Once every few years I will see a stunning young white girl of high school age with a same age black male who is a physical specimen, obviously a star athlete.
The only somewhat regular pairing I see of white female black male is with very obese and unattractive white girls and black thugs. But even that is rare. And I only see that around very low income neighborhoods which I rarely frequent.
I asked a friend of mine once, a black guy with a huge white girlfriend why they always pick the fat girls. He laughed and told me strait “so you (white guys) don’t take them from us”.
But even in south Florida where which is extremely diverse, black male/white female is very rare to see in any context. If a white girl makes it through high school without banging a black guy she likely never will.

The particular project that has so exercised our Congress and neocons is called “Zeus.” It is actually a nuclear powered space tug that is intended to transfer stuff from Earth orbit to Moon orbit. It would be a necessary component of the Moon Base planned by the Russians and Chinese.
They will likely also build a fairly large space station in Earth orbit, or maybe just expand the existing Chinese station, which is already the size of three or more school buses or semi-trailers.
The problem is it won’t be a race. China and Russia will achieve their goals, whatever they are, and the US will try to turn it all into a story to push their agenda. The U.S. is incapable of listening to others, and is erratic and ineffective and worse as a result.
And the U.S. history of using hard power to try to get/enforce soft power was never the best approach and is proving less and less effective over time as a) the use of hard power causes resentment and blowback; b) our hard power has become visibly less effective; and c) our competitors for soft power have been pursuing it softly and that has been well-received by “the Global South.” The U.S. doesn’t seem to realize how far down the path of losing relative soft power we’ve already gone.
Western governments have so often voiced technologically ambitious plans they can’t execute that I don’t take them serious. Don’t know much about how reliably Russian and Chinese government execute such plans.
Anyway, even if the Russians and Chinese are seriously working on a permanent base on the moon, I don’t see how this could lead to a new space race as the GAE lacks the technical means to even enter such a race in any way beyond hiring hordes of Shaniquas to work on a project that will never produce anything but costs and press releases.
Russia has been successfully executing a pile of high tech plans. China, not so much, usually falling seriously short and way behind schedule, but they tend to get where they are going eventually.

They are unresponsive. And the USG and its official media are similarly unresponsive.
The never ending noise on whether a tower seven fell straight down like a demolition, or fell sideways into the square to the south of it, towards the side that was on fire and damaged by shrapnel from the plane, and whether the wreckage of a commercial airliner was strewn around the pentagon, exemplifies the latter.
When the Russians attempt to hold a conversation with American Ambassador or USG official media, they suffer a similar experience.
There’s a reason for this. The reason is that in contrast with the past and a result of the speed of communication through email, ambassadors went from being trusted emissaries of a president’s will with wide discretion to make decisions to messenger boys who have to deliver, in many cases literal rote talking points to other nations’ leaders.
Additionally, since the majority are “career diplomats” if they want to advance to the next rung, they know they had best not piss off the bureaucracy that they are creatures of. That means conformity to what the foreign policy/national security blob tells them is good even if it is not just patently stupid and out of touch but actively destructive of real U.S.soft or hard power. Also, to get to be a career ambassador in the first place means you’ve already been filtered for your willingness to do this and not rock the boat. By the time they have gone through their 10,000th meeting on some stupid topic with their overseers they have learned to stop thinking about it individually and just mouth what they know the blob wants to hear them mouth anyway.
The political appointees do not have the excuse of it effecting their future advancement in quite the same way but even the political ambassadors have one main ambition: leave a legacy in the country to which they are assigned. But the trick with that is that no legacy is a legacy if the bureaucrats do not deem it one. A legacy, therefore, consists of advancing a policy created by D.C. and seeing it stick. Which means the same process is at play. Undertaken this way a political appointee may be able to find lucrative jobs afterwards on a speaking circuit if he is very “good” at doing this or more likely in some Beltway-adjacent consultancy or think tank. Some go “native” and start the same consultancy process later with the country they were assigned to but that is frowned upon by the blob and seen as gauche. It can be quite lucrative though.
The days of ambassadors as independent decision makers like ship captains in the days of sail are long gone.

If Washington expects a certain foreign leader to be inimical to U.S. policy they can communicate that but there are limits on communicating realistic assessments from “friends” which contradict Washington’s own views. They have to be couched just so in order to keep the blob from reacting due to cognitive dissonance or outrage. Usually, where a gap is communicated or pointed out, the blob blows it off as being “politicized” or “out of touch.” Often the ambassador who made such a faux pas as to pierce the veil of deliberate ignorance is apprised of his mistake.
If allowed to know, but not supposed to let on that they know, then why bother knowing it all? It takes more effort to know than not to know. If knowing offers no advantages to the person or career of the diplomat, then the diplomat who does not know, does not want to know, cannot know has the edge!

Even in the age of the internet, even just traveling to another country gives a very different impression of its reality, let alone mastering its language, and it will never be practicable for a working head of state even to frequently briefly visit all significant countries. The collapse in trust in ambassadors is facilitated by communications, but truly *caused* by the collapse in discretionary authority at all levels and the subordination of all government functions to propaganda downstream of the prog religion. The State Department that has no real ambassadors is the same State Department that collectively deluded it was afflicted by the Havana Syndrome, which is definitely not a consequence of improved smarts and tech.
