What is a “pastoral” Pope?
A pastoral Pope is one who is “close to the people”. And by “the people” they do not mean the typical Roman Catholic who attends church, or who might be persuaded to attend church. Not only is the “modern audience” tiny, but it does not play video games, watch movies, eat in restaurants, have sit down meals at home, visit parks, nor go to Church, because their IRL lives, families, and relationships are so severely dysfunctional. The progressive solution for this problem is to raise their self esteem and assure them that they loved and high status. And that is the central message of the Roman Catholic Church.
The “modern audience” is not suffering from lack of self esteem. Their self esteem is insanely high and utterly detached from reality. To do dog fights between drones, they have to have local intelligence. But what you really want to nail is not the other guy’s drones, but the other guy’s drone operators. Who may well be hard to find. Drone carried infrared cameras are likely to be useful, but the most effective solution is synthetic aperture radar, which requires huge bandwidth and huge processing power. But that processing does not have to be done in one hit. If the drone already knows what the landscape should look like to synthetic aperture radar and is just looking for what has changed, this can reduce the cost to something quite reasonable.
At present you are continually getting lots of two dimensional images from drones. These need to be built into a three dimensional landscape so that you can predict what the drone should see, and notice any change.
If both sides can kill anything they see, the winner needs to see more stuff faster. This is a data collection, data processing, and data analysis problem. The side that can best see the battlefield will win.

There is an uneasy peace at the moment but only at the moment. We are unsure whether Pakistan has enough self-control to keep hands off the trigger in the coming days.

But, if no penalty is prescribed for rape of an unmarried non virgin, if all the penalties for male sexual misconduct make no distinction between force and persuasion, the obvious implication is a society and social order that does not view female consent too seriously. Observed behavior is that female consent is opaque, and most opaque to the female herself, and that women never feel themselves bound by contracts and promises.
The Hebrew makes a distinction between forcing and seizing. Obviously seizing involves force, but the difference is that seizing implies keeping, while the other penalties address situations where the male has swiftly departed from the company of the female. Instead the Net Bible comes up with a convoluted rationalisation that in this case seizing does not imply force, though in every other usage in the bible it clearly does involve force or the threat of force.
