The evidence that Russia hacked the election

When you subtract the spin, the evidence is that Russia Today News reported true things about the American election that the mainstream media did not want reported, that this is the same sort of thing as stealing true emails from the Democrats and giving them to Julian Assange to publish, therefore the same authority as ultimately has charge of Russia Today News stole the emails.

The spy agencies do not in fact know anything about the hacking that is not known to everyone. The emails themselves reveal that the Democrats were spearphished. The spy agencies are just forming an opinion on it from the point of view of someone who finds the existence of news media outside the power of the United States Government outrageous.

It is just an opinion based on the same evidence as is available to every well informed person, and most well informed people have formed a different opinion.

That Russia Today News reports truths that the mainstream media do not is reported as a horrifying outrage that pretty much constitutes an act of war. How dare anyone mention stuff that goes against the Cathedral spin?

I think our host’s Germany 1932-34 metaphors are apt, though the rhyming of history will be hard for many to see, including me. They won’t ring a bell to say ‘look, that newsleak (or something) is today’s equivalent of the Reichstag Fire.’

In any case, it’s looking more and more likely that the first action will have to be against the CIA and State.

“I want to splinter the CIA in a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds.” -JFK (April 1961)

      Time to finish the job.

      • coyote says:

JFK underestimated his enemy. He never got started splintering the CIA; and they showed the world who was in charge- every single president since knows it.

When I pulled the lever for Comrade Trump in November at my irredeemably rural bitter clinger voting site, I was humming Alexander Alexandrov’s glorious melody as it played quietly from tiny speakers hidden in my ushanka that I bought from The People’s Cube kommisars. I’m afraid that if I told a NYT reporter that tale, he would actually report it, tovarisch.

So much for us deplorables being Nazi fascists! 🙂

I voted for Comrade Trump because the Ruskies promised me the following: one forty-five caliber automatic; two boxes of ammunition; four days’ concentrated emergency rations; one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills; one miniature combination Russian phrase book and Bible; one hundred dollars in rubles; one hundred dollars in gold; nine packs of chewing gum; one issue of prophylactics; three lipsticks; three pair of nylon stockings.

Leaving aside the Dr. Strangelove reference, this whole thing reminds me of the Israelis dancing on a rooftop in New Jersey across from the collapsed Twin Towers.

My simple explanation of the Dancing Israelis is not that they were celebrating an “inside job” or a ‘false flag operation.” Rather, their joyful mood was that with the U.S. just having experienced on a proportionally larger scale what Israel has been going through for decades, America would finally understand the world from an Israeli perspective and help them fight the same enemy. You know, kind of a Winston Churchill right after Pearl Harbor kind of thing.

The Russians celebrating Trump doesn’t mean it was an “inside job” either.

          Lol.

OK Mr. Laughed-out-loud, I’m wrong, you and Mr. Obama and the entire Main Stream Media and Democratic Party are correct.

9-11 was a false-flag operation of the CIA in cooperation with Israeli intelligence, Israeli settlements are illegal and the U.S. should join the world community in condemning them, Hamas are all good people, Iran is earnest about keeping their side of the Nuclear Deal . . . and Putin’s Russia collaborated with the Republican Party (shades of Watergate!) to tilt the election to Mr. Trump?

            Am I missing anything?

I assure you RT does not do it out of altruism or out of a feeling of Christian brotherhood. Undermining Western nations has been a prime Soviet goal for many decades, and it hasn’t changed now. For the moment, supporting far right _and_ far left parties in Europe or Trump in the USA weakens these nations and creates chaos, creates troubled waters for Russian intelligence people to fish in (and it is cheap and easy, too). OTOH far right and/or nationalist parties in neighboring countries (Poland, the Baltics, Ukraine) are excoriated as little better than (or literally) Nazis.

    • Candide III says:

That’s not to say Russian intelligence has had anything whatsoever to do with DNC/Podesta/Trump election as such. Podesta’s email password was ‘password’. A bright grade schooler could have hacked them.

      • Pseudo-chrysostom says:

you’ed be surprised how common that is.

Standard ‘dummy’ passwords to try before anything else:

        password

        admin

        Their full name

their initials+year or date of birth

      >Undermining Western nations has been a prime Soviet goal for many decades

“Many decades” isn’t long enough to justify hand-wringing about the West being undermined. The West was undermined before the Soviet Union existed. And if this is going to be a stomping ground for shitting on American politics let’s not pretend there was anything worth conserving here in the 1920’s.

If we assume Putin is insincere, that he is feigning enthusiasm toward Trump over Clinton, one should consider his opportunism a breath of fresh air compared to the situation we would be in if Clinton was our president-elect. Furthermore, if the power behind Clinton could not secure her as president by their own demotic system, how scared should you really be of Putin? You give people too much credit.

      >Christian brotherhood

      lol

RT is a news organization. It wants viewers. Reporting important news that the Western mainstream media refuses to report gets it viewers.

It is not an evil plot. They are just performing their jobs in accordance with their job description – while the Western Mainstream Media fails to perform their jobs.

    • Steel T Post says:

      > “…prime Soviet goal for many decades, and it hasn’t changed now.”

A candid historical update: the Soviet Union has been gone since 1991.

Maybe J.R. Nyquist still has your ass puckered about a surprise nuclear missile attack by no later than 2012 or the goings-on under Yamantau Mountain, and you missed the last 25 years?

To riff on Erdogan’s quip, using Russian assistance is like riding a tram: you go as far as you need to and when your station is up (or the tram’s way starts to diverge from yours) you get off. There can be little doubt that, in the long run, western nations that run more to the right would be even more at loggerheads with Russia than they are today, as there is no rightist equivalent to the brotherhood of leftist governments. But that battle is far off.

    “a former KGB archivist.”

They redacted the name of Mitrokhin, unless they are talking about some other archivist?

Many of things they point out certainly didn’t originate from Russian media.

Many of it seems like obvious conclusions that anyone could derive.

  5. Matt@occidentalism.org says:

I’ve read all the reports, and found that they don’t prove hacking at all. What is worse is that knowing that this is complete BS and seeing all the stuff on TV talking about it like it is true is enraging. What is worse is that enormous numbers of people are falling for it.

The oligarch combine had done its work well up to the era of the Internet which got past them like a dark wolf on a moonless night. What we see in lefto-progressive screeching today is simply the momentum and inertia of the great “What’s your sign?” hippie dippy Gramscian dumbing down of youth subculture begun in the 60’s. Soon the progressive agenda will be seen as “quaint” and shortly after as silly.

Internet derived culture is a culture of curiosity, in spite of its specter of banality. Hell, even Beavis and Butthead could separate musical shit from Shinola and uproot posers. The oligarchs cannot rely on the old ideational inertias to function against a backdrop of rapid meme obsolescence and the competition to be “what’s next”. Data is out of control and now capable of speaking for itself, sorting itself into effort free categories better approaching the truth of the matter.

“past them like a dark wolf on a moonless night”

What a splendid way of putting it.

It’s been two decades and even now it’s just beginning to even faintly occur to them that the Internet is the printing press on super-duper-Hulk-roid-rage steroids and they are the Catholic Church.

        • Walter Alter says:

1950’s media guru, Marshal McLuhan made one of the more important observations of modern times when he noted that “technology is inherently democratizing”. Technology put what were heretofore ruling class luxuries into the hands of the working poor- dinnerware, household goods, needles and thread, buttons, tools and so on, stuff that was outside the average person’s budget or obtained with difficulty because they were all expensively hand made.

The Industrial Revolution made handicrafts obsolete and put a lot of craftsmen out of work which led to a large movement of journeymen hand laborers protesting machine production. This “Arts and Crafts Movement” was the root beginnings of Marxism and is why technophobia is a central symptom of leftist insanity.

Not only is technology inherently democratizing (we wouldn’t have federated electoral republics had there been no Industrial Revolution), it is hierarchy destroying. Again, we would still be under the thumb of an aristocracy had the Industrial Revolution not occurred. Many in the ruling class know this in their bones and this is why the smarter factions of the oligarch globalists are pushing much of the leftist agenda along the lines of Soros, AlGore and the anti-Trump GOP.

          • jim says:

The cycling between aristocracy, oligarchy, democracy, mob rule, caesarism, and monarchy has been going on for a long time, not much to do with industrial advance.

Democracy has in the past died pretty quickly. It lasted longer this time because more successfully managed to yield the predetermined result.
