The fall of Pokrovsk

I don’t do news of the day, for its meaning is seldom apparent until months or years after it happened, but fall of the Pokrovsk agglomeration (soon to return to is pre 2014 names of Krasnoarmeysk and Mirnograd) indicates that the Ukraine war is much closer to its end than its beginning, and tells us much about the future of warfare.

There was no house to house fighting in Krasnoarmeysk. Either there were very few Ukrainian troops, or after weeks without food, water, ammo, or medivac they were disinclined to fight. Resistance to the Russians was only drones, and drones do not suffice.

The Russians suffered about a dozen confirmed casualties taking Krasnoarmeysk. It is unlikely that total casualties were many times larger than confirmed casualties.

Mirnograd is still Ukrainian hands, or was still in Ukrainian hands a few hours before I wrote this. Presumably, Russia will suffer a couple of dozen more casualties taking Mirnograd.

And presumably Russia suffered a lot more than a few dozen casualties laying siege to the Pokrovsk agglomeration, but once it had been sieged for a little while, it fell like a ripe fruit.

In a pointless effort to delay the fall, the Ukrainian regime threw most of their Nazis into it. This leaves them with a much smaller pool of loyalists. Looks like everyone in the Ukraine except the Jews and the Nazis hates the Maidan regime.

Russia suffered a high price taking Bakhmut. It paid a high, but somewhat lower price for Avdeyevka (known as Avdiivka from 2014 to 2024 february.)

The Pokrovsk agglomeration, now the returning to its old name as the Krasnoarmeysk agglomeration or Krasnoarmeysk and Mirnograd, came at a far, far lower price.

This tells us something about the future of war. The Rubicon group took Pokrovsk, drone versus drone, and drone operator versus drone operator, with grunts on the ground coming in with very little drama to secure the ground after the battle in the air was won.

It is said that only grunts can hold ground. This true, but hard for them to hold ground once air power shuts down movement.

Sieges are now coming back. In future war, each small group of grunts is going need a big stash of supplies, because of the likelihood of siege.

Thank you for the essay.

Yes, siege warfare has always been an effective strategy. Even with the increasing reliance on technology. When one sees their follow soldier killed in horrifying ways, one is demoralized.

This tactic is most useful and in the end, can save lives. It is always beneficial to seek a reasonable compromise, but when none is available, war should be terrible.

hcm says:

It’s all attrition. If the ukrainians had the manpower, they could have made the Russians bleed now as they did then, but there is no one left to fight. The newest weapons and tactics are good and all, but entirely meaningless without someone on the ground. Drones change the tactics, but the strategy is ancient.

Continuing the thread on superheroes here:

@PC

The basic problem with many superhero stories is that they are atomized. The hero is often written as a loner who is unwilling or unable or does not even touch on the possibility of larger scale coordination.

I see superhero genre as the Ultimate fantasy of the priestly class. Where the superhero is larger than life, holier than mere mortals, is the arbiter of goodness and loved by all. Rules are meant to be followed by mere mortals, not by the superhero.

Note that, even “imperfect” superheroes tend to always be on the “right side of history” meaning the side of the ruling state religion, the merely mortal “imperfections” doesn’t matter for the superhero (and by extension to the priestly class) who is above it all. Ultimately everybody bows to the superhero, physically or metaphorically.

The superhero is clearly not a warrior fantasy because the superhero is not bound by the warrior duties or responsibilities, economics, large-scale cooperation or even mere administration of power. Wherever the superhero appears, he is a figure to be seen as the ultimate moral arbiter of good and evil, passing judgment and punishing the “wrongdoers” and represents the “legion” of the state priesthood consensus with almost unlimited powers and little, if any, responsibility.

The problem with modern superheroes is that they serve the evil and insane state religion of progressivism because the priestly class who created these superheroes live in that frame.

S says:

Sort of? Superhero stories descend from westerns and adventure stories; John Carter fits your definition of warrior fantasy, but Tarzan doesn’t- he is king of the jungle the same way Batman is protector of Gotham.

Comics converge on cooperation because nerds love crossovers and ‘who would win’- Superman comes out in 1939, The Justice Society of America in 1940. Without continuity resetting you go from loner batman to the Batfamily.

I suspect another large part of it is the authors and target audience having a poor internal physics engine that can only model rutting, rather than actual deadly combat. Superheroes are just the standard way of writing a story where an issue of any real importance is resolved by an extended punching match everyone walks away from, instead of instantly deadly ambushes or heavy equipment. Asians probably to put RPG level scaling into everything for the same reason.

The housing crisis is predominantly a blue state problem, California and New York. OK, it is bad everywhere, but it is overwhelmingly worse in the blue states. Therefore not plausible on its face that Trump and Maga is the cause. Rather, it is the deep state that is the cause. I speak from experience: It is impossible to build a house, because the regulatory process is not only labyrinthine, but extraordinarily corrupt from top to bottom.

The only way to fix the housing crisis is to shoot hundreds of thousands of bureaucrats and ngo quasi bureaucrats, and substantially raise the salaries of the survivors, while making it far easier to fire the survivors

The fake GDP of the blue state FIRE economy is primarily people on the revolving door between regulators and regulated, an enormous number of people who have become enormously wealthy by preventing housing from being built, and this fake economy and trillions of dollars in fake GDP have to be eliminated, which is likely to require physically eliminating very large numbers of enormously wealthy people.

(Which people, though disproportionately Jewish, are far from being majority Jewish. While eliminating the Jews or deporting them to Israel would make a dent in the problem, it would not fix the problem. Plus, lately, they have been becoming disproportionately dot Indian, and correspondingly less Jewish.

The meme is “every single time”. It is not every single time, or even most of the time, but it is enough of the time to get people pissed at the Jews. The Jews however, are the matador’s cape not the matador. If you got rid of the Jews and the dot Indians, they would swiftly be replaced, for whites are wolf to whites.)

This is the hill for Trump to die on. If he cannot shut down or severely restrict EBT and Section 8, the Democrats will carry on running the government as if Trump didn’t exist. If Trump wins, the poor will live in tents eating milk and hardtack until they find jobs.

Jim says:

> This is the hill for Trump to die on. If he cannot shut down or severely restrict EBT and Section 8, the Democrats will carry on running the government as if Trump didn’t exist.

Section 8 is intended to direct the Democrats two legged biowapons into swing districts.

The Trump administration’s fiscal year 2026 budget request includes a proposed 51% cut in gross discretionary funding for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which would effectively eliminate both the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program and project-based Section 8 assistance.

Your Uncle Bob says:

Removing 20-50 million immigrants, illegal and legal, would also lower housing prices significantly. That’s a large number, but with a little encouragement self deportation would do more of the work than literal ICE captures.

There’s a story that, back in the early 80s, a union organizer was telling his handlees that the Reagan tax cuts would really only amount to $20 a year for the average worker. Story goes that a worker in the back yelled out “well, I want my twenty bucks!”

I’m coming to the point where I want my twenty bucks.

And more than me, throwing guys younger than me a bone would go a long way. Any positive impact on living wages and housing prices solves pussy for competent straight white men; gets you an army if needs must but also opens up the bare possibility of a soft landing (via the counting heads to see who would win side of democracy). But it needs a better faith effort than 50 year mortgages to pick up the crown in the gutter.

But I’ll spot you, and Mossadnik, this – deport Indians first, and give jews a chance to read the room. The former are metastasizing at a speed the heebs never dreamed of. And 50 year mortgages for the peasants, oy vey!

So yeah, Democrats will win and open the gulags when they take power. Republicans will wonder “if things were reversed” as they go to the guillotine. And Europe will want to one-up America by being more progressive, so expect pedophile rights to be right around the corner. They already have child euthanasia and they’re only pretending to be against pedophilia because it hurts the Church, but that’s getting old and played out so they can drop the act soon and just do whatever they want.

And in spite of all this, the average Ukrainian refuses to change his stupid fucking accent and switch to the Russian side. They are going to get genocided and deserve every god damned bit of it.

Jim says:

You refer to the supreme court ruling upholding gay marriage, which takes the issue off the table preparatory to the mid terms.

The vast majority of gays, regardless of age, are attracted to children below fertile age, regardless of the sex of the child.

The major attraction of gay marriage for gays is the ability to adopt and foster other people’s children, with entirely predictable consequences in all cases. I say all cases, because every single poster child for gay marriage has blown up in the faces of the gay movement. If a counter example existed, that child would be on posters in every workplace and school. All gay adoptions and fosterings are now furtive, because when people learn of a gay adoption, private citizens are likely to take a look. However all state organisations are now penetrated by the lavender mafia, and are extremely reluctant to take a look, and it clear that every state and quasi state organisation is extremely reluctant to hear bad news about gay adoptions, or even notice their existence.

Before we can undo gay marriage, state organisations will need to start looking, and need to generate some statistics indicative of the nature of gay marriage in actual practice. When we have the data in hand, then it will be time to undo gay marriage.

All straight males, regardless of age, are attracted for a quickie, for immediate sexual contact, are attracted to all age fertile females, and, regardless of their own age, from thirteen to one hundred and thirteen, are most attracted to females at their most fertile age, mid twenties, Sydney Sweeney’s age.

All straight males, regardless of their own age, from thirteen to one hundred and thirteen, are most strongly attracted for marriage and for a long term relationship, an attraction that anime fans call “moe”, a desire to cherish, protect, care for, guide, supervise, and impregnate, to girls with the longest fertile window in front of them, about thirteen to seventeen. and are less attracted to girls the older they get, with moe ending at about twenty eight to thirty. At late twenties, early thirties, women discover that though still fertile, and though all men regardless of age still want to fuck them, no man, regardless of age, wants to stick around, except for weirdoes and the truly desperate. This comes as a huge surprise and a shock.

While a woman’s value for sex, her sexual beauty, keeps rising and rising till her mid twenties, her value as a long term partner, her moe, her value as a bride, starts at around thirteen, maxes at around fifteen, sixteen, or seventeen, and by eighteen has diminished significantly. Hence the joke in the “Beverly Hillbillies” that Ellen was past her prime, at about eighteen, and her elderly mother’s explanation to her that marriage is preceded by your future husband bullying you in school, so she needs to attend school to get bullied.

Males who call themselves straight but are attracted to women beyond fertile age, or girls before fertile age, are not straight.

Anon says:

“maxes at around fifteen, sixteen, or seventeen, and by eighteen has diminished significantly.“
This mean , that marriage should be at age fourteen , fifteen max
What the appropriate age for man? nineteen , twenty.
Of course he should be by that time have a job he apprenticed into , which mean he need at least eight to ten years to become good at it to get paid for it.
So he has to start when he is at least ten , eleven. So by twenty he is good.
That just show the people who decided that puberty start at eighteens were evil.
And so the people who invented “child labor” and industrial education system.
All are designed to suppress fertility and delays marriage.

We already have data that show how harmful divorce is. And daycare. And even schooling itself, compared to home schooling. But this data never seems to change the government’s policies or even change anyone’s minds. It seems we are facing a question of will, not of merit.

Jim says:

In order to restore marriage, cannot restrict divorce except we first restrict consent to sex to once and forever.

The Cominator says:

“In order to restore marriage, cannot restrict divorce”
???
Wouldn’t it be essential to ban divorce in all but the most extreme circumstances? Being very very anti divorce (though they allow the annulment loophole) is one of the few things the papist church generally gets right.

Jim says:

Have to first restore marital debt, the obligation of each to sexually gratify the other, and the right of husbands to physically discipline their wives. Without that, restrictions on divorce, fornication, and adultery are absurd.

Within living memory, within my memory, the concept of marital “rape” was absurd. Sexual duty has to once more become a thing, before we can deal with any of the other problems. What has been redefined as “rape” was thought of as the wife being wicked, not the man being wicked.

If marital “rape” is a thing, marriage is not a thing.

The Cominator says:

Of course, but a restoration of marriage 1.0 would imply all that was done together.

Jim says:

> a restoration of marriage 1.0 would imply all that was done together.

The legal regime could be restored by fiat in one night, but actually getting people to internalise the new order and get ground level enforcement of the new order is going to take time.

And I think it would go down easier if the key initial step — the restoration of marital debt and wifely obedience was done first.

FrankNorman says:

Another thing, I believe, is that in real life there are circumstances in which a marriage has de facto ended, and that pretending this is not the case is living in cloud-cuckoo-land.

Example: A few years into the marriage, the wife decides that she’s bored and unhappy, and so runs off to become the sexual plaything of a biker gang, or something.
Well, according the Apostle Paul, a marriage is ended by desertion. If the woman does something like that, the man no longer has any obligations to her.

(Jim might say that the husband does have a duty: to gather a group of allies with rifles, and go hunt her down and kill her, along with the entire biker gang, but normies are not ready for that conversation.)

Daddy Scarebucks says:

(Jim might say that the husband does have a duty: to gather a group of allies with rifles, and go hunt her down and kill her, along with the entire biker gang, but normies are not ready for that conversation.)

They aren’t ready, you say? Funny, I could have sworn that the punishment for adultery was spelled out quite clearly in the bible–and not in one of the obscure passages, either.

I don’t think the problem is Joe Normie not knowing what to do with a cheating whore, or even lacking the balls to do it. The problem is that Joe Normie expects to end up in federal pound me in the ass prison for even whispering the possibility of administering the biblical remedy.

Simply take away the totalitarian terror regime, and those husbands won’t need a whole lot of convincing. Go one step further and have the regime support biblical punishment, i.e. with explicit immunity for the husbands and maybe the occasional public stoning, and they’ll be on board faster than you can say “cuckold”.

The Cominator says:

Well the part I’ve pushed back on restoring rapidly was that while adultery should be punished the punishment as humiliating as it is and as natural as killing over it is, should be short of death.

Not all marriage 1.0s are going to be happy, and I just don’t think marriage 1.0 works if you allow divorce (other than maybe extreme circumstances like one spouse flees the country or is sent to a penal labor camp for 20 years). But I do think you have to have some low key unofficial tolerance for people to go outside sometimes.

Jim says:

> “Muh based right wing” “jews” are basically planting the seeds of stochastic terrorism to have tucker’s head.

This is the split that I predicted between Thermidor, Maga, and reaction.

Thermidor always breaks right or left until one man has total power.

So far, Tucker’s head remains attached.

Daddy Scarebucks says:

Whatever “The Gasman” says is usually the inversion of reality, and that seems to hold true here. It is Tucker and Fuentes who’ve been ramping up the joo joo joo rhetoric to absurd levels, probably because Tucker is a fed and Fuentes is at least compromised, if not also a fed. Once a spook, always a spook, and we’ve seen their shill script here a zillion and one times.

The Thermidorean Jewish faction is alarmed, obviously, not only at the rhetoric itself but because it is sort of working, at least on the coalition’s mongrel faction that comprises most of Nick’s audience. And if it were only directed at Jews, I might be tempted to say “not our problem”, but it is also anti-Trump, anti-Maga, anti-Thermidor, etc. They will attack anyone and everyone on the right because their goal is simply to fracture the coalition, and Israel is simply a convenient wedge issue.

They are just using the same old “don’t punch right” trick of the First Trump Era to try to cow important figures like Vance into submission. However, they are moderately more successful this time around, probably because they are being better funded and better managed by remnants of the old regime, and were more patient this time around it, working to get themselves fully embedded in the coalition and building significant influence before blasting out the shill scripts.

But this is why you need to bring a faith, which I’ve always agreed with despite my protests that it is out of context in Yarvin’s case. Neither of these bickering factions should “win”. If the Jewish faction wins, then Thermidor breaks left; if the mongrel faction wins, they’ll put on a clown show and lose legitimately to the left. Thermidor/Maga needs to install a serious reactionary or Christian Nationalist faction in power to break them both; that is the only way to keep winning.

Re the problems the Trump admin is having now

Jobs are still too scarce, housing is still far too expensive. The immigration has accomodated the thermidor/neocons/congress/the courts too much rather than aiming at one man and absolute rule.

On housing there needs to come down an outright total federal ban on zoning throughout the United States combined with greatly accelerated deportations. I would also like to see mortgages only be legal for the construction of new houses but illegal for the purchase of existing houses which in the future must be paid for in cash.

On jobs not sure how to fix everything in the age of AI but in addition to deportations it is now a dire necessity to stop all preferences for women so they begin being booted out of the workforce in all but their traditional professions.

Adam says:

Due to the difficulty in constructing new houses, and a shortage of skills and labor, rent seeking is at an all time high.

Renting should be similar to low paying entry level jobs. People need to own their homes and it is good that they do. But you cannot often buy a house, even if you could afford the mortgage payment.

One possibility is to restrict certain rentals as rent to own only, or after say one year. That the landlord must sell to the tenant if the tenant can afford it.

I really don’t know the implications of such a policy but it seems like it would do away with hoarding and just the general rent seeking mentality surrounding home ownership.

The Cominator says:

One immediate and probably politically possible thing to get through is as I said an outright federal ban on zoning throughout the United States. And no I don’t care if rich leftists in California get bombed by niggers etc. as a result in fact it would be a very good thing if they were forced to live in the real world.

Jimmy says:

This tickles my brain. I suspect that the solution to the HQ is different depending on locale, as the form of the problem is different in different places.

I hope to come back and say more about this, as it’s something I have thought about a lot. I’ll say this now though:

Where I am, it’s possible for a young white couple to buy or rent something that would do a small family for many years on blue collar money, but only in places that aren’t safe for a young white couple to live. It would be possible to build, but zoning, hoas, and building codes don’t allow low cost construction.

The civil rights act and the planning, building, and zoning departments hate white babies.

Usury is another element. It’s hard to tell which is the cause and which is the effect.

To me, the HQ is a biggest problem than the WQ. There are lots of old type marriages brimming over with well behaved Christian children in my circles, but nobody’s children have a pathway to setting up housekeeping.

Pax Imperialis says:

Another day in wiemerica’s kulturekampf. Here’s two recent shows that I believe demonstrate the current state of affairs well.

Boots (Netflix) is a gay show that came out about a gay Marine recruit at boot camp in the 90s. It gets nearly everything wrong about entry level training and the Marine Corps culture and ethos, and was unintentionally hilarious in how detached from reality it was until it turned into gay porn. Had all the typical progressive tropes like whites being bad guys (unless weak/effeminate/gay/etc) and browns/blacks being good.

Marines (also Netflix) is a documentary that showcases 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit training (but really a long recruitment ad) that mostly shows strong men getting to do manly action things, and doesn’t shy away from how some of them love violence. Devil dogs want to get some. Still has some headscratchers like a fat female officer who says “There’s always that underlying tension is everybody ready to fight” or a physically tiny female officer who’s in command of a scout sniper platoon. Well clearly… thermidor is trying to go back, but back to what? They know the current situation is unsustainable, but aren’t willing yet to fully break right.

On a related, and worrying note, the documentary shows outdated tactics. I don’t think any Navy boat would be able to get that close to shore in order to do the type of amphibious landing as depicted unless they’re taking undefended islands far, far away from “near peer” threats.

The Cominator says:

Trump saying we don’t have talent here; not good. Unless he reverses course radically now his base is gone. He better have those elections “fortified”.

Jim says:

Trump has always sang two songs on H1B

He has cracked down on the abuse of H1B for cheap dumb slave labor.

Because the H1B process is massively stacked with corrupt dot Indians, it is very hard to hire competent dot Indian engineers, so in practice very hard to use for its justification, importing excellence, and in practice one almost always winds up importing cheap dumb slave labor.

Pax Imperialis says:

Well, it’s true. The skilled labor pool is completely fucked. Government side of military acquisitions for example had a median ~57, and that was 5 years ago. My contacts there say it’s gotten worse. It wasn’t hard work, but it needed a basic understanding of engineering principles, mindset, and maybe just an above average intelligence. Forget about building missiles for the military (or even batteries) as Trump was talking about, the entire process of procuring them is broken and getting worse.

Here’s another example, over ten years ago I remember hearing from engineers working at Hoover Dam that they were having to pay 250,000 dollars to retired workers just to come consult them on the weekends on how the dam actually works.

Or another, median age of Power Engineers, the guys who keep the lights on, is in the mid to late 50s and no one, and I mean no one I knew all throughout my education pipeline ever expressed interest in going into that field. They all wanted to be coders. Is it any wonder major states like California are faced with energy crisis because they can’t expand the energy sector let alone maintain it?

Or another, the median age of the American farmer is 58, and that was in 2022. Farming isn’t simple, you can’t just shove seeds into the ground and get good yields. Declining yields have only been offset by tech and other industrial inputs that have offset the brain drain, but should trends continue we’ll see declining output in our life time.

Shit, name just about any field that requires technical know how and you’ll see median ages have climbed and climbed since the 1950s. Welfare and modern education has completely devoured the workforce.

Skilled labor is vertical. If an industry is undermined at the basics, steel for example, eventually you’ll find you can’t make transistors either (South Korea’s Park Chung Hee was right, “Steel is national power”). This is because understanding how to make transistors requires an understanding of what the earlier stages of the supply chain can and can’t do and provide. Here’s a good example, in college I had a project that requires making a maze searching robot with integrated circuits, in theory just a programing problem, but in reality also a chip problem. The manufacturer of the chips I bought were produced in China and the documentation was badly translated, so imagine my pain when trying to program according to “moon phase” or even just ‘wire’ the right I/O pins.

This is the reason why Musk has been so successful, his businesses are the most vertically integrated engineering projects since the Titans of Industry, which allows for quick turn around for problems to be solved in both directions of the supply chain… your skilled labor has to be able to talk to each other up and down the supply chain to get results, which is completely illegal under anti-trust laws. i.e. I’m convinced Windows has become increasingly shitty because Microsoft is just a software company in contrast to Apple… not that Apple is faring all that better, reliance on foreign chips has been degrading them as well.

This isn’t something you just “reverse course” on. It requires solutions that are very much coup complete, and right now Trump needs to keep everything from exploding just enough to survive getting to coup complete. Even then, results are at least a generation in the making. South Korean and Japanese industrialization happened in a generation, but such breakneck speed was only possible with a work ethic that is not present in America, so don’t expect similar time for results. Apprenticeship takes time, and the few remaining experts can only take on so many students at a time.

Pax Imperialis says:

In China, a software dev who realizes a different chip design would work better can walk next block over in some of their cities and get a prototype in under 24 hours. There’s not a single place in America where that’s possible. It fucking took me a month to get a very basic PCB design manufactured and delivered to me in America when using domestic companies who prided themselves on being the quickest. There’s a reason why FPV drone component market is dominated by China, along with much of high tech, all engineering is propositioned on prototyping, and if doing that effectively is mostly illegal, expect slow dev times and a trend towards expertise loss because the less the supply chain can communicate up and down, the weaker the ‘muscle’ gets.

Pax Imperialis says:

I’m ranting, sorry Jim for spamming the reply, but this gets me fucking angry. I’m convinced firmware exists partly because the difficulty of prototyping IC in America. Because of the iterative process required to work out hardware problems requires iterating lots of prototypes, which simply isn’t possible in America, it’s far easier to push out chips with defects and try to find creative software solutions to patch over the issues.

But this mentality has infected industry at large, once you stop practicing prototyping lower in the supply chain, the cultural attitude vertically integrates at all levels. That’s how we got Just-In-Time (JIT) Manufacturing which in reality means Just-Insane-Trash like the F-35 which can barely fly all for the low cost of a trillion dollars. Fuck, they committed the most basic sort of engineering mistake, the type of mistake a junior engineer will make with CAD designs that in theory works, but the machinist can’t actually make or can make but is completely impractical and can’t in reality work.

Ever notice how ever since major Game developers stopped investing in and making their own game engines, they have gotten increasingly bad? Unreal Engine blur now makes everything look like shit and inability to optimize specifically for needs of the specific game because it’s a one size fits all solution means you need some really powerful PC hardware to run it. i.e Witcher 3 is now a fucking decade old and still looks better than many triple A games produced in Unreal this year.

The Cominator says:

It doesn’t matter the companies have to train Americans end of story no more immigrant labor. The economy is too shitty for immigrant labor to be tolerated we’re behind Asia anyway so don’t tell me fucking subhuman scamming jeets are saving us. Trump will lose the midterms badly and be impeached if he doesn’t not only stop H1Bs but start expelling them in very large numbers.

Pax Imperialis says:

Using H1B is kicking the can down the road, it buys time for other pressing problems.

Yes, H1B has been abused to hell and back, but the solution is coup complete. The problem isn’t wining the election, the problem is the election. If that principle problem isn’t solved, forget everything else. Right not Trump just needs to prevent the economic system from imploding, not fix it. Right now Trump needs to fix the political problem more than anything else.

But this is besides the points I posted above. The “companies” can’t train Americans in nearly the required numbers anytime soon because they themselves don’t have the skilled labor to pass down the knowledge. It’s all forgotten in the retirement home or 6 feet under at this point. A bit hyperbole, but I strongly suspect you don’t understand just how much American businesses have been finacialized away from actual production to more or less paper assets that largely depend on arbitrating foreign production and skilled labor into the domestic market.

Are you really suggesting Apple teach Americans to build iPhones? They don’t even know how to build them. They only know how to design with components others design and build them which is a very different thing.

Skilled labor doesn’t just appear out of thin air, and it will take a long time and a lot of investment to get back up and running along with destroying the welfare incentives that have destroyed labor force participation rates.

Pax Imperialis says:

TC, what share of the global wafer foundry market does American companies have? When you get that answer back to me, please explain how American companies are going to train Americans to produce the fundamental component of chips… heck, tell me how American companies are going to teach Americans to produce the components that produce the wafers in the first place.

The Cominator says:

Supposedly 5%. Look use Taiwanese Japanese Chinese to train heritage Americans but absolutely no Indians and India can’t produce chips either. Use something other than H1B visas, pick the few people we need give them an executive order visa pay them whatever contingent on Americans being able to do it themselves but absolutely nothing that Indians can scam. Trump can’t fuck with his base on this and if certain tech companies will collapse without Indians (likely nothing good or productive) thats too bad. The collapse will be worse if the left ever gets back into power and in the absence of economic recovery Trump’s voters will stay home or defect if Indians aren’t deported so Americans can take their jobs. Total Indian exclusion.

You aren’t racist enough against Indians, you may think you are but you’re not.

Pax Imperialis says:

>Supposedly 5%.

Exact stats are really hard to come by because of how finacialized everything is. American companies on paper have 50% of the semiconductor market, but when you start digging into that number you see it is revenue, not actual production. For example the iPhone has about 25% market share but 85% of it is using parts made in China, South Korea, or India… and of those parts probably have sub-parts also made in those countries as well.

So I have to wonder how much of that production is actually domestic. America’s semiconductor Assembly, Test, and Packaging (ATP) market share is so small I can’t even find consistent stats on it. It’s somewhere around 1% of global market.

>Look use Taiwanese Japanese Chinese to train heritage Americans

I agree with this, but we’ve been trying for the better part of this decade. TSMC Arizona started planning way back in 2020. At 65 billion dollar investment, they already fell behind the tech curve and are now dumping another 100 billion to catch back up. The entire process has been rife with problems from losing 440 million dollars in 2024, to delays, to all the non-Chinese speaking workers leaving because apparently meetings are in Mandarin, to lawsuits, and general culture clash over work ethic. America plans to be chip independent by 2032, but I find this is as likely as getting pit production in Los Alamos getting up on time to be just as likely (hint, they’re still behind schedule and that’s an all American crew). A 2032 timeline is all very moot when there’s the 2028 democracy problem.

>no Indians

Trump has been very clear he is against H1B abuse. He hasn’t been defending call centers. The problem he faces is trying to use a bureaucracy to enforce H1B in a way that he wants it enforced.

>pick the few people we need

This isn’t a few people problem. The semiconductor industry is just one example. Everything from basic steel production to ship production is horribly dilapidated. Going to need a lot if we don’t want a sudden apparent drop in living standards. Compare pictures of America’s manufacturing hubs of the 1950s to today. My great grandmother used to work in a factory as an older kid 16-18. It was the typical line of work for kids back then. Today they work in McDonald’s. The workforce has completely switched over to service industry for entry level jobs. The knowledge base is geriatric. Re-orientating the workforce back to production is going to take time.

>You aren’t racist enough against Indians, you may think you are but you’re not.

You’re the one who keeps bringing them up. I’ve said nothing in particular about that group in my previous posts. It’s clear to me Trumps intent is to get the Japanese, Taiwanese, and South Koreans on board with re-industrializing America and again, his intent is to keep H1B open enough to allow this to happen. No where have I seen him trying to get the Indians involved with this, and it’s clear he’s been trying to close down H1B to everyone not on that list.

The Cominator says:

The problem here is its not just my opinion he is going to have mass desertions, the non boomer right REALLY hates Indians. Trump needs to make it clear that he also hates them and is deporting them. Oh and fuck any trade deals or cooperation with India or any foreign policy shit that gets in the way of this, just get them out foreign policy be damned.

Pax Imperialis says:

>Today they work in McDonald’s

Correction, that was when I was growing up. When Covid hit, fast food industry became dominated by older retirement age people, so now even entry level service jobs are hard to come by. Do young people even work these days? Or are they all becoming streamers/dropping money on e-girls with their mom’s CC?

What I’ve been trying to explain for the better part of multiple posts is that there is a general work culture malaise among the youth that is going to be very, very hard to fix on top of all the other systemic problems with the training and education pipeline. This is going to take time.

Pax Imperialis says:

>he is going to have mass desertions

That doesn’t matter if the democracy problem is solved, and if it isn’t, not going to matter anyways.

The Cominator says:

He also said he doesn’t want half the colleges to close when Trump should be wanting ALL THE COLLEGES to close. Given all this recent infuriating idiocy (50 year mortgages) Trump is not going to be able to “fortify” the midterms which means he can’t have his base desert him and now his base not deserting him means he is going to need to do a dramatic and massive deportation of Indians, for most of his long supporters its now a matter of honor that the administration cave completely to our chimping out against Indian immigration. There is time to course correct for him but not that much time… lets not sugarcoat what a disaster hes been lately.

So whatever solution to insourcing chips will be… it will have to be done in the context of shutting down H1Bs or America will go outright communist very very soon.

Pax Imperialis says:

Using H1B as a tool to help return industry to America is the “correct” method. On paper it should only be used for the right people. In reality it’s corrupt and broken and getting a lot of the wrong people. Trump should have been making deals directly with governments for their workforce instead of trying to use a deep state tool…

But H1B is not the reason we’re at danger of communism. Yarvin correctly points out America has always been a communist state. The problem is deeply domestic, and if anything my one big complaint is that Trump has been fishing in the rubicon yet again.

Look, passion is good, but we only have so much of it. Making a huge deal over dots when there are significantly more pressing issues, to the extent of not supporting Trump, is throwing the baby out with the water.

Contaminated NEET says:

Trump is a boomer, and he’s 120 years old. His brain fully calcified in 1995, and it is incapable of laying down new long-term memories or accepting new ideas. Take your eyes off him and he reverts to a 1990s liberal. Even if you could somehow get through to him what time it is, it would be gone by tomorrow morning. We’re headed for the rocks, so brace for impact.

Jim says:

Well, it could be that Trump is the wrong man for this side of the Rubicon. But he just appointed some good men for this side of the Rubicon, notably Pete Hegseth, which suggests he might be the right man after all.

And right now, he is sending troops into the cities. Where they cannot do much till he declares the insurrection act, but he has been muttering the words “Insurrection act”, which means, “unleash Pete”.

Wulfgar Thundercock III says:

After his comment the other day on skilled people, Trump can get fucked. I am done defending him, I am not going to support him, I am going to sit aside and watch whatever plays out. Hopefully the Democrats impeach the bastard and humiliate him again. Maybe the next president will learn.

I have an engineering degree and I cannot find a job in my field because of the HR/DEI commisars on one hand and the Indian ethnic mafia on the other. You know why I and so many other Americans do not have those important skills? Because they replaced us with fucking Indians. So we either got the degree and the debt and never got seriously considered for the job, or we realized there was no point and never pursued it in the first place.

Jim says:

> After [Trump’s] comment the other day on skilled people, Trump can get fucked. I am done defending him, I am not going to support him, I am going to sit aside and watch whatever plays out.

You are taking an excessively cynical interpretation of his quite innocuous comment.

Here is how an immigration lawyer, hat tip The Cominator interprets it:L

Anna K. Gorisch
@AnnaGorisch
I cannot take this anymore, neither can my clients. Make it stop.

If you plan to end it, lay out your proposals and be kind enough to allow us to plan. Let us sort out how people get back, and give the immigration attorneys you so desperately wish would lose everything and die find a new career.

I’m a heritage American. Does that matter at all? And I never helped anyone break the law, I help them follow it.

In or out. Legal or not. Enough. Pick one. My career will die, I will be homeless, my rescue dog will have to go back to foster care, and MAGA will throw a parade.

I have no idea why ANY immigrant would choose to stay here in the face of this shit.

Die bitch die. I promise we will take care of your dog.

The Cominator says:

I’ll support him if he course corrects but otherwise I’m not wasting my energy and unless he course corrects the left has won god help us all, may the holiness cycle be stopped in an early phase…

Wulfgar Thundercock III says:

Until I can get callbacks and interviews for an engineering job and stop getting passed over for work for women and minorities, I just don’t care. I do not have a wife, a family, or any of the things that make me care about the future and/or not burning the system to the ground. Until I stop getting fucked by business and government using AI(Actually Indians) to push me out of the job market, I am not going to spend any more time nor pay the social price for defending him. He can get Indians to defend his policies, because we mere Americans apparently lack the skills.

Pax Imperialis says:

I understand the struggle. I had great difficulty getting hired for an engineering job too even with a masters, and I’m technically a “minority”.

Army Material Command is desperately looking for a few good engineers. Most of the guys there are white. Nearly all the women are secretaries or other admin so there is little to no feminine drama. They do everything from C5ISR engineering to weapons testing (get to blow shit up). I can point you to specific job listings on USAjobs if you want (post a disposable email address). Listed compensation is deceptively low. What shows up is base pay, but that doesn’t include locality pay and other benefits. Listings that indicate 50-75% travel mean you’ll be getting additional TDY money which can be 2k a month and up to 4.5k in tax free money. Entry level is GS-05 or GS-07 depending on bachelors or masters or relevant equivalent, but they’ll get you to GS-11 in just 2 to 4 years which is solid 100k before TDY or benefits. GS-13 in just another 2 years or so which takes you to 130k. You’ll work with a lot of contractors who are prior military which is really fun. Again, nearly all white.

The downside is a lot of damn bureaucracy and death by paperwork which will make you raise you eyebrows at how much it fucks over the tax payer. Guess who writes your performance eval? It’s you. Of course your supervisor has to sign off on it, but all the GS-14s I dealt with were pretty chill as long as you didn’t go full retard.

I want to help you, I can tell you’re a smart guy and it sucks to know it isn’t being rewarded.

Wulfgar Thundercock III says:

I did the military thing once before, and I am not eager to repeat it, even as a civilian. Plus, I probably burned too many bridges on the way out. Without going into specifics, I made sure I said enough on the way out that I could not get my clearance renewed, just in case I ever got desperate enough to reapply.

Pax Imperialis says:

I won’t sugarcoat the situation.

Almost all the engineering jobs left that are still open to whites are ones that require some level of security clearance. You may have better luck in Asia. They can be surprisingly open to a white guy who doesn’t know the language.

Jim says:

> made sure I said enough on the way out that I could not get my clearance renewed, just in case I ever got desperate enough to reapply.

You might be surprised. There have been changes, and will be bigger changes.

You are being irrationally pessimistic about the new regime. Irrational optimism gets you further than rational pessimism, and way further than irrational pessimism. Hope is a virtue, despair a sin.

Wulfgar Thundercock III says:

I am not being irrationally pessimistic, because my standard of living has not meaningfully changed. I still do not have a wife, a house, or a decent job. I have received no benefit for my support of Trump and have only ever paid a social price because of it. If he wants my support, fuck him, pay me.

Jim says:

> I still do not have a wife, a house, or a decent job. I have received no benefit for my support of Trump

Well if you give up on applying for a decent job and hitting on chicks, not going to get any of that.Do you expect a wife and a decent job to show up on your doorstep?

Chicks have shown up on my doorstep once in a while, very rarely, but only because of preselection. They were cyberstalking me and girls that I had connection with.

We are all trying to help you. What field is your degree in, and do you have any recent real world experience in the field? Without doxing yourself, what are you doing to obtain a wife, a house, and a decent job?

Wulfgar Thundercock III says:

I said I was giving up on Trump, not giving up on life. I was focusing on moving up in my current job but that didn’t happen, so I am going to start looking for jobs again. I was talking to a girl, but she turned out to be pretty severely damaged and I decided not to pursue, but I’ve had a hard time finding women because all the decent ones I have met are taken already. The house situation is on hold until I get a better job because of how bad the market is right now. None of these things have improved for me under Trump, and unless he does something about them, I’m checking out and keeping my head down.

Jim says:

> I was talking to a girl, but she turned out to be pretty severely damaged and I decided not to pursue

Nothing is hotter than preselection. The worst of girls is useful as a pivot to a better girl.

Plus, no women are severely damaged psychologically. A bad woman, like a bad dog, is as good as her owner. You just have to put your foot down. Some women need to be stood on more firmly than others.

Daddy Scarebucks says:

Or another, median age of Power Engineers, the guys who keep the lights on, is in the mid to late 50s and no one, and I mean no one I knew all throughout my education pipeline ever expressed interest in going into that field. They all wanted to be coders.

There was in fact a time in recent memory when engineering, and power engineering in particular, was considered an exciting track to be in. I want to say around 2000-2010, but take the exact chronology with a grain of salt.

What happened was that on graduation, all the jobs had evaporated, and what few jobs were remaining were paying garbage salaries. More than anything else, it was the environmental movement that killed the EE profession. Power engineering had become, as you yourself say, about “keeping the lights on” instead of designing nuclear plants and other cool stuff, because no new capacity was being built anywhere and it was suddenly a much smaller industry. Diversity hiring (Jeets especially) probably didn’t help either, but the natural collapse of supply followed the very artificial collapse of demand.

And it turns out that a lot of electrical engineers have a decent affinity for code, so they went into software, either conventional or embedded. Maybe in your time all the kids just wanted to code as freshmen, but I think quite a few readers will remember when the real engineers looked down on the Comp Sci kids as either layabouts or goofy math nerds.

I know how you feel re: the supply no longer existing, but when we are talking about labor, supply always chases demand, not the other way around. The supply will come back if demand does, i.e. if we kill off the green blob completely because no self-respecting dude wants to work on a fucking wind farm. It may take a generation or two, but it will happen eventually. Moreover, it IS happening, what with Bill Gates of all people penning his confession that we actually need reliable power more than anything else.

Ever notice how ever since major Game developers stopped investing in and making their own game engines, they have gotten increasingly bad?

Not really. Unreal Engine spawned a lot of amazing games/series including BioShock, Arkham, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Borderlands and Fortnite. Once you add in Unity, CryEngine, Source and older tech like XNA, it becomes very hard to find popular PC games that use custom engines. They do certainly exist, e.g. Ubisoft wrote their own for the first (and best) Assassins Creed games IIRC, but they’re hardly the norm.

It’s true that when you track the progression of a single company, like the aforementioned Ubisoft, you notice a sharp decline in quality when they give up on their own in-house engine and switch to something off the shelf, but I think you are confusing the symptom with the disease. They make these decisions to stop developing their own technology long after they’ve lost the technical and management talent to keep maintaining and expanding it.

It was a combination of DEI practices and MBA management that killed game development. DEI, specifically women and troons, started to turn the profession female-coded and deviant-coded, with the Zoe Quinn incident being a major pivot point; now there are legions of feminized “game devs” who think it’s simply a matter of putting pretty pictures on the screen with some trivial narrative or mechanical excuse to connect them together, and once any industry becomes female-coded, all the best (male) talent checks out.

MBAs, or we can maybe say financialization, also helped this along, by making it an immensely more profitable business model to sell barebones games at a loss and churn out expensive add-on content for the whales, in addition to other so-called dark patterns. Compare Elden Ring, probably the most popular conventional game of all time, which is believed to have earned about $2B in revenue over its entire lifetime, with Genshin Impact, which is literally just a gacha game with flashy graphics, and was apparently making $1B every six months at one point. Companies like Paradox have also leaned heavily into this model, with titles like Crusader Kings and Stellaris nominally selling for $30-$40 but coming out to over $400 when you add all “DLCs”.

I can’t really object to game devs wanting to make money from their games, but there is a difference between needing to eat and wanting to squeeze every cent out of customers, and the industry is now in such a state where those who simply need to eat (and have reasonably good ideas/execution) have a hard time actually earning enough to eat because they are competing in a hyper-saturated market that is already being squeezed for every cent by the MBAs.

Anyway, the tech is definitely not the problem here; the engines are not the problem. As usual, it’s industry entryists who have caused most of the problems. Get them out, and we’d probably see a similar surge of innovation. Or maybe, like the capeshit movie genre, its short-term potential really has been totally exhausted.

Your Uncle Bob says:

In the physical industry I know the best (not coding, not chips, admittedly) H1Bs in general and dot-Indians in particular are exactly and specifically what companies do instead of training new hires and passing down knowledge. So when Trump comes along announcing “good news goys, to make sure you’re trained and institutional knowledge is passed down, here’s even more jeets and H1Bs” the only question I or my normie coworkers have is whether Trump is scamming us or if Trump is getting scammed. Because the predictable and inevitable outcome isn’t American workers getting trained, it’s American workers getting further displaced, and further disrupting skill transfer.

muh kids these days don’t want to work

As an outcome of market pressures, sure. But I assert only true as an outcome of market pressures.

But the secret is, you just pay them, and they come. I proved once that, for production work, you don’t have to outbid everybody, you just find the lowest comparable wage in your area, beat it by an even dollar, and even if that’s lower than your highest paying competitor you still get applications coming out your ears. The biggest problem is getting it past corporate and HR, because they both know full well you get a trickle of applications at any wage.

I’m sure the number will be different for engineers, but the principle applies.

Pax, Cominator is not the problem here, Gasman is not the problem (this time, I don’t have a read on him in general), even I am not the problem for chiming in and contradicting you. We few online naysayers are not the wreckers but for whom you’d have your utopia. It’s a loser in the real world, both politically and practically. The sooner Trump and team recognize this and cut the millstone from around their necks the better.

Daddy Scarebucks says:

I remember it was big news for one news cycle back in the 2010s when one of the west-coast farms “discovered” that they could just offer the prevailing in-demand wage and suddenly they’d get a ton of local applicants and not need the migrant labor.

I’m not making that up; I think it was Gilroy Garlic and I think the wage was about $15/hr, but not 100% positive about either detail since it was several years ago now. It really was in the news and it really was treated as some stunning revelation.

Pax does have a point that highly-skilled labor is harder to obtain simply by raising the wage, because it is naturally scarcer. I’m guessing Elon Musk pays his rocket engineers very generously, but there just aren’t that many competent rocket engineers, and it is going to be the same with fab engineers if (or hopefully when) we try to onshore chip-making. But the H-1B in particular is too easy to abuse, and has too much political baggage. It has the stain of jeets, and that stain is never going to come out.

If we find the next Werner von Braun out there, then just give him a green card on condition that he helps train the next generation; no need for a temporary category. My experience with the East Asian engineers is that, while they can be highly competent at their own jobs, they tend to suck at passing their skills onto white people because of their insularity and tunnel vision. White people, on average, really like to ask “why” and Chinese engineers, on average, are profoundly disinterested in the “why”, so while they can sometimes complement each other well on a team if they both already have the skills, it is not a good training environment for Americans.

Everybody wants solutions right now but the sad truth is that it took several generations to deindustrialize, and will take several generations to reindustrialize. Yes, there is going to be a painful period where demand for certain labor is much higher than the local supply, and the temptation will be even stronger to import foreigners; China went through the same thing after Mao, Russia went through it after Stalin, and anyone who thinks America is not suffering the same kind of economic devastation (even if we’ve so far avoided literal killing fields) is living in a dream world. Yet if we want to ever have any hope of fixing the labor problem, rather than just kicking the can down the road, then we’ll have to nut up and resist the temptation to outsource everything that feels too hard.

Pax Imperialis says:

I’ll put it like this, Trump’s base may very well disagree with some finer points of his policy. No one is perfect. But if it comes between supporting an imperfect Trump or leftists who want you dead, your women whored out, your sons castrated, trans, and sodomized, well I think the choice is pretty obvious.

The Cominator says:

Nobody is going to vote for Democrats they’ll just stay home but the Democrats will still then win they have enough fake votes and NPCs for that. Trump has to take an action both sweeping and dramatic against Indians in the US immediately. Either that or he needs to figure out a way whereby he can kill leftists and take their money and give it to his supporters. But its now or never if he can’t pull a rabbit out of a hat in a week this is his hurricane Katrina.

Milosevic says:

Calm down lol

Neurotoxin says:

Cominator, either you’re spazzing out or there’s some context that I’m missing here.

When did dot-Indians become the new Jesuits?

The Cominator says:

They didn’t but dot Indians have ruined American tech, they even more then trying to bring in women are why it no longer functions as it once did (the only other major cause comparable is the lack of vertical integration). Nobody else does wholesale ethnic nepotism in other peoples companies. I don’t care as much about the other stuff with them that would make them unpleasant but ethnic nepotism and fraud in engineering and technology, the engines of future growth for the economy make dots a cancer which has to be expelled or it will kill us.

alf says:

Trump is still attaching a 100k pricetag on every H1b visa. Border’s still closed, Alligator Alcatraz is still up. Let’s not get our panties in a twist over Don’s daily crazy press moment.

The Cominator says:

The 100k thing doesn’t go into effect until next years lottery and who knows the way hes talking. The point is this was INFURIATING to his non boomer supporters especially on the heels of the pro real estate bubble 50 year mortgage bullshit. I want mortgages BANNED for buying existing homes. Loans should only be for the creation of new capital housing stock but not allowed for buying new housing.

Daddy Scarebucks says:

I want mortgages BANNED for buying existing homes.

So it’s the “spazzing” thing then.

I can’t even guess what problem you think this would solve, but it is never going to happen. Not in a regular housing market, and not in our parasitic housing market where construction costs are tripled. You’re proposing to effectively eliminate the only viable path to home ownership for the middle class. Great hill for Trump to die on, superb choice, will be wildly popular with his constituents and allies. 🙃

I think most of us agree that a 50-year mortgage is retarded; it is the Poe’s Law extreme for maturity transformation, well past the point at which it is totally impossible to assess counterparty risk or set a realistic interest rate, and from a social-relations point of view it starts to look a whole lot like indentured servitude. But from there to saying “ban all mortgages” is just… deranged, unless the bone you’re picking is how the debt is structured rather than the basic concept of a home loan.

And it is “ban all mortgages”, period; your caveat of “for existing homes” doesn’t even make sense from a technical point of view, because a new construction loan is just a different type of loan that converts into a normal fixed-rate mortgage once the construction is done, i.e. it is simply an “existing home mortgage” with some other stuff glued to the front. So even if the Trump admin wanted to implement your suggestion, which is asinine, they couldn’t, because it would entail rewriting all the laws and banking regulations, which belongs to the legislative branch, not executive.

(Claim normality bias, dictatorial override and “you can just do things” if you want, but even if you bypass the “constitutionality” issue, it doesn’t reduce the scope of the project. It would be a massive undertaking, with benefits that no one other than yourself seems to understand.)

Stick to what you’re good at, bruh. You want to fix the housing market in Florida in particular, start by lobbying your own state–and yes, it is a state issue–to stop requiring special permits and licenses for every goddamn thing including drywall and even paint. And then get them to ditch FEMA “protection”, which has never helped an actual homeowner in a crisis but does add a thousand pages of new regulations that all new construction must adhere to. That is why Florida is littered with empty lots and run-down abandoned husks, because the land itself is cheap but to actually build anything useful on it is damn near impossible unless you have either the right connections or a huge pile of cash.

The Cominator says:

Florida does more construction that most states. You are right about regulations but wrong about mortgages at least half of the reason for sky high housing is people can buy them on subsidized credit (much like tuition) and also that when prices were finely set to truly crash and left them as bagholders the government bailed them out. Nothing but evil has come from the mortgage system prices would be reasonable if people had to pay cash, and also the incentive to get rid of regulations that keep construction expensive would be stronger. Yes by all means keep hedge funds from buying homes as well.

Daddy Scarebucks says:

at least half of the reason for sky high housing is people can buy them on subsidized credit

Sure, but who said anything about “subsidized”?

By all means, get rid of the subsidization; get rid of the “affordable housing”, and get rid of the rules that still, even today, privilege non-whites with poor credit over white men with good credit. Kill the FIRE economy with fire. That would be a winning issue, politically and economically.

Loans secured by collateral, which all home loans are, do not distort markets intrinsically. You can always cure the disease by killing the patient, but that’s not a positive outcome for anyone.

The Cominator says:

Since the government can’t really afford large bank failures (in any system) that means that

The Cominator says:

Sorry I don’t know what happened…

But anyway, government can’t afford large bank failures which means that if banks are in the mortgage business at scale which is now what they are mortgage credit is still indirectly subsidized even if Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the mortgage deduction all went away.

I would not be too interested in stopping someone who went to Vinnie (except he doesn’t really exist anymore) for an off the books loan, since most people won’t go to Vinnie and it won’t distort the market because of the potentially dire consequences of not paying Vinnie back on time.

Adam says:

It is well known at least in my part of Florida that you are not building your home for you, you are building it for the city/county/state.

The regulations themselves are retarded it does not warrant getting into specifics. It is just one humiliation ritual after another.

Does not matter if you are spending 400k or 20 million. Does not matter if you are building one home or 500.

There are a few cool inspectors here and there but mostly they are spiteful mutants, and mostly boomers who just hate seeing anyone other than themselves prosper.

Wulfgar Thundercock III says:

When they started taking the white collar jobs and giving them to Indians, and then the Indians started setting up ethnic mafias to hire only more Indians, then turned and told us that we Americans are unemployed because we are stupid and lazy and that they will fuck our mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters.

The Gasman says:

>But if it comes between supporting an imperfect Trump or leftists who want you dead, your women whored out, your sons castrated, trans, and sodomized, well I think the choice is pretty obvious.

Trump is just buying time for those selfsame people to succeed. He’s continuing to import the foreign army to do it. Any jeet you talk to will break down into paroxysms of “I FUCK YOUR MOM I FUCK YOUR SISTER I FUCK YOUR DAUGHTER” at the drop of a hat, and they mean it. They would if they could, and Trump is actively helping them get the numbers they need to succeed. Republicans WILL LOSE every SINGLE election going forward on this platform. Only the most privileged normiecons will show up to vote for more of this shit, and the groypers will vote for total communist acceleration before they vote for more of the same. The jew firsters have spent the last few weeks since the Tucker/Fuentes interview threatening to destroy all of western civilization if they don’t get their way. They fucking mean it. Politics is dead, and there’s no elite faction that appears prepared to sponsor an actual coup or revolution. Just “glad” I don’t have kids to be served up as rapemeat for the infinite shitters the Republicans are damned and determined to bring in and get butchered by.

Pax Imperialis says:

>He’s continuing to import the foreign army to do it.

Show me the numbers that prove that because all I’ve been seeing from both the kevetching left and the administration is more than 2 million deported and ICE is still set to massively expand. The pace of deportations look exponential on a graph as well.

Yes, dots are a problem, but usually of the fraud and ethnic nepotism variety. It’s the latinos, africans, and muslims that produce the type of violent crime that make it unsafe in day to day business. The administration has been very clear its priority is the low hanging fruit first, and those are the ones they’ve been removing first. They will no doubt be removing others when priorities shift. The tightening of H1B is going directly after dots because they are the highest profile abusers of H1B. No one is going to pay the type of money required to bring in call center personnel.

There are very legitimate grounds for criticizing Trump, this isn’t one of them. Namely this:

>Republicans WILL LOSE every SINGLE election going forward on this platform

If they’re still thinking in terms of elections, then they’ve lost, and it’s clear you have lost as well. It’s time for a King and anything less is doom. Yet there is reason to believe Trump, or at least some of the people around him know what time it is. Deployments to major American cities is becoming the norm, and we’re one invocation of the insurrection act from major crackdowns.

The main issue SecWar Hegseth faces is a leadership cadre that, while much better than under Biden, is still full of squishy Thermidors. The changes he has been implemented are clearly an attempt to get the military ready to do its duty. I remain optimistic that Trump is indeed working to buy time, time for coup success because the only thing worse than not pulling the trigger, is to find out it fucking jammed and the enemy is now looking directly at you.

The Gasman says:

No, they’ve been fast tracking H1B applications even during the government shutdown – one of the only federal apparatus that stays open, because they’re self-funded y’know! By selling our country by the pound.

You must be lucky enough to have had minimal experience with dotheads. Normally, they’re more obsequious than sin, but the minute they think they have some kind of advantage over you, they immediately transform into their slit-your-throat-in-the-night Thuggee cult ancestors. Their attitudes are as noxious as their BO. Everything they say, claim, promise, or do is a self-promoting lie. Look how fast Dinesh D’Souza or whatever his name really is was to side with the poop throwers over native born Americans. 40 years of race-blind kayfabe dropped in an instant when it came to defending a bunch of shit lobbing jeets. THEY ARE ALL LIKE THAT waiting for their chance to strike.

Pax Imperialis says:

>No, they’ve been fast tracking H1B applications

I asked for numbers, you were unresponsive. I point out 100,000 dollar fee for H1B is directly targeting H1B fraud, and will largely impact dots. You are also unresponsive on this as well.

You claim I have minimal experience with dotheads. No, I’m quite aware they cheat a lot in getting degrees, then nepo out everyone else when they get in. I have personal experience with in both in college and the job market. Then you go on a racist tirade, and while I have little problem with racism so long as it’s grounded in reality, I find yours to be over the top in just a way it comes off more as a chariacture of what the progressive left thinks the right is like.

Your racism could have been far more believable had the tone been more along 4chan/gyoper/gen z energy, but you take it far too sanctimoniously to authentically come off.

Jim says:

I have a whole lot of experience with H1Bs in real life.

Indian H1Bs invariably form an ethnic conspiracy against white employees, management, and the board of directors. You lose control. And, because of corruption and fraud, it is very hard to hire competent dot Indian H1Bs. They say “go woke, go broke”. Well, go dot Indian H1B, go broke also, as for example Informix. When you get a critical mass of dot Indian H1Bs, everything goes to shit. The only thing they are good for is moron slave labor, to push down the wages of white Americans.

If you hire one highly competent Indian H1B, pretty soon you have thirty idiot Indian H1Bs, all with the same last name, and they spend all their time sabotaging the white employees, management, and the board.

But the one hundred thousand dollar hiring fee, if enforced, is going to fix all this.

Chinese H1Bs will steal your data and take it back to China, but are otherwise fine. It is not hard to hire competent Chinese H1Bs, and while they are conspiring against America, they are not conspiring against white employees, white management, and the board. What they are, however, doing, is plotting to with the Chinese government to create a Chinese company that makes the same product as you, only better and cheaper. The one hundred thousand dollar hiring fee is not going to do much about this.

Cloudswrest says:

Chinese H1Bs will steal your data and take it back to China, but are otherwise fine.

Pax Imperialis says:

Conversely some of the best, most brilliant, international students I met in collage, and most value added H1Bs, were of English, German, Japanese, Korean, and as much as I hate to say it, French origin. If anything, Trump should be putting H1B on steroids specifically for English and German political refugees workers to loot the remains of GAE gainfully employ underutilized workforce who have been shuttered out of productivity by the de-industrialization of Europe.

Jim says:

Yes, South Korean don’t have the stab you in your back / burn your company to the ground, pajeet problem, and don’t have the Chinese government helping them set up a business in China to produce your product cheaper and better.

Daddy Scarebucks says:

…and as much as I hate to say it, French origin

It’s true, the French engineers come with an odd sort of creativity that often leads to different solutions from what the Anglo- and Dutch-descended engineers would come up with.

If you let a Frenchman run the project, then before long all of the Anglos will quit. But having one or two on the team as ICs can be very helpful, especially for when you inevitably get stuck in a rut. They are hard to get along with, though, so tend to need either open-ended job descriptions or managers who understand their peculiarities.

Pax Imperialis says:

Real roundabout way of saying Frenchmen are assholes. I hated working with them, but they got enough results that the problem could be overlooked, somewhat.

Lived with one in the graduate dorms. His ‘solutions’ for dealing with troublesome neighbors always made them worse with spite. Still, he was absolutely brilliant and it was shocking to me he was doing his PhD at a mere top 50 state university instead of MIT. Much smarter than many of my highschool peers who went to Yale, Harvard, or MIT.

I have to wonder had the English won the 100 year war if they’d still end up seperate nations out of sheer dislike of French behavior.

Pax Imperialis says:

The big problem with Koreans is that if you let them run the company, eventually you’ll find it is run by people who do burn it to the ground. They are too naively invested in notions of meritocracy as defined by testing to notice fruad and bad actors. Too much of a high trust society can be a bad thing.

but think about it, who the fuck logically decides in a hustle culture where no job is permanent go ahead and train themselves to be a power engineer, spending their youth on a job that might not be even given to them, instead of drawing tits for a living and having an income vastly greater than that of a power engineer in a few years because of how good you draw tits because of wage equalization, FIRE economy, and taxes above the Laffer limit.

no seriously, it is better career to be a hentai artist than be a power engineer in today’s economy, how do you fix this?

FrankNorman says:

Massive urban blackouts will change perceptions perhaps?

Pax Imperialis says:

That would solve the demand issue, and perhaps a few others as well, but not the supply issue. 🤣

Karl says:

Of course, the guys who know how stuff works are old and getting older. In a society that is lacking children it cannot be otherwise.

The problem is not what career to choose. The problem is how men can men can have families and children.

Pax Imperialis says:

If family creation were the sole problem, we’d be in a “managed decline” or stagnation like Japan. It’s far worse. The Japanese and Koreans still build high tech and it’s clear know how is still being passed down although to a dwindling population, it’s their industrial capacity that will ultimately trend down but not skill. The Koreans for example still build nuclear tech (weapons in the north and commercial reactors in the south). The Japanese are just as nuclear capable. The US doesn’t. The US has both problems of loss of skill transfer and family creation.

Case in point, both Japan and America had roughly the same total fertility rate in the 1970s, yet it’s clear that American decline in tech while the Japanese/Koreans dominate high tech production despite their fertility rates dropping significantly lower. Besides, if you had to born in either countries, which would you prefer? Chiraq or Tokyo?

Pax Imperialis says:

Yes, I did understate the problem. I believe Trump’s intent is pretty clear, avoid Soviet style collapse which will necessitate having the right type of foreign labor while kicking out everyone else who is a drag. It’s a tough business but six figures in 5-7 years is doable if your in the right market and don’t mind a little overtime.

It’s a labor of love though, and it’s hard to scale those skills. But if you want to learn how to build anything, that’s a good path.

Granted, and I’ve complained about that long before now, but how does injecting HLB pajeets in between the old guys who know how stuff works and young underemployed Americans fix the problem? In fact it does worse than kick the can down the road, it exacerbates the problem.

Which clarifies for me – this whole thing is so unasked for and so incoherent that it strikes me as both a backroom deal and the kind of idea a congressional committee would come up with. Simultaneously stupid and evil, yet also bipartisan, so somehow it moves forward. Probably the tech lords are still making their play for their carve-out on immigration, somebody tried to square that with MAGA demands on immigration and employment, and we got this abortion.

Now Trumpists want everyone to fall in line. But Trump isn’t Caesar yet, and at this rate he isn’t going to be. And loyally backing him every time he tries to stick his dick in a bear trap isn’t going to get him there.

Pax Imperialis says:

>how does injecting HLB pajeets in between the old guys who know how stuff works and young underemployed Americans fix the problem?

Who here has suggested we do that? Where has Trump ever suggested that? By putting a 100,000 dollar price tag on H1B, Trump has destroyed the economic incentive to H1B pageet America into the Ganges.

>In fact it does worse than kick the can down the road, it exacerbates the problem.

Ideally H1B does the same thing that Peter the Great did. Actively sought out and hired foreign specialists. He managed to recruit hundreds to work for the Russian state and was a key factor in Westernization of his nation. H1B in practice does not do this, and Trump is right to attempt to be the American Peter, but, and I agree with many here, execution is not the best. What Trump should do, and I’ve said this before, is make specific deals with certain countries to lend us their experts and establish a skilled labor pool domestically. What it needs is though is American, and MAGA, managers directly answerable to Trump to ensure the intent of skill transfer is executed.

A2 says:

H1B jeetifies society. Seems roughly right.

Daddy Scarebucks says:

Ideally H1B does the same thing that Peter the Great did. Actively sought out and hired foreign specialists. He managed to recruit hundreds to work for the Russian state and was a key factor in Westernization of his nation.

Don’t need H-1B for this, because there is already a green card category for it.

If they are really that good, why shouldn’t we let them stay as long as they like, preferably permanently? Issuing a temporary visa, by definition, implies we don’t really trust them that much and need to be supervising them carefully, which means not-so-hidden costs.

If a company executive is not willing to pay enough and put his personal reputation on the line to sponsor a permanent residency, then maybe he doesn’t really need the labor that badly. Making the H-1B more expensive will help, at least, but in the long run it isn’t a program we need at all, and its definition is incoherent and self-contradictory.

Pax Imperialis says:

Yes, it doesn’t need to be H1B, and that’s on Trump for trying to use the current system rather than outright making a new, better one. All I’m saying is that this isn’t the outright betrayal some on the right are making this out to be.

I do think though that green cards do have their fair share of problems, and likewise Trump is trying to patch the system there as well instead of making a 2.0.

Mossadnik says:

There’s no space conquest without solving aging.

It’s not biological mortals who will expand spacewards, but biological immortals, in the sense of people whom science and technology will make immune to aging itself, being able to both arrest and reverse it at will.

With a lifespan of 120-150, you are not going to fly very far. Space is vast, vaaaaaaast, and traversing it will take a very, very long time. Certainly going beyond our solar system will take a little while. Are mortals living to 150 at most expected to spend their entire lifespans flying in deep dark space? Nobody will ever want such a thing.

Solving aging is not “optional.” Without immortality, we may terraform Mars, but not much more than that. To really go into space (using humans rather than just robots), need people who naturally do not die, that is, are either biologically engineered or bio-medically made to not undergo aging processes. Or at least live for several millennia.

If it is the will of Gnon that we conquer the whole universe, then it is most certainly the will of Gnon that we abolish death, or at least natural aging. Chronologically, first we’ll have to solve aging, and only then space conquest will become realistic. A lifespan of 150 means that you’ll likely spend your entire life flying in the dark until you die, and only the descendants you make in the spaceship — or their descendants, perhaps generations upon generations upon generations forward — will get anywhere interesting. Whereas, if you have aging firmly solved, you can go into artificially-induced sleep as much as you like until you reach a cool place, even if takes thousands of years, and then you’ll still have your entire life ahead of you.

The more deeply I consider the matter, the more obvious it becomes that sending people confined to a lifespan of 120-150 into space just does not make any sense. It’s not going to happen. Biological immortality or “radical life extension” is simply a prerequisite if we’re going to conquer the whole universe. While everyone is busy with the AGI Demon, and some are working on spaceships, looks to me like these are the wrong scientific priorities. Curing diseases, and ultimately solving aging itself, is the most crucial scientific milestone required for future civilizational progress and expansion.

Anyone who disagrees is welcome to explain how humans confined to lives of 150 years at most are going to conquer the universe beyond our solar system, not to mention beyond our galaxy. It’s ridiculous. Only immortals who don’t expect to die, or as close to that as biologically possible, will adventure that far. You can send “regular humans” to Mars; you are not sending them to Andromeda.

The Space Opera will commence after bio-medicine allows people to not age. Not before that.

Adam says:

Alternatively, a means to transfer experience from one to another would be extremely useful.

Mossadnik says:

There are many ways to upgrade the experience of space travel and exploration for mere mortals, but ultimately I don’t think that humans will ever be inclined to have generations upon generations living and dying exclusively in space flight. If you want to be able to go to another galaxy yourself, within your own lifetime, then a lifespan of 120-150 years is unlikely to suffice, well, obviously depending on the speed and method of travel – realistically speaking though, it’s not possible without radically extending the human lifespan.

We can conquer the solar system without abolishing aging. Not the galaxy and not the universe.

The Cominator says:

In Sci Fi you ussually have either FTL or long term cryosleep. If we even colonize the solar system there will definitely be people who have to live and work in space ala the Expanse.

Mossadnik says:

The philosopher David Pearce proposes the total abolition of suffering on a neuro-biological level. I don’t propose that, however with suffering greatly diminished, it should be possible to acclimate people to all kinds of extreme conditions. Nevertheless, natural aging (and the accompanying diseases) complicate the deep space mission to the point of making it impossible, in my judgement at least.

Humungus says:

With present technology and speed, it will take ~100,000 years to reach Alpha Centauri, the next closest solar system. This far exceeds any realistic life extension theory or cryogenic stasis.

At present, the only way to make a human immortal and still human would be to reconstruct the human body with immortal cell lines, essentially becoming cancer.

The solution is not to modify us, but to increase speed.

In Bladerunner the replicant asks its creator for more life. The creator said he made him the best he can be.

God created us in his image. Our limitations are God’s will. Thy will be done.

Mossadnik says:

Yes, our limitations are God’s will, but then our speed of movement may very well also be included among those limitations. Ultimately, whatever limitation can be transcended in a proper (Gnon-compliant) manner, in due course will be.

Is it necessarily easier to increase speed than to increase longevity?

Jim says:

> This far exceeds any realistic life extension theory or cryogenic stasis.

Not at all sure it exceeds cryogenic stasis. Bacteria in spore form have woken up after two hundred million years. If we can ship bacteria on journeys that long without doing anything special, why not us? Tardigrades have an equivalent of spore form, and they, like us, are bilatarians. Albeit eukaryote spore form is not as long lasting as bacterial, but presumably improving it to bacterial capabilities is not all that radical. Tardigrades can do suspended animation, and in bacteria, suspended animation is good for hundreds of millions of years in the presence of oxygen, warmth and moisture. Should not be hard for vacuum near absolute zero.

As for shorter journey, making the interstellar journeys in reasonable time, beamed power can do it, though that is beyond the reach of a Kardishev One civilisation. But by the time we make a small start on Kardishev two, by the time we have a single sun circling ring of habitats that can access all the solar energy in a ring around the sun forty thousand kilometers wide with a radius of one hundred fifty million kilometers, we will be able to chuck habitats massing more than a cruise liner between the stars at a good fraction of the speed of light.

Thirdly, generation ships. When we settle the comets, using fusion power, we are going to settle interstellar comets, spreading out between the stars at fifty kilometers per second, not with the intent of getting to a target star, just homesteading.

Humungus says:

On stasis..

Perhaps realistic in a distant future. The challenge of cellular membrane integrity due to ice crystallization must be addressed in larger organisms. Realistic estimates are perhaps 40 years in the future. Extended stasis will likely be possible in 200+ years.

On Longevity vs Speed…

Longevity is both feasible and desirable to a degree, within limitations. The body fails at a cellular level because they are designed to only dived and reproduce a finite number of times. Human life could possibly be extended to say, 150 years.

The barrier of speed is yet to be conquered. Present science claims we cannot approach light speed, but likely possible to go faster than present.

To say absolutely a thing is impossible in all future is uncertain. There are likely many things which are impossible and many that are.

Mossadnik says:

> The body fails at a cellular level because they are designed to only dived and reproduce a finite number of times.

The thing is, imagine if all those resources wasted by Jewish oogaboogers on the AGI Demon were instead invested in discovering means of (safely) restoring cells to their youthful forms; would a breakthrough of sorts — not “total immortality” but a significant increase in longevity — not be forthcoming?

Mossadnik says:

> To say absolutely a thing is impossible in all future is uncertain. There are likely many things which are impossible and many that are.

By the way, this reminds me of something.

Matthew 17:20:

…for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

The Jimian (correct) interpretation of this verse is not literal, obviously, or else nobody has ever had any faith. Rather, it is that by adhering to Reality, wherein Divine Law is manifest, it is possible to increase in power so as to eventually make the hitherto impossible, possible.

Speed, yes. But also longevity. I strongly suspect that both will be needed to fulfill the will of Gnon. Or put another way, both shall be fruits resultant from fulfilling it.

Pax Imperialis says:

The causality problems introduced by FTL nearly drove me mad in despair. There are no way getting around it. Space colonization will have to be done the hard way, and there will never be a space imperium. Just darkness and uncertainty. Success will never be known by those who send the great generation ships out, and rewards never gained. Only sentimentality. I hope I’m wrong, but causality is written into space-time more than any other principle of physics we know.

A2 says:

Igor Novikov explored closed time-like curves, which could yield results such as a billiard ball emerging from wormhole B to knock itself into wormhole A (which exits at B). This appears to be legit, but there seems to be no way to form such CTCs.

(His work later made me ponder what an observer somewhere deep in black hole M would see if M collided with black hole N. In particular with respect to time distortion as the singularities approach each other. Alas, for some reason I never came to a conclusion.)

Daddy Scarebucks says:

The causality problems introduced by FTL nearly drove me mad in despair. There are no way getting around it. Space colonization will have to be done the hard way, and there will never be a space imperium.

I’m not so sure. The more we study physics on the quantum mechanical level, the more we discover phenomena that sometimes seem to violate causality and definitely violate locality.

I doubt that any of us will live long enough to see technology that exploits those phenomena on a macro level, but I don’t think the sci-fi trope of merely bypassing the LS limit is beyond the pale. Could end up similar in some respects to the trajectory of terrestrial travel, i.e. where the optimal flight path is not the same as the optimal ground path.

I suspect we’d try to solve the problem of FTL communication before even attempting FTL travel, because FTL communication is a relevant problem even for an intrasolar, Kardashiev-1.5 civilization. And maybe it sounds impossible to solve now, but I think the idea of communication over radio waves would have seemed equally incomprehensible to anyone living 500 years in the past.

Breakthroughs are called breakthroughs for a reason; they have to break through the stagnant and incorrect or partially-correct models people were using before. Of course, breakthroughs don’t just happen, they require enormous investment into an intelligent and creative population, but that’s a different problem from immutable physical laws.

Jim says:

Very long cryogenic stasis likely to be feasible. Bacteria can do very long stasis even in the presence of warm and moisture, and tardigrades can do some fairly impressive stasis at moderately dryish humidity conditions.

Biological immortality might well be feasible. There are organisms that are biologically immortal, sturgeon and some species of crayfish, except that they just keep on growing and eventually get too big. With some sort of trimming mechanism, could work.

Generation ships are going to be feasible, and are likely to be the inadvertent outcome of settling interstellar comets.

Not really feasible even if you had a way to maintain the acceleration. The doppler shifted black body radiation becomes x-rays, then becomes gamma rays. Friction with the cosmic black body radiation will both slow you down and burn you up the same way a meteor burns up entering Earth’s atmosphere.

Jim says:

> > with time dilation takes you across chunks of the galaxy in a few years, to Andromeda in 15

> Friction with the cosmic black body radiation will both slow you down and burn you up the same way a meteor burns up entering Earth’s atmosphere.

Worse than that. If you are going fast enough to travel one light year in one subjective year, (70 percent light speed) you need about one ton of shielding per square meter, because oncoming gas is high energy radiation.

Albeit one might be able to get away with something lighter by pushing something with a strong magnetic field a few kilometers in front of the vehicle.

Jim says:

If you are travelling at eighty percent of the speed of light, time dilation does not buy you that much. You travel one and a third light years for each subjective year, but collisions with dust and gas become a huge problem.

If you are going fast enough to buy you something worth having, your problem with oncoming dust and gas increases exponentially.

A2 says:

Any thoughts on the (quite speculative) Alcubierre drive?

Jim says:

I am one of the very few people who actually understand the Alcubierre drive.

It is a thought experiment on what could be done with magical unobtainium. Except that this unobtainium is extra special double magical.

To build one requires “exotic matter”, which is to say matter that violates the known laws of physics.

And, assuming we had such matter available, controlling it, making it do what we wanted, would violate causality and free will.

And, assuming we had such matter available, and could control it and make it do what we wanted, building a faster than light drive would be the least of the things we could do with it. We could build our own universes, and generate unlimited energy from spacetime itself.

It is entirely possible, perhaps even likely, that exotic matter exists in some sense. It is entirely unlikely that we could shape it to our will. If exotic matter exists, it is not subject to ordinary causality.

Cloudswrest says:

Pop YouTube physicist Alexander Unzicker is always talking about modelling things with “variable speed of light”. Why is the speed of light a constant? Well globally it’s not. For example, down in a gravity well it is slower. But things aren’t usually modelled this way. Locally, i.e. in your vicinity, it’s always constant. Why is that? Well it’s obvious if you think about it. If some godly being changes the speed of light in your vicinity, that means the Eo (permittivity of free space) changes, which means the Bohr radius and frequency change, and molecular bond lengths change accordingly, etc. Your standards of length and time change, and voila, with local measurements you’re back to the same old speed of light. One’s local reality is NORMALIZED in terms of the speed of light. So you don’t (can’t) notice any changes. Things get interesting if, globally, the speed of light differs between two nearby points A and B. This implies length and time standards vary between A and B, which mathematically implies *curvature*. That is the space between A and B is no longer “flat” or “Euclidean” from an intrinsic point of view.

The convention in modern physics is to just assume the speed of light is constant everywhere and model everything intrinsically and integrate up from the diffEQs to get a global solution, rather than assume a flat spatial substrate with the speed of light varying everywhere.

A2 says:

Speed of light changes with the medium, doesn’t it? So at the interface of atmosphere and water we would see … chemical bonds lengthening? (Apart from Cherenkov radiation.)

Tucker’s criticism of Jewish advocacy of genocide is unfair. You have to fight to win, and Israel has not been fighting to win. But Tucker’s opposition to US involvement in far away wars, and opposition cancelling and deplatforming anyone who opposes US interests being sacrificed to Israeli interests looks rather good, and his opponents look evil and anti american.

Mossadnik says:

I haven’t watched it; I don’t know if there’s anything wrong with it specifically. I’m also not a fan of Mark Levine – let them destroy each other, as far as I’m concerned.

Did no one here post Tucker’s (other) recent “stuff”? Jim, forget Israel – he is going full schizo-troofer baiter right now, about sundry subjects. Which is a great relief for World Jewry, since running on trooferism for POTUS is quite unlikely.

Alf says:

Jim, forget Israel – he is going full schizo-troofer baiter right now, about sundry subjects.

Then please give specific examples. On the topic of Israel and the Jews one can accuse Tucker of being overzealous, but he isn’t wrong: there’s too many Jews doing too much evil, and the US is way too involved.

Mossadnik says:

> one can accuse Tucker of being overzealous

I’m really not looking to attack him any further. Enough has been said. For your reflection, consider the following:

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

(Galatians 5:9)

The Cominator says:

Being overzealous on a wedge issue that isn’t existential (ie not immigration) is being a bad actor.

Alf says:

The charitable explanation is that Tucker isn’t exactly the smartest thinker around. He’s an excellent communicator. But prone to magical thinking, eg underestimating the logos, much like Roosh and Andrew Torba. So in his Christian identity he reasons that Jews, being the Christ killers, are aligned with demons and need to be thrown out. Eg Jews are an existential threat to him.

But that is the charitable explanation. Your criticism is valid, who knows where he really stands.

jaggard says:

> [Carlson] is going full schizo-troofer baiter right now

That is nonsense. Carlson is challenging the official pentagon propaganda regarding 9/11, and that is something that anybody who isn’t fully retarded – or a shill – would do.

As a side note, I don’t think Carlson is enough of a fraud to become president. You have to be a completely unprincipled psycho to be US president, and I don’t think Carlson is that far gone.

Mossadnik says:

Oh.

Well yes, if he gets the support of any ruling class faction — i.e., Thermidor: Nazbol Edition — he can theoretically become POTUS. Should I, a dancing Israeli, be concerned? Given that nobody can afford anything and that Democrats will likely win in 2028 (commendable as they are, mass deportations won’t suffice, and are not a panacea to all social ills), yes, there’s a big chance that 2032 Thermidor aka Groyperdor will be brootal, motivated by spite, resentment, envy, and covetousness. Well, I’ve already voiced my concerns about the matter.

The exorcism will intensify in proportion to the demonism.

S says:

Every person has the capacity to come to God through Jesus. Every person, no matter how they were born. And so, of course, no sincere Christian could be an anti-semite. And no sincere Christian would ever defend anti-semitism. In fact, he would call it out as he would racism or any form of discrimination on the basis of blood.”

I guess the target audience is retarded civnat boomers?

I stopped reading at 10 minutes; the problem with complaining American foreign policy towards Iran is being hijacked by Jews with no regard to the best interests of the American people is NONE of the US government is being run with any regard to the best interests of the American people. The insane proxy war against Russia is fractaly stupid- risking WW3, making Russia a Chinese ally, using up weapon reserves, casual Slav extermination, etc.

Jim says:

> the problem with complaining American foreign policy towards Iran is being hijacked by Jews with no regard to the best interests of the American people is NONE of the US government is being run with any regard to the best interests of the American people. The insane proxy war against Russia

Tucker was also attacked for being a tool of Putin, for speaking truth on Russia. Now he is being attacked as a Nazi. He is not focusing unfairly on Jews.

Indeed in the very podcast where you complain about him focusing excessively on the Jews, he soon starts speaking about the insane proxy war against Russians and suggests leaving Venezuela alone.

The reason he is focusing on Jews in this podcast is only because Jews are focusing on him.

S says:

Should have read further then; people on twitter, the video title and the comments reference the first part which makes it sound like petty infighting instead of Tucker calling out the GAE.

Chemtrails pops up at 38:34- Tucker isn’t endorsing here, but highlighting it as a contrast between his position and the people he’s criticizing who hold Americans in contempt.

“You have the right to decide what matters to you. If you’re having trouble paying your health insurance or if you think divorce laws are unfair in this country or if you think chemtrails are a problem, if you don’t like fluoride in the water, if you think there should be a cap on credit card interest, whatever the issue that matters to you, first and foremost, you have a right to feel that way.”

I’m getting whiplash from reading Tucker and then Christian Heiens. Tucker doesn’t seem to know what time it is because he is pushing American civic religion and “we are all Americans” really hard.

Pax Imperialis says:

Really hard to define what an American is and so we default to what we think we know.

Pax Imperialis says:

I’ve been thinking about this hard recently after meeting the wife of a fellow officer. She looked like she came right out of a Jane Austin novel. He did well.

The point I’m making with this is that many White Americans who’d we have no problem calling heritage Americans no longer look or act like the founding Anglo stock. For sure, you can still find many of them, but it’s precisely because they no longer are the defining majority both in population size or culture, that what is an American becomes so much harder to define, and so definitions fray.

Overall this is good stuff, however it smells too much like Hobbit Nationalism. While I’m not a full-on Yarvinist, his point about memetically capturing the Brahmins is correct. I don’t know if America will become an absolute monarchy as classic NRx envisions, but one thing is certain – no bishop, no king. Hobbit Nationalism has no positive effect on the Brahmins. It’s political masturbation. Need a healthy ruling class, preferably one that is not too priestly (give Kshatriyas their due), also ideally one that practices “noblesse oblige,” and that is at least culturally in line with Jimian Christianity. Hobbit Nationalism, whatever flavor, just does not get you there.

Jim says:

It looks like Thermidor is breaking left.

Immediately after the murder of Charlie Kirk, Musk told to his staff to reduce the reach of hateful content — and because his staff, like himself, are thermidorian, and believe that that those to their left are their moral superiors, and those to their right are their moral inferiors, this got re-interpreted and re-re-interpreted as it went down the chain of command, so that as implemented in practice, anyone who fails to cheer enthusiastically cheer the murder of Charlie Kirk or neglects to call for anyone resembling Charlie Kirk to be killed seven times over is hateful content who wants to genocide the Jews. Supposedly Tucker wants to genocide the Jews. Supposedly Megan Kelly wants to genocide the Jews. Supposedly CatTurd wants to genocide the Jews. Supposedly Charlie Kirk was actually gernociding the Jews, and himself personally shoving them into his own personal gas chambers.

Before the murder of Charlie Kirk, the voice of Maga could be heard loud and clear on X. About a week after the murder, it was silenced.

Thermidor is right now attempting to purge Maga, which if successful guarantees that Maga is not going to show up at the mid terms, which guarantees that everyone in Thermidor is going to be murdered by the left for apostacy.

Least bad outcome, Maga purges thermidor, then has troops standing over the voting booths checking ID. When Maga then announces it won the mid terms, no one who knows what is good for them asks for a recount. And if anyone does ask for a recount, we do to them what the Democrats did to us following 2020.

Most bad outcome, everyone who is white, or male, or straight, gets murdered by crazy cat ladies.

` says:

> Before the murder of Charlie Kirk, the voice of Maga could be heard loud and clear on X. About a week after the murder, it was silenced.

So Kirk, who apparently stopped taking orders from the jews, was executed, and the rest of MAGA censored. It’s all the same thing. Maybe Carlson will be murdered next.

> Thermidor is right now attempting to purge Maga, which if successful guarantees that Maga is not going to show up at the mid terms, which guarantees that everyone in Thermidor is going to be murdered by the left for apostacy.

When you say thermidor you mean the neocons/jews/permanent bureaucracy/etc who run the show? There’s no way that mafia is going to be murdered by “the left”. They are part of “the left”, if not the very core of it.

As far as I can tell actual MAGA is Carlson, Greene, and maybe a few others I don’t know. Rest of the trumpist movement is just the worst of the “deep state”.

The Cominator says:

No no no what amazed me is how retarded everyone has gotten since Kirk was murdered. Both sides of the… We jew loving RINOs are the true MAGA, no we now jew obsessed weirdos are the true MAGA suck its just bad actors sowing discord. But unfortunately Trump has become retarded too… Indian immigration is existential and we have to chimp out to the point of credibly threatening that we will allow the country to slide into a communist hell if he doesn’t do the right thing and stop all Indian immigration as well as kick out most of the current subcontinentals here.

Jews are in general a stupid wedge issue which most people who discuss shouldn’t because they are too dump and too taken in by bullshit.

Mossadnik says:

Very likely.

After these fuckin’ kikes murdered in cold blood Kevin MacDonald, Andrew Anglin, Andrew Auernheimer, Mike Peinovich, Nick Fuentes, John Mearsheimer, Douglas Macgregor, and every other decent and reasonable critic of the (((Tribe))), I’m sure Carlson is next.

That’s just what they do. They murder everyone who dares to disagree with them. Remember Aidan MacLir who used to post here? I bet the KIKES murdered him too.

The most bloodthirsty and violent nation in the world. Anyone pushing the “Jesus was a jew” line is by definition a pathological liar. He was a peaceful Palestinian — but I repeat myself — which is exactly why (((they))) murdered him.

Every. Single. Time.

They are not the core of the left, for the core of the left is always the leftmost, who always wind up murdering everyone who is less holy than their very holy selves.

No matter how far left you are, you very soon have to be lefter still, or you are going to be a fascist. Charlie Kirk was a fascist, now Tucker is a fascist, Megan Kelly is a fascist, Trump is a fascist, and soon the neocons are going to be fascists. It is a competition to throw the other guy to the crocodile so you will be eaten last. Fascist fascist fascist. Saying “fascist” is a protective charm until it is not a protective charm any more.

Musk had better check with Grok, and make sure Grok is not calling Musk a fascist. Ask Grok about Israel, the 2020 election, the J6ers, the Ukraine. That is obviously not a maximally truth seeking AI.

jaggard says:

>They are not the core of the left, for the core of the left is always the leftmost, who always wind up murdering everyone who is less holy than their very holy selves.

Yes I understand that dynamic (side note though, that dynamic applies to any kind of fanatical movement, not just the political left)

Anyway, even if the leftmost faction wants to murder everybody else(which they do), they don’t look likely to have the power to do it, IMO. Some lunatic trannies can set up a murdering club like the zizians, but taking over the US government looks a bit harder.

But my point is : as far as I can tell, Carlson is taking a kinda/sorta principled stand against US imperialism. His anti-imperial party is rather small, and it does not include trump.

Jim says:

> Yes I understand that dynamic (side note though, that dynamic applies to any kind of fanatical movement, not just the political left)

Non left movements don’t have the ever further, ever faster, dynamic that leftism does. They may have some weird ideas, but they don’t get ever weirder.

The fundamental dynamic of leftism is the pursuit of power. And once it has power, the leftmost faction takes power. And pretty soon everyone adheres to the wildest extremes of radical leftism, for example that there are no natural slaves. And once everyone adheres to that radical extreme, you need another even more radical extreme, for example that women are equal to men, and interchangeable with them. And once everyone adheres to that radical extreme, then you need an even more radical extreme.

Jim says:

> even if the leftmost faction wants to murder everybody else(which they do), they don’t look likely to have the power to do it

I see you are very young. I have seen the insignfificant over the top lunatic fringe of the left become the normal mainstream that everyone conforms to, and then a new over the top lunatic fringe appear, and become the normal mainstream that no one dare disagree with.

To me, it was not very long ago that the idea of “marital rape” was so weird and incomprehensible that no one could comprehend what these crazy raving lunatic feminists were talking about. And now marriage 1.0 has been criminalised, with draconian penalties against it that we do not apply to someone who slices up random people in a subway train, but do apply to men who are good fathers and husbands who were working very hard to take care of their families.

I recall that during the Cambodian autogenocide and the Vietnames bloodbath, the left, including the New York Times, enthusiastically celebrated mass murder abroad. Now they are champing at the bit to celebrate mass murder at home.

Just as with Charlie Kirk, they said the right did it and Charlie Kirk had it coming, with the Cambodian autogenocide, they said Ronald Reagan did it and the cambodian peasants had it coming.

Everyone on the left supports the murder of Charlie Kirk. “I oppose all violence” they say, and then explain the words resembling those of Charlie Kirk constitutes violence, and killing people who use such words does not constitute violence, therefore the vast majority of political violence is right wing political violence. Therefore everyone on the left supports murdering you and me. Anyone who claims that most political violence is right wing political violence has a definition of political violence that makes my continued existence and your continued existence “political violence”, and killing us “opposition to political violence”. And the vast majority of the mainstream left claims that most political violence is right wing political violence.

One day the lunatic fringe of the lunatic fringe of the left is advocating something, and before long, they have won, and shortly after than, mainstream conservatives are conserving it.

Leftism is a slippery slope, and at the bottom of this slope stands the seven kill stele. We lost our footing and fell two centuries ago, and have been sliding downhill ever faster since then.

Mossadnik says:

> But my point is : as far as I can tell, Carlson is taking a kinda/sorta principled stand against US imperialism. His anti-imperial party is rather small, and it does not include trump.

What about JD Vance? I suspect that he is anti-imperialist too, just without the crackpot payload. Vance shows that one can be “America First” without being “Israel Last” and without pushing chemtrails and extolling Maduro and the Ayatollahs.

Mossadnik says:

In fact, there are more than a few Moderate Paleoconservatives on the American Right if you care to look for them. Tucker has a large audience, yes, but he’s gone cray-cray; the torch of Charlie Kirk (who could be an excellent President in my view) is now carried on by Vance, who can pick as VP any of sane, reasonable personas from among the American Right, and will possess a Heavenly Mandate to dismantle the Empire.

But no, no, let’s go with the unscrupulous nutcase who is currently busy counter-signalling Trump on non-essential issues (as Cominator correctly observes), suuuuuure, that’s totally totally the better alternative to actually get things done.

Jaggard, consider that if someone tells you one thing that you really want to hear, and then mixes it all up with utter crap, that someone is not actually on your side.

The Cominator says:

Jim did we really fall before the “progressive era”?

Jim says:

Late stage Puritans (diggers, levellers) were the a pre-run of the seventies hippies and the eighties commies. And before that, there was the first collapse of Islamic civilisation.

We are today repeating the events that led to Thermidor’s crackdown on the left in France, Cromwell’s crackdown in England, and Stalin’s crackdown in Russia.

Bix Nudelmann says:

I’m so itching for my Qanon bookmarks right now, it’s embarrassing. Just to “hope away the doom” for a little bit longer.

So Charlie Kirk is dead, but Nick Fuentes isn’t. OK got it. And let me guess: No tranny murder cults are group-chatting about shooting Fuentes on Discord either?

And then right on cue, as soon as Charlie’s bled out, boom, everybody’s heard of Nick Fuentes and he’s all over everything. And Tucker is doing aliens and demons building the pyramids.

And Ukraine is still going. And Trump is shit-talking MTG. And the 600,000 Chinese spy visas. And the Jeetpolcalypse is bad. And the anti-semitism hysteria. And this RIDICULOUS Venezuela thing! And-and-and.

What. In. The. World.

The sanest take I can manage is that Thermidor saw Charlie Kirk die on TV, got the message, and said “OK peace out, we’re going back to kissing ass and being eaten last” and DC is just running rampant, no substitute teacher or anything.

Bix Nudelmann says:

And the Jeetpolcalypse is BACK.

You see? I’m fucking hysterical. Calgon take me away.

Mayflower Sperg says:

Non left movements don’t have the ever further, ever faster, dynamic that leftism does. They may have some weird ideas, but they don’t get ever weirder.

Sunni Islam has that dynamic too, though it seems to have burned itself out lately. The Islamic State was crushed, and other states got better at identifying fanatics and eliminating them. To ensure his own survival, the Saudi king arrested the billionaires who funded Al-Qaeda, stripped them naked, hung them by the ankles, and beat them with two-by-fours until they remembered their Swiss bank account numbers.

Mossadnik says:

> (side note though, that dynamic applies to any kind of fanatical movement, not just the political left)

Yes, Jaggard. Holiness spiralling yourself into retardation and madness is indeed a risk with any ideological movement, leftist or otherwise. Jews especially are prone to that, so you must be careful if any are involved.

Mossadnik says:

Con Inc’s problem is hubris – they don’t understand that they are in no position to issue denunciations, and that if they want someone brought down (metaphorically… or literally), they actually need to persuade the audience why that someone is Le Bad. It’s perfectly doable if you know the audience’s psychology, which they obviously do not. In general, I’d advise the philosemitic camp to keep their friends close, and their enemies even closer. And instead of assuming that everyone is on their side, they should strive to convince people to be on their side.

The people at Babylon Bee need to understand that Anglinism (the weltanschauung of Andrew Anglin) has become mainstream, because Anglin used to be very funny and all the incels used to read him — and everyone is an incel now — and that if they want to undo this ideology, they also need to be funny, indeed they need to surpass Anglin on the humor scale.

Mossadnik says:

Alas, there is no point expecting conservatards, tradcucks, tradtards, cucktards, pharisees, wifeguys, virtue-signallers, moralfags, fundies, Bible-thumpers, etc., to be able to do humor properly. Even if their jokes were actually good and not spurdo-burger-coded, they would still fail to resonate with broader audiences – but the jokes themselves are tepid at best, because written by dinosaurs who live in alternate reality & who didn’t religiously browse MyPostingCareer.

And I write this as someone who appreciates the zio-cucks, shares some of their sentiments, and who loves the Bible so much as to almost become one of its characters. Yeah, virtue-signallers would never hire an irreverent blasphemous vice-signalling freak like me – their loss! Also, the guy from Deep Left Analysis is correct about religiosity being in decline, but don’t tell that to the LARPers, they are deeply invested in maintaining the illusion that — any day now, any second really — America is about to switch to Christian Taliban and everyone will lead a “wholesome life,” or else the shekels from the zio-donors won’t flow in anymore.

Mossadnik says:

Fact is, you can do the “warm fuzzy feelings” thing, or you can actually speak to younger generations in a way that they’ll find appealing. I’m not sure that anyone younger than 40 is much into the Babylon Bee. It’s not a problem that can be fixed all that easily with better PR, because the product itself is rather flawed. GenZ are all atheists, whether they LARP as Christians or Pagans or whatever, and moreover they’ll never have a family or a home of their own, so understandably they want to burn everything down. You can’t appeal to such people with “warm fuzzy feelings,” but ultimately that’s what the conservacucks have long been trying to sell. They have no other product.

And when you combine that with zio-shilling, duh, of course it’s totally counterproductive and just makes people hate Israel. (It would be much better for Israel if it had cultural outreach like Japan; since Japan has a real culture and Israel sucks shit, it’s not going to happen anytime soon.)

Now, the pager joke — which is not bad actually — can be seen as a clumsy, cringe attempt by Con Inc to pivot more to an Anglinist-humor direction. But for the joke to work, they would need to first convince the audience to embrace the Babylon Bee’s worldview, and that is precisely why it fell flat – the younger audiences just do not share this worldview. They perceive the joke not as an attack on their enemies, but as an attack on themselves.

Mossadnik says:

In recent years people have exited the television universe and entered the internet universe. Back when he was still relatively sane, between 2016 and 2021 or so, Andrew Anglin capitalized on this shift in cultural-transmission medium to propound his worldview. The wild success was due to two main factors: 1. he mostly wrote about issues that his audience actually cared about; 2. he was just very talented as an online comedian. Babylon Bee is weaker on both counts.

I’m telling fellow Israelis – do not expect Americans to “shift back” to ziocuckery. We need an altogether different strategy in the age of internet, atheism, and inceldom. We need, first and foremost, to strive for independence. Bibi now gets it; perhaps his people are lurking here and listening to me. But if we want strong propaganda, denouncing absolutely everyone who isn’t 100% philosemitic as a Nazi is not the way to do it. To be clear, actual Nazis should be woodchippered and cremated. But this 666 degrees from Hitler shit needs to end. We need to learn to cooperate with people who don’t like us very much, because they are now the majority among the youth, including among the nascent intelligentsia – provided those people are willing to maintain any such cooperation.

Our hasbara would be infinitely better if we had more people who actually understand internet culture & possess a sense of humor. Relying on Con Inc to deliver that is retarded. Cuckservatism is a dead brand (and a psyop), far weaker than Groyperism (which is also a psyop, by other forces). Israel needs to embrace Nietzsche, both in its propaganda and in its policies. We need to be the absolute shitlords people imagine us to be, not in the ethnocentric tribalist turd-worlder sense, but actually become functionally based. We need greater libertarianism. We need collective “rizz.” Kvetching about Mygyn Kylly is not the way to do it. By the way, Charlie Kirk, who was consistently pro-Israel, understood all that.

The age of ziocucks is over. Jews and Israelis need to learn from Anglin, Fuentes, etc., and device influence/cooperation strategies that do not rely on philosemitic tradtards remaining a dominant cultural force, because soon enough they will be gone. I’d like people like Captive Dreamer to like us, not for any ziocuck or religious mumbo-jumbo reasons, but because we are — well, should strive to be — actually interesting people that can contribute to civilization. (Can we win over BAP with some muscular athletes?)

We need to prepare for the day after Con Inc.

Humungus says:

Perhaps… On the other hand a more subtle approach. Is it not better to make a reasonable compromise with all. Make peace… lasting peace. Become the example of compromise.

There has been too much violence, too much suffering. None is without sin. Just walk away… leave your weapons, your aggression, and your fears… Just walk away and their will be an end to the horror.

Mossadnik says:

We’ll you’re a bit cryptic and equivocal, so your comment can be interpreted in two different ways. If you suggest that I commit suicide and exit this horrible simulation – nah, I’m enjoying myself way too much, and I like challenges. If you suggest that I personally, or that we Real Israelis collectively, should just flee from the Middle-East, well… that may happen eventually, particularly given Haredi demography, but I don’t see that as inevitable – peace with (significant elements of) the Arab/Muslim world is forthcoming, and we may actually prosper for a long while. Do you think Zionism is doomed?

Humungus says:

Zionism means different things to different people. For me, it means very little.

War itself is always doomed to end. When a Nation places itself at odds with all around them, there will either be war or a slaughter. Compromise allows for boundaries where all can exist.

For those that believe there can be no compromise, they will either try to conquer all or make false peace until the next war.

Mossadnik says:

Well, if you’re worried about Jewish irredentism, it’s mostly a bogeyman. We’re not actually doing “Greater Israel.” Heck, we’re not even annexing Judea, Samaria, and Gaza, despite having ample justification to do so. (Fun anecdote: at my “do nothing, earn nothing” job, there’s an Arab guy who can’t stop smiling from ear to ear whenever there’s a terrorist attack. Guess what? I’m on good terms with him. Yes, I know he’d like to slit my throat. But the point is, on a personal level it is possible to practice some of what Jesus Christ preached. Even for a frothing Zionist like me.)

Now, if your concern is more with Mohammedan irredentism – that will need to be solved on a civilizational level, regardless of Israel. If Mohammedans can’t make peace with us, they won’t make peace with you either. Ultimately Mohammedanism will have to be defeated by someone. If they are constitutionally incapable of peace with infidels, then we’re not getting off this blue ball until their egregore is well and thoroughly defeated. With or without Israel. But some Mohammedans can maintain a Westphalian Peace, especially those who LARPing atheists. Besides, our neighbors are all declining, while we are not declining, so it’s increasingly in their interest to make peace with us. So I don’t really share your pessimism. But I’m open to be persuaded otherwise.

So, on those 600,000 Chinese students, I’m seeing two theories held out as to Trump’s motivation:

1. This is him being a “real-estate guy” again. That he naturally thinks of all these colleges facing declining enrollment as assets on America’s asset sheet, like business branch offices, or franchise locations. Thus, the natural thing you want to do is try to gin up new customers for these outlets to keep them open and on the positive side of the business ledgers. (This is the one I’m leaning toward)

2. This is the quid-pro-quo China demanded to allow the sale to the “donors” — that (as one person put it) Trump sold out the country in payment to China so that another foreign ethnicity can censor you online.

Thoughts? Any other explanations floating around out there? Will anything get Trump past this tendency to fall back into this mercantile attitude?

Your Uncle Bob says:

The story going around on the fifty year mortgage thing is that a guy named Bill Pulte got to Trump with a plan on a poster board, sold Trump on it in the space of ten minutes, Trump tweeted about it, and everyone was off to the races. Supposedly Trump’s own aides and cabinet weren’t all in on it, nor was it Trump’s original idea, just a last guy to talk to the boss problem.

With a grain of salt for the story’s sources working their own agenda, I do find it believable. Trump’s “motivation” there was, someone sold him on it.

Without ruling out one or both of your motivations, I imagine Trump’s motivation here is he and his admin are under that much pressure for immigration for its own sake. It’s clear there’s an elite and business constituency for ongoing immigration and worker replacement just intrinsically. Plus the new yet powerful constituency of immigrants and H1Bs themselves.

This faction or alliance keeps trying to “yes, but” the public on the issue. “Okay, sure, we see the Maga faction has broad public support and won an election and has the men with guns on their side so they can have their ICE raids, but we’ll keep doing what we want by getting a half million here and a million there under the flag of specific programs.” But there have been enough specific programs each individual reason starts to look specious, just a fig leaf for each particular cohort of invasion.

And by the way, 600,000 is a neat rhetorical trick. More than half a million, but the specificity of it keeps “half a million” out of the headlines. Reminds me of the story that A&W couldn’t sell a third pound burger because Americans thought it was smaller than a quarter pounder. In normal times 600k just might slide by.

It’s obvious. In Trump’s rotting boomer brain, the year is 1992 and the USA is 85% White. He thinks of the beautiful sentiment inscribed on both the Statue of Immigration and his own patriotic heart: “Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me/I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” and he knows the right thing to do.
