There’s a new translation of the Bible published recently where I live. At the family gospel reading this year I accidentally ignored it several times and recited from memory instead, as I heard it from parents and grandparents: “Det skjedde i de dager at det gikk ut befaling fra keiser Augustus om at hele verden skulle innskrives i manntall…”
