostly because they can’t
So now you’re sneering at the tech-illiterates. Quaint.
> they don’t have to … out of the box … incentives
In opensource, you get what you contribute to, millions made the boxes, they had to, will always have to.
My nyms have code in Linux and the BSD’s, and in many softwares, under incentives ranging from
– fuck I need this to work
– this is cool, you can just do things, for fun/free even
– crypto bounty claimed
– paycheck
> BSD does have one fairly successful niche
Looks like Linux sucks then, right, because it won’t run the Programme that Corps needs it to run, nobody should ever consider or run Linux then, right.
Shall we talk about the Leftism/SocCom/Purple-Hair/Women/Gay/Woke/DEI/anti-Faith cults infesting Linux?
The Govt Violence the GPL happily worships?
The cultists demanding that it be used against actual software freedom, and against users Freedom and Liberty?
> a marketable desktop OS
> legally speaking
Funny this word ‘marketable’… when in part it’s the SCO’s and GPL’s and IBM’s that have been suing using the Govt Violence to keep Liberty unmarketable for many decades.
> financially speaking
Nevermind that all ‘marketing’ is based in [money’d] PsyOp to Influence you beyond what you might otherwise normally choose.
Liberty has no end of such Op’s against it.
> BSD is largely unburdened by the restrictive copyleft licenses found at every level of a Linux distro
Correct, fact of copyleft, and good riddance.
Now that the cults of Communism and CorprietaryIP have been ripped/settled out of the BSD’s kernel+base and replaced with Liberty, we get to see how some AnCap OS’s can grow and do over the next decades.
The BSD’s/FreeBSD, are/is going to be doing quite well 😉
Free BSD kind of sort of supports Steam. Through its linux compatibility layer. Much as it kind of sort of supports so many things.
But its compatibility layer never quite works, and the fact that it has a compatibility layer should tell you it just does not work with a whole lot of hardware and software. It is forever trying to catch up with Linux, and never quite does.
The great flaw of FreeBSD is its permissive MIT license — which does not require the many private companies that use it to give back to the community. So they don’t. Linux has a copyleft license.
Thus Valve was forced to give Steam to the world, because they were writing it for an Arch derived operating system. Steam is proprietary, but it uses Proton. Proton is permissive, but it uses Wine and Valve’s fork of wine was infected by the Wine copyleft license, and it uses vkd3d-proton, which was also infected by the Wine copyleft license, and without the valve fork of wine, and without vkd3d-proton, no steam games can run, and thus no valve games can run.
If Valve could have written Steam on FreeBSD, they would have, and would have taken the whole thing proprietary from top to bottom. That steam and proton is what is, is thanks to Copyleft, and that FreeBSD is not a useful operating system is due to the permissive license. Anything that is any good that can run on FreeBSD winds up proprietary. So FreeBSD winds up not very useful unless you are a big company licensing something from another big company.
We are finally starting to see mass adoption of linux on the desktop. The big obstacle was always video games. Valve and Steam have removed that obstacle. More precisely, Wine and vkd3d-proton have removed that obstacle, and Valve and Steam take advantage of that. When your video game displays the action on the screen, it is almost always writing to the screen through vkd3d-proton, which is copyleft. It is perfectly possible, and often done, to play video games on linux without using Steam, just using wine and proton.
I hate to be the ack-shully guy, but BSD isn’t MIT-licensed, it’s BSD-licensed. It’s a well-known license that was once infamous for its clunky advertising clause that forced advertisements to cram in 20+ attributions in microscopically small print, though thankfully the revised versions don’t have that and the old version is rarely used anymore.
I’m finding it hard to follow your logic here. There’s no reason for Valve not to want wider platform adoption, because Valve isn’t really in the hardware business, they’re in the business of selling games. Copyleft is definitely relevant to the situation but in a much different way, to wit: copyleft takes the improvements to OSS made by companies like Valve (and Google, and Microsoft, etc.) and gives them back to those projects. Thus did Wine finally become a half-decent emulator after decades of suck, because Steam needed to use Wine, but also drastically improve it, and Valve couldn’t keep its own improvements locked up under proprietary firewall.
So the copyleft restrictions ultimately made those improvements available to all Wine users, and all Linux users, but users of Steam would have benefited regardless, it was the non-Steam gamers who caught the rising tide. It didn’t make Valve give Steam to the world, it made them give away their improvements to some other loosely-related tech, which incidentally benefited the larger domain of Linux gaming, which is not a trivial distinction.
I’m a lot more ambivalent on the whole thing. The copyleft-or-go-home mindset is Stallman communism. It is true that copyleft has made many important artifacts public that some companies with monopolistic tendencies would otherwise have tried to hoard for themselves. It is also true that some companies make staggeringly huge contributions to open source every year (Docker, Kubernetes, Node, Git, VSCode and React, just to name a few projects that most people have heard of) and the vast majority of those are permissively licensed, usually Apache 2.0 because of its explicit patent grant and trademark non-grant, but sometimes BSD or MIT licenses. A lot of these projects just wouldn’t exist, or wouldn’t be anywhere near as developed as they are, if they were all GPLed. Most companies won’t touch any GPL variant; I think only Google and Intel are sufficiently lawyered up to even think about contributing to something like the Linux kernel.
In practice it seems like some projects benefit greatly from permissive licensing, especially those more oriented toward programmers, IT pros and businesses, because a lot of businesses can afford to contribute to public works and don’t mind doing so as long as they won’t get legally screwed for it; while other projects, especially those highly consumer-oriented, are clearly better off using the most restrictive copyleft licenses available because scammers, patent trolls and other parasites are always salivating over the prospect of monetizing what’s free, especially when it’s got tens of millions of free-riders.
It’s not either/or, it’s very situational depending on whom the creators/maintainers want or expect to contribute, who the target audience is, and the risk tolerance of everyone under that umbrella. I don’t think Linux is better than FreeBSD because of BSD’s permissive license; Linux is better because of Linus, and to a lesser extent some of the folks who followed Linus.
True, but …
One of the important things making Linux better than FreeBSD is the ability to play video games. It is kind of obvious that Valve had a big team of lawyers and asked them “How much can we make Steam proprietary, and how little can we make it open source?, and most of all, how little can we make it copyleft?”, and the lawyers told them. “You can make this proprietary, and that permissive open source, but the crown jewels are going to have to be copyleft. So you are going to have give your competition a hand.” And they have a team of lawyers, a team of engineers and a team of engineer/lawyers, keeping them on the straight and narrow, while steering as close to the edge of the straight and narrow as they can and looking for any loophole they can find.
Valve would have vastly preferred to create a closed, full proprietary system based on free BSD, and lock all the video games away from ordinary free BSD and Linux users, thus capturing a revenue stream from anyone who wanted a unix like operating system that could do all the unix stuff, plus play video games.
But free BSD did not have the permissively licensed software that would have made that doable. The infectious copyleft license gave Linux stuff that free BSD does not have, stuff that Valve needed to create Steam.
So you are absolutely right that for some situations a permissive open source license is better than copyleft open source license, and insisting on copyleft is communist. But a big part of what makes Linux better than free BSD is software that only exists thanks to copyleft.
There is an enormous amount of stuff that only capitalism can do. Without capitalism, we would be starving hunter gatherers living in mud huts and lean-tos, But there is some stuff that capitalism just cannot do, or does very poorly.
Heh, Stallman communism.
Certainly Stallman isn’t a perfect individual and also there is not ‘one-license-fits-all’. But on a long enough timescale seems obvious to me that the philosophy of ‘I show you my code, you show me yours’ is very important if not essential for any piece of software to survive. Who even knows the inner workings of Windows these days? But for Linux, anyone can figure it out.
I thought the later fight between Stallman and Linus over GPL-2 versus GPL-3 was rather interesting. As I understood it, GPL-3 extended the software copyleft to the hardware it was installed on, eg you cannot lock down the hardware of a device with GPL-3 software installed. Linus thought that went too far and stuck with GPL-2. Which is probably the more practical approach? Yet I can’t help but sympathize with the GPL-3 license.
The capitalist mode of production does not work too well when it comes to producing knowledge, because information wants to be free.
However, there is in practice a useful compromise. Observe that information is not always easily shared. All steel is made by someone who worked under someone who … worked under someone who worked under Bessemer, and all transistors are made by someone who worked under someone who … worked under someone who worked under Shockley.
Which gave room enough for Shockley and Bessemer to make some money.
Shockley wrote the book on transistors, and went into business for himself largely because the book did not suffice, and Bessemer tried to license his process, but the process licensing did not suffice. It proved difficult to transmit the the knowledge except through a master and apprentice type relationship.
This is how sqlite is funded.
Socialism creates ignorance and destroys knowledge and technology to the extent that it is hostile to inequality. Thus Mao’s great leap forward involved destroying anyone who knew how to produce steel and all equipment for producing it, and then commanding peasants to produce steel. But if, like Stalin, the socialist is cheerfully comfortable with imposing brutal inequality, socialism does OK at producing knowledge, even if it fails disastrously at consumer goods, being utterly impervious to feedback from the consumer. You get breadlines under egalitarian socialism, under inegalitarian socialism you get lines for everything else, but you still get some cool tech.
Copyleft anticapitalism did fine so long as it was cheerfully elitist, racist, and sexist, but being leftist, it was defenseless against the grievance mongers who ate it and ate Richard Stallman and Eric Raymond.
Turns out you cannot have genuine open source unless you can cheerfully call a nigger a nigger. Because if you cannot call a nigger a nigger:
The experience of the Open Source and Free Software movement demonstrates that if victimhood is high status, code and code quality must be low status. If victimhood is high status then “you did not build that”. Rather, if victimhood is high status, then good code, silicon fabs, and rockets spontaneously emerged from the fertile soil of sub-Saharan Africa, and was stolen by white male rapists from the brave and stunning black warrior women of sub-Saharan Africa, and social justice demands that the courageous advocate for the brave and stunning black warrior women of sub-Saharan Africa takes what you have, what you gladly would share, away from you.
The “you did not build that” narrative, charitably interpreted, rests on the idea that you depend on publicly funded goods, such as the internet protocol, the roads, and all that. Which of course you do. But observe what happens when a bunch of subhumans inherit the roads and all that, as in South Africa and in the Jewish retreat from Gaza. In South Africa we see people once again eating each other and building mud huts in the ruins of skyscrapers. Thus, in actual practice “you did not build that” is necessarily and unavoidably applied as “You are one of the white male rapists who stole that from the brave and stunning warrior women of subsaharan Africa, and I am social justice personified who will take that away from you and rebury it in the fertile African soil to spontaneously spout anew.”
No matter how reasonable and plausible the rationale for “You did not build that” is in theory, the unpleasant realities that it implicitly denies inevitably results in its actual application manifesting as outrageous and grotesque evil.
“You did not build that” denies the extreme inequality of excellence and creation. Pretty much everything is created by white males, so it ends up destroying everything.
I’ll have to ask you to explain, because it’s not so obvious to me. I don’t mean explain how the situation might have come to be, in some boardroom; I mean explain why you believe that is the situation in the first place. To what extent are the crown jewels copyleft? What, exactly, are you pointing to as the crown jewels?
Steam is still mostly closed source. The store is closed source, all of the APIs are closed source, and all of the client code is closed source. CEF is open source, but CEF is (a) not really Valve’s and (b) trash. DXVK is open source, but (a) also not really Valve’s and (b) permissively licensed, and Valve may well have not been able to use DXVK if it wasn’t permissive, though we can only speculate.
It seems we are basically talking about Proton and Valve’s fork of Wine, which are both great things, but I would hardly call them the crown jewels. And Valve first released Proton several years before the Steam Deck, which, unless they were planning more than five years ahead, strongly implies that they just wanted users to be able to run games on Linux, because they make money from selling games, not from selling hardware or distributing their client. To sell games, users need to be able to play them. It’s a major selling point for Valve that games bought on Steam can be played almost anywhere (with a lot of exceptions in that “almost”, but still impressive).
There are certainly companies out there that want to lock you into proprietary hardware, such as Apple, both their mobile and desktop segments. There are also companies that want to lock you into proprietary platforms and product ecosystems, most notably Microsoft. Valve has a lock-in model, but it is not either of those two lock-in models; their model is that the games you buy from the Steam store generally can’t be played without Steam, even if they’ve had all DRM removed, because they depend on various proprietary Steam APIs. So whenever you want to play, you’ll have to open the Steam client, and from there they can advertise and sell other content to you. This model directly benefits from having Steam available on more OSes, even if they also happen to sell Steam Decks running a proprietary OS.
I think you are looking, very reasonably, at the parasitism rampant in the larger industry and assuming, less reasonably, that it applies in identical fashion to Valve. There’s more than one type of rent-seeking, and Valve’s is different Apple’s and Microsoft’s. If we look specifically at Valve’s model, I don’t see a lot to indicate that copyleft had much of an effect at all, positive or negative. At worst, without copyleft, they might have bundled Proton in the Steam closed-source binary and declined to release its source, which would have left Linux users worse off for gaming in general, but mostly the same for Steam in particular.
The main benefit of Wine’s copyleft was making it possible for Valve’s compatibility updates to Wine to be upstreamed, a lot of which benefit is hypothetical because the updates still haven’t been upstreamed and likely never will be.
I believe Valve wanted everything proprietary, because they made everything that they could proprietary.
The Crown Jewels are wine and vkd3d-proton because that is the environment that almost every video game playing under steam sees. That is what the games interact with.
But you can, and people routinely do, run most games without any of that. The games do not interact with any of that. No one needs Valve’s closed apis to launch and play a video game. Valve’s closed source is not where the value is. The value is in their improvements to wine and vkd3d-proton, which are infected by copyleft. Launch, play, and save state, the game is never interacting with anything closed. It is interacting with copyleft code, that Valve had to give back to the world.
Valve built for Linux, for all of Linux, and for Arch in particular, because they needed copy left code.
It is difficult not to get that impression if you read anything he has written. For instance, this is the very first entry in his “glossary”:
Straight from the horse’s mouth. It would take some serious spin to represent that as anything other than pure, unfettered communism.
The best way for anything to survive and thrive is to be maintained by a competent institution, whether that institution is public or private, and whether the software is open or closed. (Did you know that the NSA has released several open-source projects? It’s true!)
But obviously there are more actual pieces of software out there than competent institutions capable of maintaining them, and several orders of magnitude more theoretically-implementable software designs than competent institutions able and willing to implement them. So for the rest, there’s open source, which is the best model we have for forming volunteer communities. Copyleft is somewhat more likely to have an active community of ICs, permissive is somewhat more likely to receive institutional support, both can work depending on the project in question.
Join the left, get devoured. Stallman reveals the hole in Contaminated Neet’s program.
>the hole in Contaminated Neet’s program.
My program is we will drown and nobody shall save us. The “join the Left and become Napoleon” plan is shit, but it’s still the best chance we have, meager though it is. Watch how the next few years go in the USA. We haven’t even seen the zenith of Gay Race Communism yet.
Possibly not, but if not, we shall very soon see it. Over the past few millennia, we have been around this merry go round many times. Leftism always self destructs. The only issue in doubt is whether we die with it. Your plan guarantees we die with the left.
The nature of leftism is to get ever lefter, ever faster. Or die. If we are lucky, Thermidor stalls it, and it quietly evaporates. When AOC dismisses woke 1.0, that is a retreat, combined with an attempted advance on another front. If that attempted advance also ends in retreat, each renewed assault on yet another new front will be weaker than the one before.
If on the other hand, it succeeds in getting ever lefter ever faster, then in the end, we kill all of them, or they kill all of us, then kill each other.
“We haven’t even seen the zenith of Gay Race Communism yet.”
Even if your pessism about everything is generally correct (and it might well be) I don’t think this is true. Gay race communism has a crisis of faith.
Leftism has to get ever lefter, ever faster, or die, because its basic dynamic is “that applecart is looking shaky, let us knock it over and there will be lots of shiny apples rolling around”
A stable level of leftism implies no more shiny apples
Stallman and Raymond discovered that, as white males, they were on the menu;
I was unaware that Stallman got in that deep, though not unsurprised. Charitably you could say he’s the last of a generation in which being far left was cool.
OK, but on a long enough timescale what often happens is that institutions decay and whither, and it becomes easier to start a new one than save the old one. Which is much easier to do when the original source material is publicly available.
Maybe this is stretching the metaphor, but consider the Jews and the old testament. Had the old testament been ‘proprietary’, could not have been spread to gentiles. Later with the reformation, same thing.
Out and proud, man. From the very beginning.
Ironically, during the Biden depression, before the tech bros started fighting back and incited the Thermidorean reaction, the very serious Marxists in the open source community were among the last major holdouts over wokeness. But they had to be totally sincere, totally committed Marxists; even the slightest deviation and they’d get assimilated. I suppose in their minds they were already much farther left, much purer, thus able to dismiss woke as insincere and performative.
Stallman and ESR did not care about being cool, they truly believe all this stuff, which I think is a big part of why they didn’t go woke, compared to any randomly-picked college professor who spouts a lot more Marxism on a regular basis but doesn’t sincerely or literally believe most of it, is just saying it to maintain academy cred and believes xirself to be shielded from the consequences. Aside from those two, you could tell who the other true believers were because they started worker’s co-ops, often with hilarious results.
It’s why I don’t subscribe to the literal assertion Jim sometimes makes that leftists can never discover or produce anything of value. They do, all the time, just like a cancer patient may go on living a normal productive life for many years, though eventually the cancer will destroy them, and far sooner than their natural lifespan would have allowed. Another example is Cory Doctorow, a shitlib’s shitlib and most of what he writes is nonsense, but his “enshittification” schtick is not wrong, and he was the first to clearly identify the cycle, so I grudgingly give him credit.
Anyway, all other things being equal, of course it’s better when the source is available, and copyleft is often the most effective way to ensure that, but not always the most effective, and all other things are not necessarily equal. I’m not anti-copyleft, my only quibble is over the claim that it’s always the best choice and always makes things better, as opposed to being one step in a complicated series of tradeoffs.
Steam makes the results of their hardware survey public. The entirety of Linux is barely 4%.
Maybe you meant to say “almost every video game playing under Steam on Linux“, but let’s not mince words, it’s barely a blip on the radar for Valve’s revenue and it’s no small wonder that they bother with the segment at all. In fact, it really only makes logical sense in the context of a marketing strategy, as I said before, “if you buy on Steam you can play anywhere”.
Maybe not in theory, for some abstract definition of “value”, but that is where the market capture is. It’s quite difficult to disentangle Steam from a game once entangled.
It’s all just a Metcalfe advantage, as I’m sure Valve is painfully aware, and they try to preserve that advantage by not pissing on their customers too much. Steam Input, Inventory, Friends, Screenshots and the like are all part of a strategy, which includes Proton, to maintain their public image of “we can justify taking a cut of sales because unlike other distributors, we actively invest in our tech”. Which, I don’t know if that’s 100% true or accurate, but as a PR strategy it seems to work pretty well for now.
That may be the value to you, and I suppose to Linux gamers at large, but in the context of any sober analysis of Steam’s revenue structure and corporate incentives, it is bikeshedding. Even if the Linux segment grew tenfold, which is unlikely in the foreseeable future, it would still be a minority of the customers–and most likely, though this is only an educated guess, customers who spend less on average than their Windows counterparts.
It reminds me of something like Golang, probably not even done for commercial reasons and whatever revenue can actually be attributed to it is chump change. It got done because some engineer got obsessed with the idea and wouldn’t let it go, and one day a manager finally rolled his eyes and said “fine, whatever, we’ve got some cushion in the budget this year so do what you want”.
No. I meant to say “almost every video game playing on Linux”.
Because of infectious copyleft, Valve had to give back the capability to play video games outside of Steam. Which they definitely did not want to do.
Which it very likely will, because of what Valve had to give back to the community.
Gamers care a lot about every last drop of performance, particularly in competitive shootemups. And Linux inherently gives higher performance on the same hardware than windows. This effect is more marked in some games than others. Sooner or later, every one who is deep into such games is going to switch, and this will lead to other people eventually switching.
I have been playing video games on Linux for some time, using open source software to which Valve has made major contributions. Never got Steam. Maybe I will, when I get around to it. I don’t have any ideological objection to Steam, they well deserve my money. I just have not got around to giving it to them yet. Just too much effort and bother to go through all that stuff. For what I have been playing, Steam would just be some irrelevant fluff on top.
If I wanted the largest library of the latest games, then of course I would get Steam. But I am just not that much into video games, so that is so far too much trouble.
I set up a pc with omarchy as a gaming console for the kids. Setting it up was the fastest thing in the world. However once I made a small adjustment the system broke and it has refused to update ever since. So yes, ‘brittle pile of bash scripts’ seems a fair description.
Interesting what did you change?
For that use case, gaming console for kids, I’d recommend an immutable distro like steam os or bazzite.
I customized the quick-select options, using the supposedly configurable config files. Which worked, but somehow broke the package manager.
And yes switching to bazzite is my backup plan when I get to it.
Lol
It really is. I’ve seen screenshots of Omarchy gobbling up more than 2 gigs of RAM at idle. I thought the whole point of using a tiling window manager (in lieu of a full desktop environment) was to save on system resources. That sort of RAM usage at idle seems criminally absurd on a Linux desktop. I have a Devuan install in a VM right now that uses just under 300 megs of RAM at idle.
And if someone really wants a riced-out window manager as their desktop, it’s now very easy to use your current distro and do a one-command install of a window manager bundled with a user-friendly graphical shell. The end product is essentially the same thing Omarchy offers, minus the bloat, AI, and Big Tech integrations.
Still though DHH is kind of based. Awhile back he blogged that he thought London was much better back when it was still an English city and this sent every leftist of the open source world into a screeching rage and now every time DHH’s name comes up in a leftist-dominated internet space, the chorus of shrieks immediately ensues.
The good thing is that all this money isn’t so much about Omarchy but probably about cleaning up the woke leftist contagion that has infected the world of open source software development. Since about 2017-2018 there has been a hostile takeover of major FOSS projects by crazed leftists and a predictable purge of white males who are insufficiently leftist. Unfortunately, most of the easy and reliable desktop distros are run by the enemy. There’s a handful I can think of off the top of my head that are openly rightwing, or at least openly anti-woke:
-Omarchy/DHH, as mentioned a lot here
-OpenMandriva (a surviving descendant of Mandrake, which many of us used way back in the day)
-Devuan (i.e. Debian fork with systemd surgically removed)
-Artix (i.e. Arch fork with systemd surgically removed)
-GhostBSD (FreeBSD with a GUI preinstalled and overall easier to use)
-XLibre, (a much-needed fork of the now-deprecated X11 display server. IBM/Red Hat absolutely despises the existence of XLibre, hence their minions screaming nazi and fascist at its lead dev every time the name XLibre gets mention on most Linux forums and subreddits. The newer Wayland display server has been a pet project of Red Hat for some time now and they’ve been trying to ram it down everyone’s throats despite the fact its not ready yet.)
More info here:
https://lunduke.substack.com/p/lundukes-non-woke-software-list-for
I’d love to see DHH and his techlord buddies pump some serious cash into these projects, so they can attract the best open source dev talent and soon become better distros and projects than the ones the woke-infected ones they forked off of. OpenMandriva with proper funding and enough community contributions could make for a great Fedora (Red Hat) replacement. Stable rolling release distros are great when done properly.
this is unlisted video by former NASA engineer, about DEI work environment in Nasa in 2025, it one year old
but it eye opening
basically the subcontractors system was built for actual white males engineers to build the machines without any benefits and protection, while employment at nasa and contractors like Lockheed and Co was reserved for diversities, especially women
it is quite a system, but even now the system is completely dysfunction.
it may have worked 40 or 50 years ago but now it doesn’t.
here
If DEI is in effect, power winds up in the hands of those who cannot perform high tech functions.
Whereupon anyone who irritatingly attempts to persist in performing high tech functions becomes an intolerable threat to them.
The key part of his story was that the requirements, the stresses the things he was planning to build would have to carry, changed. But because he had constructed a finite element analysis, he just had to enter the changed force, and the computer would spit out the necessary slight modifications to his design.
And this totally pissed off everyone, because everyone around him wanted to use this change for empire building and subcontracting.
I had a similar issue at a big company. I was supposed to maintain a gigantic list of files for master build for the entire project, but all the subprojects were necessarily maintaining their own lists, and I just had the master build suck up all the lists from all the subprojects. I automated my job, which meant I was doing nothing much except when something went wrong with the master build, which meant the entire chain of command over me and committees around me were not doing much, and they did not like it. It seems that there was a mighty mountain of bureaucracy to do what I had delegated to rather short collection of scripts, and they were most unhappy at having a mountain of busywork disappear from under them.
This is what happened to countless open source / Linux dev projects over the past 10 years or so, particularly those downstream of IBM/Red-Hat money (this eventually hit independent projects like Debian). Countless cases of old guard white males who originally developed the code being bumped out in favor of troons, females, and (non-Asian) nonwhites who are terrible at coding. This ended up infecting nearly the entire FOSS ecosystem, with a very stubborn holdouts resisting woke leftist convergence.
As some comments alluded to above, the tide is finally starting to turn. That very recent $8 million to DHH’s foundation is essentially several powerful techbros funding a rightwing counterattack to take back said ecosystem. Let’s hope this can be used to fund non-woke open source projects that are more serious and impactful than Omarchy.
The same applies in art endeavors. Any artist who can tell the difference between good art and bad art and cares about that difference becomes an intolerable threat, and gets purged, no matter how politically correct he is. Hence the games turn to crap with bad coding resulting in pathing fails and poor graphics performance, and also poor art producing unattractive unengaging worlds.
But the crap coding is more obvious to me. Art is more subjective, so the the hateful ugly morons can claim that if you do not appreciate the greatness of their inclusive art which celebrates the Mary Sue version of themselves, you are a chud whose racism sexism and homophobia is impairing your ability to appreciate the greatness of Mary Sue.
Whereas is was an empirical objective fact that the politically correct were incapable of maintaining the linux X windowing system, resulting in tearing and all that.
The only games made post-2014 I can stand playing are those developed by studios outside the Anglosphere. Funny enough, there’s been a rise in Polish game studios. They generally produce games that actually feel and play like real games.
With American-made games made since that time it seems like every NPC and piece of dialogue has to go through the HR department before being included in the game. The big AAA studios these days have a habit hire disgusting, sub-5 women as creative leads; the kind of women who hate video games, because men play video games.
Much of the contractor bullshit was due to EO 11246 which required federal contractors to develop and implement affirmative action plans. Trump’s EO 14173 put rescinded by that. There was some other EO that required hiring some percentage of diversity owned contractor businesses, that another of Trump’s EO put an end to as well. This was around late 2025. Been seeing the effects a lot.

Why America is basically a dysfunctional communist country in many ways…
Trump’s executive orders have stopped and reversed that nonsense.
Are you kidding? Mr. Trump has made his executive order; now let him enforce it!
According to Grok, it is being enforced.
Grok reports:
the orders are being substantially obeyed in the federal government and among federal contractors/grantees, with significant (but uneven) effects in the broader private sector. They do not make all DEI “effectively illegal” in the same way prior policies sometimes made preferential practices effectively compulsory via contracting rules, cultural pressure, or agency guidance. Instead, they direct aggressive enforcement of existing civil rights laws (primarily Title VII) against race- or sex-based preferences and disparate treatment—whether labeled DEI or not—while ending federal mandates for affirmative action-style programs.Federal Agencies and Contractors
…
Enforcement has included DOJ FCA actions (e.g., a ~$17 million IBM settlement in 2026 over alleged demographic goals, diverse interview slates, and limited-access programs) and EEOC investigations/subpoenas into companies’ practices.
Federal-side compliance is high because the government controls contracts, grants, and agency operations.Private Sector Response Effects are real but mixed and often driven by risk avoidance rather than a blanket ban:Rollbacks: Many large firms (examples include Target, Walmart, Accenture, Google/Meta elements, McDonald’s, Goldman Sachs, and others) ended or narrowed demographic goals, certain employee resource groups, supplier-diversity preferences, and related metrics, sometimes explicitly citing the orders or evolving legal landscape.
…
Rebranding and reduced visibility: Very common. Firms have scrubbed “DEI” language from websites, 10-K filings (references to “DEI” or similar dropped sharply, from ~90% of S&P 500 in 2024 to ~8% by early 2026), and internal materials, shifting to terms like “inclusion,” “belonging,” “talent strategy,” “opportunity,” or “culture.” Some renamed chief diversity officer roles or departments. Nonprofits have also edited IRS filings and mission statements.
…
EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas has publicly stated that renaming does not protect illegal practices: labels like “belonging” or “EO” are irrelevant if the program involves employment actions motivated by race or sex. The agency has indicated it reviews archived web content and prioritizes cases involving quotas/proxies, limited-access programs, and similar.
I don’t buy that for one second. They’ve done a handful of symbolic actions to keep the chumbalones on both sides engaged with the game, but you can’t enforce a policy when the personnel who enforce it are uniformly against it. My agency hasn’t taken a single step back on any of this, and the companies and agencies that have, deliver only words: “rebranding and reduced visibility: very common.” Harvard is openly defying the Supreme Court on affirmative action, and they aren’t facing any consequences at all. Trump scared some large organizations into quieting down about their anti-White, anti-straight, anti-male discrimination for a year while they wait him out, while still practicing it the whole time. It’s clearer than ever that the whole right-wing vibeshift is going to blow over in a year.
You can’t solve the problem without a massive replacement of entire bureaucracy and judiciary, and our side has neither the strength nor the balls for that.
Listen to what our enemies are now saying. “Oh, all that stuff was Woke 1.0, which is now so passe.”
What AOC says “oh that stuff was woke 1.0” she means it is a really bad idea for the left to pick a fight with Trump and Maga over DEI.
What our enemies are now saying is that all that stuff, the victimhood olympics, was woke 1.0, and they are moving on beyond it now. Now its socialism, rejection of western civilization, and opposition to AI.
Obviously they are still anti white, but they are throwing women, gays, niggers, coronatarianism, and trannies overboard as dead weight. They are beating a retreat on that front, and launching new offensives on different fronts.
Leftism always gets ever lefter, but when they run into a headwind, which direction constitutes leftism gets redefined. And it is now being redefined in a way that capitulates to Trump’s executive orders.
It is now third worldism, open borders, anti technology, and anti industrial civilization. Which is similar in spirit to the stuff that Trump banned, but it is not the stuff that Trump banned.
Trump’s executive orders banned what the left is now calling “woke 1.0” as they flee their embarrassing past. And woke 3.0 is starting to look remarkably like Nick Fuentes, Hunter Biden, and the Groypers.
Words, words, words.
>What AOC says
>What our enemies are now saying
Yes, it’s great that some of them are verbally retreating, but what are they actually doing? Who’s getting paid? Who’s getting punished? Who’s enforcing whose rules on whom? The DEI regime took a blow, but it’s still completely dominant. Say, “Trans women are women,” in the workplace under your own name, and you might get a few surreptitious eyerolls, but it won’t hurt your career, and it will probably help it. Say, “It’s OK to be white,” and the HR inquisitors will break you on the wheel.
Actually retreating, as when IBM pays millions of dollars in damages for discriminating against straight white males.
And when did you last see a Gillette/Bud Light ad campaign against their customers. Is that not a retreat?
CI games publicly committed to not embedding woke messaging in its games. Is this not a retreat.
Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar/GTA parent) stopped talking about diversity, and instead “diversity of thought.” Is this not a retreat?
Helldivers 2 leadership stressed making good games over “contemporary political statements” Is this not a retreat?
Sweet Baby Inc is not getting paid.
Leftism of the “Western civilization is bad and should be destroyed because -” type changes tactics, and rationalizations, but never the goal. Their ability to swap out the reasons at will shows their insincerity.
Do they still have the images of the Great and Awesome Climate Change Demon on display in their temple, or have those been moved to a storage room for now?
@jim
Indeed people’s skepticism is quite justified. Given how often we are subject to bait and switch by the powers that be.
Plus the left is quite a shapeshifter and very apt to rebrand and change its appearance whilst continuing as they are. But unless the essence is dealt with. They have simply gone into hiding or dormancy. Not destroyed.
For example feminism originated with witches in the 19th century and Theosophists like Blavatsky. And continued until female suffrage got passed despite the wishes of the majority. But went dormant before reemerging after wwii. Destroyed they weren’t.
The left just shapeshifted and tried something different. And something different worked.
But every time there is a failure, every time they have to shapeshift, they lose energy, momentum, and power.
One defeat is not guaranteed to end them. But it still a defeat, And if they can be defeated once, they can be defeated twice.
You can’t end entropy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t fight it.
Have to think of it like weeding one’s lawn and/or garden. You sink lots of money and time every year into pre-m, post-m, spot spraying, hand pulling and so on, knowing that you have no hope of ever completely eliminating the problem, because all this work is necessary just to keep it at the level of “minor irritant” and not end up with an entire yard full of poison ivy, ragweed and bull thistle.
Leftism is a failure mode of civilization, lack of proper maintenance, corruption and decay of the human spirit, and part of the divine compromise on free will. We will be forever beating it back for as long as our species continues to exist, not because we think we can win permanently, but because the alternative is mass murder and starvation.
>Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar/GTA parent) stopped talking about diversity, and instead “diversity of thought.” Is this not a retreat?
Very unfortunate for them and many others, significant resources were poured into woke prior to the retreat, and now they have defective product that can’t simply be fixed under the pressure of needing to recoup investments. No doubt Neet will claim this evidence of there being no retreat.
Electronic Arts has fired a whole lot people, and is going to fire a whole lot more, and those protesting this firing look absurdly leftist, nose rings, trannies, tattoos, faggots, funny hair colors.
Electronic Arts is infamously responsible for “Dragon Age: The Veilguard”
And it just got sold to the Jared Kushner and Saudis, who are likely to have different ideas about the political content of games.
Neet is saying they are not retreating, only pretending to retreat. The firings might be just performative, but pretty sure the sale is not performative.
Selling is a reflection of people who own capital thinking that they need right wingers creating culture, or it is not going to be profitable. Trump said “Everything woke turns to shit.” And reality is that rich people are sick of their money turning to shit.
Current management will sail along and run the company into the ground for the sake of superior holiness, but the price of a company is set by people who do not want it run into the ground.
>Electronic Arts has fired a whole lot people, and is going to fire a whole lot more, and those protesting this firing look absurdly leftist, nose rings, trannies, tattoos, faggots, funny hair colors.
Yes EA cleaned house, Microsoft also cleaned house, so have many. The problem I’m pointing out is that large triple A games take years, even over a decade now to produce. These companies have fired a whole lot of people, but that doesn’t undo the damage already built into these games. It’s baked into the writing, the art design, even the code as seen by how shitty and bug ridden they’ve become in the west. Studios can’t sit on the product for another decade trying to unfuck everything. GTA for example had a female writer do the story line for the main male lead and gameplay makes it obvious this isn’t a man let alone a harden criminal.
These companies are going to just have to bite the bullet and release with a whole lot of woke still in their games, and it’ll be years before the dev cycle can produce new triple A games without woke. Neet doesn’t get this, so he’ll be saying there has been no retreat for years to come, but that isn’t new.
Similarly, Paramount Global and Warner Brothers is coming under new ownership and management — Paramount Skydance run by Harry Ellison:
And Harry Ellison seems to be planning to unwoke all this stuff. He is pissing all over DEI. He has not said any culture war stuff, but he is dog whistling it “High testosterone material”.
USA State Lottery Tickets are one State-level-USAID, that, after various political grifts and skims, fund Leftist k-12 indoctrination camps known as public schools and their needless public-employee-unions full of trans-commies that claim to be teachers.

@jim
Do you think the Von Neumann architecture need to be updated or changed ?
AI is not really running on Von Neumann, but no one has clearly conceptualized an alternative.
Pure white liberalism is far more dangerous, sincere and harmful to humanity than the evil Jewish mind rays that the “Nazi” faction of the so-called right frequently talk about.
Stallman is evil, though presently ineffective because his 80s leftism has been effectively consumed into radical globohomo and he is now representative of the “privileged white male oppressor”.
Evil Jewish mind rays is a form of self-interested and rational evil, making a few unprincipled exceptions for Israeli nationalism (also thoroughly blue-pilled anyway), while globohomo socialism is a demonic and self-destructive evil.
Note that every leftist other than a post-Christian white man (and the post-Hindu elite brown man) has a trace of rational self-interest which somewhat reduces the effect of the demonic evil unleashed by globohomo.
Evil Jewish mind rays may have existed and done harm in the past but it is far overshadowed by the evil of globohomo having long been subjugated under the globohomo religion of which the principal faction led by white liberals.
The one area where I sort of have sympathy with the credentialism of Anonymous Fake but being a leftist he hates on entrepeneurs and tradesmen and such for somehow doing well outside the system.
https://x.com/ThomBrady5/status/2094785820343361858
“The basic problem here is that Boomers told young Americans they needed credentials to get high-paid careers in a ruthless global economy, and then Boomers ignored the credentials to give the jobs to DEI women, gays, and foreigners.”
Yes white men (and Asian men to a lesser extent) who went through the credentialism system were rugpulled. The solution is the mass murder and confiscation of assets of leftists for those of /ourguys who were rugpulled not making credentialism great again.
As one of the replies points out:
The left told young white males they needed credentials — and then ignored both the credentials and basic competence and ability. Not the boomers.
Well, the boomers ate it up enthusiastically for their own personal gain, never once questioning what future they were creating. Their pathological commitment to feminism and multiculturalism is unmatched.
Most boomers I know even the red tribe ones fall under the category of “they hate us, want us dead, and think it’s funny”.
Too true. They chose sides with the television over their own offspring, and the vast majority of them stand by that choice even now. Bring back Peppermint and let him process every last boomer into dog food.
Bullshit. The obvious villains are Academia, the left (but I repeat myself) and the media (but I repeat myself).
You just want to deny the guilt of the obviously guilty.
I’m not arguing the root of the problem. I know the boomers didn’t start the fire. I never said they did.
Individuals have agency, and one does not have to be a slave to the culture. That power is not omnipotent.
You can successfully make the big picture argument that it all was inevitable. Nature takes the path of least resistance. But that doesn’t excuse the most damning criticism of all, that even today, they hold the same views they had 50 years ago, because despite what they saw in front of their faces for decades, they simply chose the bliss of ignorance, and refused to grow up.
They have blood on their hands, and not because they are victims. They are ideologically captured, because they have been paid to do so.
Why do we hate alcoholics and drug addicts so much? It is not that they are the only ones who live by lies and betrayal. It is that they are among the best at it, doing it to the extreme. And yes, they deserve all the hate they get. Same goes for the boomers.
Blaming the boomers implies that everything will come up roses once AOC and Mandami are in charge, and herd all white males into re-education camps in Alaska.
Fifty years ago, Boomers were way to the right of today’s young people, and today, support Trump and Maga substantially more than young people do.
The people voting to eradicate white males are single females, particularly those hitting the wall. And the proportion of single females is enormously higher in each generation.
Only now are people starting to realize that female emancipation is maladaptive — that it gets in the way of the most important things in life, for both men and women.
The movement left is partly the mass importation of Democrat voters to live on crime, welfare, and government makework jobs, and it is partly the collapse of marriage and family. The boomers are not the mass migration of stupid lazy criminals, nor are they single women hitting the wall.
Boomers as a group largely didn’t support Trump Gen X did.
Incorrect. Polling shows Boomers and Gen X vote for Trump and approve of Trump at the same rate within the margin of error. No significant age difference.
Jim, while the Boomers do not support those evil things, are they not perhaps as a group refusing to see those things for what they are?
In 2020 when it was rigged he still won boomers but in 2024 half of boomers voted for Harris despite old people supposedly being generally right wing in most case. Gen X delivered for Trump.
https://www.businessinsider.com/how-generations-voted-trump-harris-gen-z-gen-x-boomers-2024-11
Your link says:
Age: 2020: 2024:
18-29, Biden +24, Harris +11
30-44, Biden +6, Harris +1
45-64, Trump +1, Trump +10
65+. Trump +5, Tie +0
Which say the Zoomers, not the Boomers, are the bad guys — or bad girls — it is actually the never married women vote, the evil witch vote. GenZ, the zoomers has a lot more evil witches than the Boomers, and it is the evil witches, filled with hatred, spite, and envy, that are the villains, not the boomers, and not the male zoomers.
The witches want to destroy everything and everyone, they want to murder children, because they are Miss Average who fucks only Mister One in thirty, and Mister One in Thirty will never text Miss Average back the morning after the night before.
> The boomers are not the mass migration of stupid lazy criminals, nor are they single women hitting the wall.
Still today they overwhelmingly support mass migration of stupid and lazy criminals from central and South America. As well as support female emancipation and feminism.
Not what the polls show. The polls show Gen Z, the zoomers are the ones voting for the mass migration of lazy stupid violent nonwhite foreigners. Take a look at the Ice protests.
More precisely, female Zoomers. More precisely, single female zoomers, the witches, the women who were politely called in the twenties “charity women”, also less politely “whores”, “trash”, “filth”, etc.
Overwhelmingly, the vote for the mass importation of criminals to live on crime, welfare, and government employment, is single female all-men-are-evil Zoomer. The girl who wants all straight white males murdered because Mister One in Thirty never calls her back the morning after the night before.
But possibly more to your point, no, the boomers were not born inherently more or less leftist than anyone else. And they did not arrive somehow more capable of leftism than anyone else.
>Well, the boomers ate it up enthusiastically for their own personal gain, never once questioning what future they were creating. Their pathological commitment to feminism and multiculturalism is unmatched.
Have you seen what goes on in American colleges for the past couple decades? Every generation since 1776 eats up the party line for their own personal gain, never once questioning what future they were creating. The multi-generational commitment to the permanent revolution is unmatched. Boomers at least had the decency of being coy, not pathological, about their commitments, hence NIMBY, the more recent generations have absolutely gone pathological and feral.
Here’s a funny story, back when my father was still single and approaching a socially unacceptable bachelor age, his boomer esque mother (technically an earlier generation but she was very much the vanguard) summoned him to the family home, closed all the blinds, and asked stuttering and afraid: “are you g-g-g-gay!?” Publicly she was always a ‘nice progressive WASP’ who, while not necessarily applauding of homosexuality, was not against it.
These days the ‘nice progressives’ hook their kids up with hormone blockers and parade their virtue signaling for all to see. There is no NIMBY with them, they bring it directly into the home.
The Boomer hate isn’t exactly misplaced, but to do so without taking a hard look at ourselves as part of the process, and our failures, is just pride and envy speaking, and so when we look at those who spew the most vitriolic boomer hate these days, you’ll notice the more left you get the more possessed the hate.
Good point and agreed that generations after the boomers would’ve made (and indeed many are making) exactly the same mistakes.
But the gap in wealth accumulation between boomers and say gen Z plus the observed arrogance of many boomers is also a thing. I’ve seen too many a boomer sitting on 2 houses and a boat judging a detached gen Z’er for not pulling himself up by his bootstraps.
I am sitting on 2 houses on a boat, and I judge many detached Gen Z’ers, not for “not pulling themselves up by their bootstraps”, but for doing nothing other than complaining and looking for quick fixes. The catch is, I’m not a boomer, I’m in one of the generations that complains about boomers.
Socialism puts on a new costume every generation and always takes root by attaching itself to some semi-legitimate issue. I know Xers, Millennials and Zoomers who genuinely did their best, worked their butts off for some credential or other, and found themselves either already locked out of a career or doomed to humiliating wage slavery under the smirking grin of HR mystery meat. Hell, I was one, initially, so I definitely sympathize. But along the way I met lots of other acquaintances who weren’t really that smart or talented, thought they could ride up the corporate ladder on bullshit the way they rode through academia, and when they didn’t get what they wanted, either joined the DSA or invented a fake gender identity or simply spent every day bitching about work instead of doing any.
My point is not that Millennials or Zoomers are this or that, it’s that the Day of the Pillow meme is a lot like the Gas the Jews meme, about 20% legitimate grievances bundled up with 80% enemy propaganda designed to drive a wedge between all the disaffected groups who want to see an end to the rule of globohomo’s managerial class.
Are there shitty boomers out there? Absolutely. A couple weeks back, someone made another post on the insolvency of Social Security, I forget exactly who or where, but some Boomers in the comments just had to pipe up and repeatedly complain that, sure, their contributions were paying dividends, but were not nearly as profitable as would be if they’d invested the money somewhere else. Words fail me, trying to characterize all the levels of egotism and narcissism packed in those few sentences. Hate those Boomers, absolutely; hate the “spending my kids’ inheritance” types, just know that there are shitty, entitled people in every generation.
I am not going to hold their sins against my parents, who worked tirelessly for the sake of their kids, nor anyone else’s parents who did the same. Not even if their efforts were frequently counterproductive as a result of the ubiquitous media consumption and academy-worship of their time. That doesn’t mean that the boomers are entitled to every last cent of their Social Security payouts, but said deprivation will not be out of rage and envy, it will be because the money simply doesn’t exist anymore.
I’ve seen very wealthy boomers die and not leave their sole next of kin anything of note, like not even enough for a really shitty broken down house in the ghetto. We’re talking good kin here who have made their own life their way, not welfare leeches druggo prison babydaddy etc. Fine relations too. What did the boomers do (who by the way got most of their wealth from inheritance, not work)? Gave it all to various causes. That’s the leftism socialite faggotry fam-ignoring boomers for you. I was talking to one of those kin recently, they had taken to spite. Rightly so if you ask me.
Point being, people have let a lot of ills and Evil infect the Civ, to where family happily fucks its own for no reason other than they think some gay ass cause or another is more important. And the courts accept this nonsense.
This Boomer meme is enemy action: “Instead of hating the left hate the Jews in funny hats.” “Hate your brother hate your sister hate your father hate your mother, so long as you don’t hate me.”
Yes I am sitting on two houses and a boat. But I helped my kids buy houses when they got married, and I intend that they will inherit undiminished wealth.
>This Boomer meme is enemy action
The problem is that a lot of it is originating from within the right.
https://americanmind.org/salvo/what-is-total-boomer-luxury-communism/
Little of what the article says is wrong, but politically it plays right into the left’s playbook. What “Total Boomer Luxury Communism” sounds to the left is, ‘we need better Communism’.
Wherever the right makes observations about reality, the left will seek to co-opt that observation for its own end. Does not invalidate the original observation.
(Characteristically Vox Day was a very early co-opter of the boomer-meme into ‘blame the boomers for everything’ slander.)
The boomers, as the driving force behind the cultural shift in the 60s/70s that solidified the end of Christian mainstream culture, deserve their fair share of blame. They slaughtered the chicken with the golden eggs and enjoyed the fried chicken. Obviously this did not happen in a vacuum: the butcher’s knife was pretty much forced into their hands. But it did happen nonetheless. And that’s all the blame they deserve. Not less, not more.
Disagree. We have been moving left since the eighteenth century, and the movement left has become steadily faster and faster — I don’t see movement left under the boomers standing out.
Indeed the Boomers rolled back socialism and redistributionism. Beatle John Lennon is responsible for “Imagine”, which has caused the deaths of tens of millions, but George Harrison was the primary writer and lead vocalist of the song “Taxman”, which features the iconic line “I’m the taxman”, without which I might well be living in poverty and might well be starving while standing in a very long bread line.
4chan created Trump, but George Harrison created Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. Plenty of Boomers fought the good fight.
The most radical and rapid movement left was Obama. You gonna blame the boomers for Obama?
Does stand out in numerous aspects. I mentioned wealth – boomers are the wealthiest generation. But even more in line with this blog’s theme, there’s divorce, which skyrocketed following the 60s/70s. Before the boomers, divorce wasn’t a thing. After boomers it was.
Once dating became a thing, it was inevitable that divorce would become a thing. And dating predates the Boomers. And gay marriage, trannyism, and open borders are all post boomer.
Yes bad things happened during the boomers. But bad things have been happening in every generation since the late seventeenth century, and worse things have been happening faster and faster.
Sure ‘all men are equal’ begat the suffragettes begat the 19th amendment begat no-fault divorce begat trannyism. Every generation has its sins.
But ‘dating culture’ imposed before boomers did not kill the boomers. Divorce imposed before gen Z did kill gen Z. Yes there has been a steady trend toward civilizational decline since 1800, yes that trend has accelerated with or without the boomers, but there has clearly been a noticeable bump in the acceleration before and after boomers. Edward Dutton: the 60s/70s were a sort of cultural watershed moment, in that before then, Western culture was still pro-cooperative, and after that, no longer. This matches my experience: my father was rewarded for trusting the system. But I was punished.
Also matches what I’ve read about the boomer ‘coming of age’ period, say a book like ‘Days of Rage’ or ‘Race War in High School’… Those decades were insane.
True. On the other hand, when the boomers were in charge, there was freedom of speech and freedom of religion. When the boomers lost power, Obama presidency, no more freedom of speech or freedom of religion, and the borders opened completely.
Well, in America, freedom of speech is returning, though not freedom of religion, and it came back with the great Orange Boomer. And in Europe, noticing the race of a rapist and his victim will get you a longer sentence than rape.
This looks to me like movement left has been accelerating. It accelerated under the boomers, and has continued to accelerate after the boomers.
Daddy Scarebucks:
What’s your complaint here? What they say is true. If they had invested 15.3% of everything they earned for decades instead of giving it to the government, they would have a much larger return on that money.
They state an obvious truth, yet you characterize that as egotism and narcissism and hate them for it. Why? I can guess why, but I won’t.
Congratulations, you’ve just earned your admission ticket to the guillotine group.
Despite being against the scapegoating of the entire generation of Boomers, I wish we had a better word for this particular type of Boomer, because it boggles the mind how anyone can have such a tin ear. In a room where people are complaining about being the victims of a generational pyramid scheme, from which the last generation to profit is the Boomers, the response, instead of just keeping their big mouths shut, is to loudly announce that they’re getting less than they should be.
Do you think anyone gives a shit that you believe you could have invested the money yourself for a better return? You’re Mr. Burns saying “I’d trade it all for a little more.” Or “Sure, we scammed you out of all your money, but our scam didn’t pay out very well and we sort of got scammed too”. No one cares.
I don’t think Boomers need to spend every second apologizing for this because, among other things, Boomers didn’t actually come up with the system in the first place; it was created by FDR in 1935, which means culpability is on the so-called “Greatest Generation” who were the ones actually in charge during a lot of the decline that gets blamed on Boomers, and the worst you could say about the latter was that they weren’t good stewards of the scam’s proceeds, and when they realized they had blown the budget, opted to raise taxes on everyone else in order to keep it solvent. (Compare 1940’s rate of 2% of max $3000 to 1980’s rate of about 11% of max $30,000 – you can’t blame that on “inflation”).
But if that’s all too complicated for you to remember, or doesn’t cast you in the light that you would have hoped, then do yourself and everyone else a favor and just shut up when the subject pops up in conversation, because you’re just digging that hole deeper with every word.
It is not the fault of the boomers that the economic system was still working and we still had some fading vestiges of modern capitalism back in their day.
If you are angry with the boomers for the fact that they could make good investments that could pay off, you are angry with capitalism for making people rich.
If group A does better than group B, what group B should say is “Why,and why cannot we do that?”. Not “Lets hang group A”
And he’s right. But who was really in charge in the 60s-70s? If you figure that the people actually running most major corporate and governmental institutions tend to be at least middle age (Elon Musk is 55; Sergey Brin is 53; Mark Zuckerberg and JD Vance are 42; just about everyone in government and non-crypto finance is literally geriatric) then the very youngest power figures during the 70s would have been born in the 1930s.
That’s not the Boomers; it’s the Silents. Although really, I suspect a lot of it was “Greatest” Generation holdouts well into their 50s, 60s and older, same as we have today.
Actually listening to Boomers talk about their childhood or their careers is nails on a chalkboard, but for the most part, they were victims too. I guess “they voted for it”, but knowing what we know today, when was the last time anyone really voted for any of this garbage? What choices were they given, and would any of those choices have mattered if they chose differently?
The evil thing about boomers is that in general they to a certain extent believe the TV in a way that others do not. For a generation of seniors to be a break even vote in 2024 (we can’t argue about 2020 because we don’t know how many Biden votes were fake) is really bad and we were saved by Gen Xers who while they have their shortcomings mindless trust in the tv is not one of them.
Bullshit. This would manifest in voting behavior. The leftmost generation, the generation that swallows the legacy media hook line and sinker, are the Zoomers.
More precisely, single female Zoomers. You need more contact with fertile age females.
And you should relax about women demanding the right to murder their five year old children. They think that is what they are demanding, but what they are really demanding is a beating followed by a banging. Women really hate emancipation, because the ancestral environment of female reproductive success is as property. It is just a shit test. Don’t take it seriously.
>Wherever the right makes observations about reality, the left will seek to co-opt that observation for its own end. Does not invalidate the original observation.
It’s not the observation itself, it’s the framing of the observation. Much of the right, being the big tent it is and retaining elements of the outer party, is still operating from leftism. Did you not read the article?
“Each day that passes means Gen Z and Millennials pay more of the price for Boomer irresponsibility.”
It blames a political problem on a class of people. Effectively arguing for class warfare.
I’ll point out again, that this framing of the problem as a class war, originated in the 1990s with the “Americans for Generational Equity” and “Third Millennium” which were both steep in leftist framing from the outer party.
What the right should be framing this as, is a political war against the left, but has been for the last 36 years been framing this as a socialist disagreement with a communist. This simply does not work.
“Once dating became a thing, it was inevitable that divorce would become a thing”
Dating started in the 1920s (and really it happened before that but it was called courting which was dating with at least the supposed intent to marry and generally with more chaporoning) divorce did not become a big thing until second wave feminism in the 70s (though there was a brief period where it skyrocketed right after WWII but then went back down) not sure I agree here dating may provide poor social incentives re marriage but divorce skyrocketed in the 70s due to a convergence of giving women way more power in marriage, also more financial incentives to divorce, and the fact that divorce started getting way more social approval whereas pre 1970s it was extremely frowned upon especially if a married couple already had kids (the brief spike in post WWII USO night marriage divorces were considered more understandable because they were reversing impulsive wartime acts and mostly the couples didn’t have kids and didn’t see much of each other during the war).
>I’ve seen too many a boomer sitting on 2 houses and a boat judging a detached gen Z’er for not pulling himself up by his bootstraps.
As men, it’s our duty to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps despite the odds. Yes, the boomers had it much easier, but most other generations had it much harder and still made heroic attempts at great costs. What’s going on is gen Z’ers hating a (despicable and hypocritical) messenger speaking a hard truth, and then contenting themselves to give up and covet other people’s stuff.
That’s a great way to get nowhere good, and a fast way to get to hell while dragging everyone else down with them. See the ’30 year old boomer’ meme where millennials who’ve ‘made it’ are mocked rather than seen as something hopeful and inspirational. But this is the result of the government.
Have you noticed how mainstream media, the cathedral, have been on an anti-boomer spree lately? Except this media is nothing new. If you dig back on media reporting on ‘generational conflict’, the term did not exist in any meaningful way before the quasi-government organization “Americans for Generational Equity” started. After AGE there were thousands of references to ‘generational conflict’ in publications during the early 90s. This spawned “Lead or Leave” and “Third Millennium” (which viewed itself as a Gen X version of Students for a Democratic Society) both being quasi government organizations. Notice the leftist lingo in these organizations?
Eventually we reach today with “ok boomer” being part of the political colloquialisms we are familiar with. Boomer hate, while grounded in some reality, is largely driven by the government. The most hilariously depressing aspect is that most of the organizations were, and still are, originating from Republicans trying to class war their way out of socialism. In essence, the less crazy, less leftist, outer party GOP trying to use leftism light to reform leftism pure… but using such tactics have only created fertile political grounds for the inner party to use the messaging to demand more “equity”.
It’s like how the Free Soil movement pre-civil war used the cause of economic racial equity for White people to urge anti-slavery, but helped created political space for abolitionist cause for total racial equity. A disaster in the long term that I don’t think I need to explain why to you.
Btw, here’s a clip of the holy leftist George Carlin hating on the Boomers for all the same reasons we see today. It was always a leftist position because generational conflict is in the same tool box as class conflict, race conflict, gender conflict, etc.

I will add something new, I think. You keep deleting my “same post”. Highly educated employees were very well compensated and respected in the late 20th century because [*deleted for all the usual reasons*]
You presuppose that colleges educate people. The reason why returns on “education” used to be higher was that corporations are forbidden to apply an IQ test, and the SAT used to be an IQ test. It is now considerably less of an IQ test.
I don’t care about education. I care about meritocracy. [*deleted for presupposing that accreditation equals merit*]
There is meritocracy, rule by the worthy, and aristocracy, rule by the best.
The Sat was aristocratic — and it no longer is. And that is why a university degree no longer delivers what was promised — because it never did, the Sat was doing the heavy lifting.
The ability to grind away at what university deems important and keep your nose clean during the process is indeed a measure of worthiness — albeit for the reasons that you regularly complain about, it no longer is. And yes, conservatives foolishly advocated that their children should demonstrate worth, when the universities no longer cared about filtering either the best or the most worthy.
But universities should not have a monopoly of measuring worth or excellence, even if they were doing it, which they no longer are.
The grinding should primarily be apprenticeship in a productive job. We should have an aristocratic filter of birth, sex, race, and IQ, and a meritocratic filter of apprenticeship, adherence to the state religion, and virtue as the state religion defines virtue.
You will notice that HR currently filters on worthiness as measured by adherence to the state religion of woke, and on worthiness as measured by the state religion: The oppression Olympics, Victimhood aristocracy, tactical suffering.
The problem is not enforcement of the state religion as a measure of worthiness, nor is the problem that our universities are seminaries of the state religion of woke. The problem is that it is a demonic state religion that needs to be erased with fire and sword as we erased the Aztec state religion and imposed a better one.
We have to erase our evil state religion, and cannot replace it by a vacuum, only by forcefully imposing our own religion as the state religion. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;” was dead on arrival due to a hundred workarounds, but initially the workarounds favored Christianity, while now they favor the faith’s of Ishtar and Moloch.
The proper job of universities is as seminaries for the priesthood of the state religion. And since we do not need all that many priests, most people should not need to go to university. Our crisis is overproduction of priests. No matter what degree you nominally get, what you are actually trained to be is a priest of woke.
To expand, meritocracy itself is a subversion of the traditional system of apprenticeship and of following the traditional family business.
Meritocracy puts priests in charge of assessing individual ability on an arbitrary scale for professions which cannot be judged on such academic points. Nothing beats genes, and on-field experience. Yes, experience can also overcome genetic influence but requires exceptional talent.
Meritocracy was an older leftist response to various kinds of Varnashrama-based systems to “level the playing field” to and allow everybody to compete for the same jobs regardless of family background or experience.
Exceptional talent is genetic influence.
Experience may sometimes be able to overcome genetic influence in that almost any skill can be improved by experience and training, but there is a limit. It is usually pointless to train an ability for which talent is lacking.
Talent is highly determined by genetic influence, but for now, the genome is enough of a black box, and environmental impacts on gene expression so complicated and unpredictable, that you really don’t know what you’ll get before trying, and so entry level training remains important to determine potential. Meritocracy is ideal if done in such a way that allows free entry to try, and also enforces an exit when it’s clear the potential just isn’t there or worth the squeeze. The only place I’ve seen this attempted large scale is in Officer Candidate School, which does produce as fair results as you can get under current political pressures (whether the standards they use are valid is up to debate). Nearly everywhere else either tries to level the field by leveling everyone, or artificially boosts the incapable far beyond others that it’s demoralizing. Traditional apprenticeship is far closer to meritocracy than what we typically experience today.
Dharmicreality, “following the family business” is all very well in a technologically stagnant society, but we do not live in one. And in the big picture, never have.
Much of the work that people do today for a living, is work that literally nobody was doing even 100 years ago, let alone much longer.
Traditional family business does not mean that the grandson does the same work as the grandfather. It means that the grandson is in the same business as the grandfather.
Businesses can and do evolve, e.g. a business that was repairing horse drawn carriages could evolve into a business that now repairs cars.
Electrical engineering is still electrical engineering even if the engineer from 100 years ago would have to do a lot of reading before he can work today. Pharmacy, medicine, law, crafts are all still the same business.
Upon further consideration of Dharmicreality’s view, I think it makes sense in India. Europe and parts of Asia had thousands of years of aristocratic breeding that through a combination of mistresses and concubines caused gene flow down to the masses. These days you can find aristocratic men among the general population and in the most unlikely of places. Meritocracy in America makes sense because great men can pop up anywhere, and it’s not fair or effective to lock them out of great things.
Not so with India’s intense caste system which had thousands of years of tightly controlled and segregated breeding. There was no, for practical terms, general gene flow from the aristocratic class downward. Untouchables are going to remain untouchables. Meritocracy there doesn’t make sense. On the other hand, India really should embark on a project of encouraging downward gene flow from the upper castes otherwise they’re going to be stuck with masses of low quality people forever.
That’s why engineering majors have to take sociology classes but sociology majors don’t have to take engineering classes.
I hated having to take those classes at the time, now I look back and hate that those classes were low quality. Had I, as an engineering student, got to enjoy reading Plato and Carlyle in a normal way without incessant feminist communist harpies twisting the texts, I’d have been a more rounded individual at a younger age.
I would let you make the argument, but I am silencing you for assuming the argument, rather than making it.
You have been assuming/presupposing that schools are for people who don’t give a damn about their children the entire time. They’re a mix of prison an orphanage in your view. I have been defending the conservative view, that schools are for meritocracy, and this is how we get away with protecting our K-selected children from the r-selected types. You know what I’m talking about.
Your view is implicitly democratic, egalitarian, and leftist, simply because it states the majority of people view schools as prisons so we should just go along with them. My demand for being rewarded for forced work done well is staunchly conservative.
That is not the conservative view. That is the Harvard view — that accreditation is “merit” and thus that Harvard should get to decide who rules. Which is a wildly leftist view, which the right, all of it, from Thermidor to Maga to reaction, views with disdain, and the radical right thinks needs to be dealt with black helicopters, long distance swimming lessons in the Pacific, and re-education camps in Alaska.
Disputes over who rules ultimately have to be resolved by coercive and lethal means.
Musk is Thermidor and I am reaction, and you cannot see much distance between his position on the schools and mine.
Yes it is a generational pyramid scheme. That is exactly my complaint. I am not profiting from the scheme at all. Even if I did sign up for Social Security or Medicare benefits, which I have not and never will, anything I got from it would not put me in profit territory. The whole thing was a massive loss.
So I sit here and complain about being forced to shove 15.3% of everything I’ve earned over decades into the maw of a giant communist pyramid scheme, and imagine what I might have done with that money instead. And your response is to threaten me with the guillotine and pop off like a histrionic woman? You should calm down and try smiling once in a while.
You’re not wrong but the issue is one of humility. If you are among those who suffered the least, and prospered the most, best not to complain to those who were done much worse. It betrays a sort of self centeredness. Which is what this entire conversation is about.
No, the issue of is one of envy and covetousness. The boomers were robbed, oppressed, and victimized, and you are being robbed worse. When you have lost your testicles and wallet to the robbers, should you be outraged at your fellow victims who have merely lost their wallets, and demand that they give up their testicles also?
I agree with him. But also I agree with Daddy Scarebucks that he is displaying a lack of maturity and an understanding that we are all in the same boat.
A serious question of envy…. when I see the bureaucrat that worked overtime trying to transition this nations toddlers (or whatever), and notice their status was gained at fleecing the productive working class (such as myself), and I want to see them hang or at least be pushed into the gutter, is that envy?
Not for one second do I look at my neighbor who is a more productive member of society and has more than me, and think he should have less, or I should have what is his. Never.
For that matter I do not begrudge the farmers in my home state that vote democrat, and always will. Even if they are boomers they deserve what they have. They made their contribution to the good.
Bezos deserves his yachts even though he owns a liberal rag. Etc.
There is some solipsism in my use of the term boomer which is an error.
One man makes $10M and another man makes $1M. Both get robbed 15.3% in a generational pyramid scheme. It’s the same crime, and they can commiserate on common ground without comparing incomes.
No worries, just because I was forced into a generational pyramid scheme doesn’t mean I would complain about it in a room full of poor and old people. I use decorum, and I give both my tunic and my cloak when God commands it.
I’m not taking any “benefits” because I want nothing to do with these communist criminals. People say oh you’re just getting back some of your own money. No I’m not. That money is gone. Any dollar I got would be at the expense of some 20 year old fry cook working at Denny’s right now.
Also, it doesn’t matter one flying damn what a man might have done with that 15.3% instead of discarding it into a generational pyramid scheme. Maybe he would have invested it and turned it into $28M by starting a business. Maybe he would have just spent it on his family, left more to his children, taken them on more vacations, sent them to a better school, given more to charity. Maybe he would have spent it all on whores and crack. I don’t give a runny shit because it was his money and none of my business.
Here I am a man who has paid many hundreds of thousands of dollars into a generational pyramid scheme. But because I have the temerity not to like that, someone here wants me decapitated. Now I understand the French Revolution.
Solipsism, again. How many times have I already said, explicitly, and before you even entered the conversation, that the Boomers were also victims in this scheme and don’t deserve all the hate? I show empathy for them, yet you do not empathize with this generation’s victims despite them having it much worse, and always redirect the conversation to yourself. Seriously, re-read your two most recent posts and count the number of “I”s and “me”s in there.
For starters, you didn’t pay that 15% your entire life. Assuming you are in fact of that generation, you spent most of your peak career years paying less than 10%, and more importantly, on a much lower maximum income. For anyone making at least a middle class wage, the burden has more than quadrupled since then.
If your neighbor cannot afford his mortgage payments and is about to lose his home, do you think he’ll welcome your counsel of “buck up, meatloaf, hard times for all of us, I had to give up my private plane”? Don’t try to tell him you’re the same, and don’t try to make the conversation about you. It’s not a matter of truth, because it was never a debate in the first place; it’s a matter of tact. The tact that you claim to have offline, and evidently left there.
If you’re eligible for benefits and not taking them then it’s better to lead with that, because the subject invariably comes up in the context of the program’s insolvency and eventual end to benefit payments, with all the default assumptions that entails. Even if your own hands are clean, it’s no more than a rounding error in the overall uptake rate of 65 million beneficiaries costing over $1 trillion a year, and doesn’t do the person complaining much good to proclaim your own innocence. One shouldn’t expect praise for doing the ethical thing, even if doing the ethical thing is difficult and rare in clown world.
What Jim said applies, but the inverse also applies: if a man gets robbed on the street, and his response to said robbery is to turn around and rob his neighbors, then he is not much better than the man who robbed him in the first place. If you’ve opted out of the cycle, great, that’s all that needs to be said for you. The others still doing the robbing (and their beneficiaries) need to own up to what they’re doing right now, and stop trying to make it about them and what they already paid.
While I don’t blame much/most of the generation, and Social Security is hardly the #1 issue anyway, many of them nevertheless show their true colors the moment anyone floats the idea of ending the bennies.
Social security was always a Ponzi scheme, and anyone wanting it to continue because they have already paid in is morally wrong. But what do you propose to do about all the old folks who don’t have two houses and a boat, and are no longer all that employable?
The original human design was that the the elders provided wisdom, education, and childminding services: the extended family.
Just as we have a breakdown in relations between men and women, we have a breakdown in relation between elders and children. The state is father, mother, and husband, and is not very good at any of them.
This results in defect/defect, which sucks. But we cannot afford to get angry about defect/defect and just blame one side for defecting, even if it is largely one side defecting. We have to address the incentive structure that drives defection with coercion that is going to hurt some people on both sides, though it will arguably hurt more people on one side than the other, entirely one sided coercion — as for example American divorce law — is not going to get us anywhere.

It’s almost absurd that the people of Christendom haven’t risen up and simply gassed these monsters once and for all. But, as we’ve established, le people rising up against oppression is nothing but a faerie story, that history nerds tell themselves to fall asleep at night and pretend they’re not powerless.
“I’m ALWAYS for blocking aid to universities for any reason but it’s very difficult not to notice that the GOP couldn’t be bothered to do this when universities were declaring that white people are evil Or when they discriminated against white people in admissions Or when they were holding kangaroo courts to destory the lives of men accused of sexual misconduct Or when they were they pushing communism on the student body Or when they were holding anti-American protests Or when they were burning American flags Or when they were promoting BLM Or when they were pushing COVID vax mandates Or when they were chanting about the need to destroy western civilization Or when they were attacking Christianity Or when they were teaching that men can become women The only thing that the GOP House seems to agree on is that Americans who are not loyal to a foreign power need to be punished So it may not be true that American politics is entirely controlled by Israel, but you can see why any rational human being who has not been totally brainwashed by Fox News and Newsmax may suspect that to be the case

Is there some reason why you are quoting Auron Macintyre without giving credit to Auron Macintyre?
I personally find Auron Macintyre’s flirting with the jew jew jew people and the blackpillers rather tiresome though unlike most people who went down that road he has managed to avoid tr00ning out completely though at one point he looked like he was getting close.
This sort of action is nothing new, nor is it equivalent to the much more serious episode a few years back when they tried to interfere with the 1A rights of private businesses on similar grounds.
If a university or any other institution accepts significant government funding, and is therefore partly government-owned, then it has no business taking any position on foreign policy that deviates from the government’s stated policy. That would be true if they were boycotting Israel, or China, or Nigeria, or anywhere else; if it’s not on OFAC, then it’s not their business. If different branches of the government are allowed to have their own policies, then the government as a whole will be considered agreement-incapable by other countries and be unable to make or maintain peaceful and productive relations.
On a more cultural level, universities that take up explicit BDS stances are invariably the farthest left, and cutting off their funding hurts our enemies, which is a good thing for us even if the rationale and framing is not the greatest. It would be even better to cut off federal funding of all universities, everywhere, and seize many of their endowments, but beggars can’t be choosers, so I’m content to say “it’s a start”.
That is assuming the bill actually passes Senate and is actually enforced, which is doubtful, because again, they try this every few years.
One way or another way, nukes are apt to ensue.
Let us recall how World War I begun. Serbia and to a lesser extent Russia found themselves with foreign policies of both war and peace. Austria got sick of Serbia making both war and peace, and the proverbial hit the fan.
ukrainians have been better fighters than the russians.[*deleted for not conforming to the moderation policy*]
The casualty ratio is about thirty to one in Russia’s favor, as shown by the evidence of graveyards, the evidence of the body exchanges, and the fact that Russia is able to man its forces in the Ukraine with volunteers.
This does not necessarily reflect Russians being better fighters than Ukrainians. It may well reflect the fact that those who overthrew democracy in Ukrainian hate Ukrainians as much or more than they hate Russians.
As I write this, the Russians are in the process of cutting off and surrounding an area of roughly one hundred square kilometers. It has become extremely difficult and dangerous for Ukrainian troops to enter or leave this enveloped region, but yesterday, the Ukraine was pouring freshly busified troops into it, and not withdrawing any troops from it. Which is the kind of tactics that one would expect to lead to a casualty ratio this one sided.

For a good chunk of the war, pretty clear “Ukraine” (Western advisors) had the better warriors. But better warriors don’t on their own overcome large disparities in material. i.e. bombs, drones, artillery, and just about everything else.
What made that pretty clear?
Several reasons.
-Russian military was having mighty big problems prior to Wagner showing up and the Russian military learning from them. i.e. Russia was still operating on Cold War doctrine of hit with artillery and then move in big convoys of tanks and infantry. This didn’t work out well and Western advisors provided ISR and targeting guidance to the Ukrainians to hit the convoys. It resulted in some very large losses for the Russians early war. Russian bureaucracy (not too dissimilar to DOD), kept doubling down again and again. It took several years before the Russian Officer Corps figured out to stop doing large force concentrations and shift to small unit infiltration under cover of drones.
-Ukraine’s early to mid war military was extremely adaptive and innovative with drones, they have a free market where commanders could buy just about anything, then they would share with other units on how effective those systems, which would inform other commanders what to buy, which would drive the market towards innovation. Russian innovation didn’t catch up until about a couple years ago. Now the Russian drones are superior. The reason for Russia lagging was a dependence on their cold war era defense industry (which operated like how American defense industry still operates), I think it was in the last year that Russian bureaucracy allowed, and started promoting silicon valley like startups that are now working hand in hand with the state.
Arguably, both reasons are more or less a question of bureaucracy, but it’s the bureaucracy that determines how warriors operate and how they are equipped, which determines the quality of how they fight.
But the main takeaway from this should be that America’s military is far more similar to Russia early war than it’s to Ukraine let alone Russia now.
Zcash is up ~30x against bitcoin over the past 12 months and has recently hit a new all time high of $1000.
zcash is garbage written by some of the same leftist troon-team that did tor, and the nsa loves tor, because it breaks tor’s location all day long, because they left that hole in, they leave holes in a lot of stuff, because they like breaking it all day long.
Perhaps. I don’t have the technical ability to argue.
However, it’s interesting that over the past 12 months a 10 year old shitcoin has suddenly done a 30x relative to the hardest monetary asset.
Zcash has developed some real and impressive tech.
Not going to boost it, but it could be big. Or not.
On the one hand, it looks like there has been a renewed interest in privacy coins this past year, as Monero has also more than doubled relative to Bitcoin. It stands to reason that there is some legitimate interest in Zcash as (supposedly) the new privacy hotness.
On the other hand, the actual rise in Zcash’s value appears to be driven by the same institutional fuckery as conventional equities, with the majority holdings being through a single ETF. Most people who “own” ZEC don’t actually own any coins, which is far worse than even the soft custodial ownership of Bitcoin through Coinbase and so on. “Short squeeze” isn’t a term you should hear often, or ever, when dealing with a cryptocurrency, yet here we are.
I admit I can’t really speak for the tech either, but the whole thing feels very Ripple 2.0ish. Maybe not in terms of tech but in terms of the community around it, one half investment bankers looking for easy money and the other half annoying NFT shilling cryptobros, none of whom have my best interests first and foremost in their minds.
I’ve been playing a decent semi-modern game called Stardew Valley. I enjoyed Harvest Moon growing up. Stardew is charmingly simple and uplifting
It is off-putting that the male NPCs are potentially gay. Getting their hearts up produces weird dialogue. The only normal sounding male characters are the non-marriageable ones like the wizard and the dwarf
If we had right wing games, you could do a lot with the Harvest Moon/Stardew concept. Courtship would be a case of being willing to go to jail and occasionally literally going to jail. Migrants would be dumped on the local community, with trash and crime and taxes and corruption piling up and the previous residents moving out, and the farm itself needing higher walls, eventually South Africa style security
One game that is very well made and based is Factorio. In that game you build a factory in an environment of hostile aliens that are basically environmental terrorists that want to destroy your factory. As you advance in the game you get more powerful weapons where eventually you have to forcefully remove all the hostile aliens or they will over run your base and you lose.
While we’re discussing good games: Slay the spire is another example of an excellent one. Challenging, fun, very well balanced.
I’ve been playing Elin. It’s basically a Japanese Dungeons & Dragons sandbox, but you can do a lot more than dungeon diving. I’ve mostly gone into farming. My cotton plantation is very profitable. Unfortunately my tobacco plantation is not very profitable as the game doesn’t scale the pricing for that crop very well. Will be scraping it for more cotton. Haven’t gotten into selling slaves yet.

Speaking of which, I was driving around one day and I saw a sign saying “something something Institute of Theosophy”, and I thought to myself, “WTF is theosophy?” So I looked it up and I’m still not sure.
Its okay the Theosophists aren’t sure either. Some people who would be called occultists are incredibly based and insightful figures even from the perspective of a rational materialist (Gurdjieff very very much so he had an understanding of human psychology far beyond what psychologists have) Blavasky was just a grifter who any insights you could pick up from her would be about how to grift people.
At the end of the Lindsay Clancy trial the Judge commented that during WW2 Churchill stood against Germany alone and had to talk to the citizens and said let us brace for our duties and he thought of that phrase and that they should be proud of what they did. Pretty clear he was talking about the lone juror that stood strong against the others in acquitting Clancy. I’ve never seen such a strong rejection of a jury before.
This may have violated some rule on Judicial conduct, but at this point, what does it matter. The legal system is absolutely broken if we can’t put the criminal insane down.
