crash, data loss

I made a change that caused my automatic backups to working, and I failed to notice.

Then the server died, and I had to reformat the hard disk and restore from backup — at which point I discovered the problem with my backups.

As a result, we have lost about a month of posts and comments.

Please check your browser cache for recent articles. My cache is empty.

Right now, everyone make a copy of your browser cache. Everything you’ve read recently should be in there. I cleared my cache a couple days ago, then read all the Jim articles that had recent comments. Before I even run Firefox on that device, “cp -a .mozilla .mozilla.jim”

Jim will tell us later what he’s missing and how we should upload it.
