Google is evil

Does your business use Google Analytics on its website?

Then Google will use the information that it so generously generates and analyzes for you to show ads for competing businesses to your customers. While you are analyzing the information to see how you can improve your business, they are analyzing the information to see how they can destroy your business.

And a general reminder to everyone: Add the following to your hosts file:

This will cause a whole lot of ads, and a whole lot of ad targeting, to disappear.

Turn off Thunderbird and Firefox’s routine tattling.

  • Mozilla Firefox
    • Type ‘about:config’ in the address bar
    • Click through the warning
    • Type ‘geo.’ in the search box. A list of items appears
    • Doubleclick on the geo.enabled item till it reads ‘False’
    • Change the two strings to ‘http://localhost’
    • Change the timeout to 1
  • Mozilla Thunderbird
    • Select Tools/Options/Avanced/General/Config Editor
    • click through the warning
    • type ‘geo.’ in the search box. A list of items appears
    • set the timeout to one, and the url to ‘http://localhost’

Don’t use Google accounts. Remember that you can create a new google account without giving them any ID information on a fresh android phone which is connected to the internet by the mall wifi, but does not have a sim card in it.

Don’t use Google search for anything related to politics or money, since this is sending your searches character by character to Google. Definitely don’t use Google search while logged in to your Google account. Use DuckDuckGo. I have never received a targeted ad from DuckDuckGo except in reply to my search.

Don’t use Chrome, because this reports all browser activity to Google.

Disable all durable cookies for Google Servers.

Thank you very much for this info. Much appreciated.

Most will already know this but noscript add-on for firefox is great. It blocks ALL scripts unless you let them through.

Friends: Analyze this. I sent an email to a friend to invest in NVIDIA, A minute later came an ad in large font: WHY YOU SHOULD THINK BEFORE BUYING NVIDIA. They are definitely reading my mail.

I am a regular guy and like targeted ads. I am fat and could not buy belts and so, till they found out and sent me ads. I am satisfied. I am Zionist and Google sends me clips and fake news that I love. Google is good.

Blocking ads is best done with (surprise) AdBlockPlus.
GeoIP – yes, though there’s Location Guard for lulz.

And yes, Google is evil. Not that it’s new. And throws its weight around now and then, with entirely unsurprising results (infestation or suffocation). For example:
Of course, they stopped being “just a search engine” at the latest when they bought spy satellites (anyone here wants to walk up to CIA building to try and buy some “obsolete” SIGINT equipment?), so there’s also that.

Found a great graph that demonstrates the end of Moore’s law / stagnation in computing power.

Note that the scale is logarithmic so a linear plot is showing exponential growth.

Run a scriptblocker. Whitelist as necessary.

Run an adblocker simply because it can be used to edit webpages on the fly. Youtube’s related videos section became overly massaged, so I’ve prevented it from loading. I’ve blocked over half of Twitter’s iframes. It looks pretty okay now, instead of amazingly cluttered. Any annoying or disgusting images? Right click, gone.

By default these two block google and indeed most everything. Though of course don’t use Chrome, because I’m sure their versions have back doors.

If one isn’t a CIA director or some comparably important figure, is there any risk to doing any of this? I can’t imagine google going after some average Joe for viewing right wing material on chrome while logged into his google account (at least not for another decade or so).

In the UK, that begins to happen now

    • Steve Johnson says:

If you’re interesting enough to get 10k+ twitter followers they’ll track down your real identity so they can ban you sooner on your new account. There have been whispers about this happening.

      • Will says:

So why haven’t they doxed Jazzhands Mcfeels? 15k followers and his show gets tens of thousands of listens per week. And twitter lets a lot of big figures in the alt right tweet whatever they want (Spencer, Jared Taylor, Ramzpaul)

        • Your Wife's Son says:

Take YT. YouTube cracked down on Taylor, but Spencer is a media circus clown and Ramz is (suspected as) a fed, so they can stay for a while. Pattern: controlled opposition is tolerated; genuine thoughtcriminals are banned. David Duke will never be banned from anywhere, while Andrew Anglin was kicked in the nutsack.

I have not been following the TRS crew very closely, so can’t tell who’s who in there. Enoch is autistic but he’s a good guy. Sven, I don’t know.

    What browser should one use?

    • jim says:

I don’t know. All the ones that are not evil tend to be broken, out of date, and unmaintained. I use Mozilla Firefox, having given up on Pale Moon, but I certainly do not recommend Mozilla. Microsoft is possibly the least evil giant corporation around, but Microsoft Edge just sucks, plus I use both Ubuntu and Windows 10, and would like to have a solution that works on both of them.

      • Mackus says:

What’s wrong with Pale Moon? And what about Brave?

      • TBeholder says:

Microsoft is possibly the least evil giant corporation around

Or… they are plenty evil, just too inept to have much harm actually done – it dies of cancer before it gets to the customer. 😂
That said, they did contribute much to the circus of BSA and shrinkwrap licenses.

      • Cavalier says:

        >Microsoft is possibly the least evil giant corporation around

And how do you know this? Windows is now literally spyware.

        • pdimov says:

MSFT probably has been sending everything to the NSA since forever, but the NSA isn’t evil. Or wasn’t.

Pretty clear that Apple and Microsoft (the ones for which leftists are saying are the evilest) are the least evil corps.
